Forget the era of #30k for full tank. Subsidy is gone. Car ownership is not for the hungry. Everyone must learn cost management and work extra hard to make more money if you want to live comfortably.

Some places that I would have used my V6 car I use public transportation. Aba-PH-Aba using public transportation costs me 4k only. My V6 car would have gulped between 25k to 30k.

We must readjust. The old subsidized life is gone.

A friend in the east called me and was lamenting that his monthly post paid bill is 155k. How much is he earning, isn't the government plunging people into poverty.

Even if you want to defend the government, try to be reasonable. Imagine you're earning 200k and your street is dragged to band A where you'll have to spend over 75% of your income on electricity would you applaud the government?

When citizens of other countries spend less than 10% of their income on electricity, you're here defending a government that's making her citizens pay over 75% of their income on electricity. If you don't have any problem with that, it means you're still living in your parents house. The day you become independent and start paying your own bills your orientation would change.

Just like subsidy removal, almost every so called expert on TV and radio programs said subsidy had to go and that no nation can afford to have multiple exchange rates, now government removed subsidy and harmonised the exchange rate. As soon as there was a fallout of increase in prices and high inflation, the so called experts abandon government to face the music alone.
