Immatex:The proposed CBN rule is the way to go. At the inception of this BDC idea they were barred from many things: no fx transfer, maximum fx transaction, quality of staff, no offshore account, no inflow into their dom accounts, lodgements can only be cash and tcs etc. Today they have unofficially taken over the functions of banks in fx transactions. |
Ibegtodiffer:Read very well the matured statement of TUC leader. They have been slighted four times by Ajaero. You can't compare leader of well trained workers and leader of jankara workers. Their thinking and approach differ. |
betshopagent:You must know what is required to be qualified in other to determine whether someone is qualified or not. You wouldn't know what is required unless you are qualified yourself. Can you teach what you were not taught? |
@betshopagent I am not qualified but that doesn't mean people whom are not suitable should have the job. My own is that they should shun political members and go to professionals in each of their giving field. @me If you are not qualified how would you know who is qualified or not. |
@ogbonti… because Tinubu is busy printing trillions of naira and changing it to dollars for him and his cronies to steal - that is why the dollar is rising a forger is at the helm of affairs and we wonder why our money is falling when the forger is busy forging trillions daily and stealing it by converting it to dollars I have said this up to 100 times here - no policy will work because his turn to loot is not to repair. @me This government has not been raising money through ways and means. The present CBN governor said that it will not happen until the old ones are paid. This is one of the evils of emefeli's days as CBN governor. This is partly the reason for high inflation and exchange rate. Say what you know and stop spreading falsehood. |
@betshopagent Manage Manage na him dey choke us more. At this point we don't need management. Technocrats are what we need not politicians parading their illegally gotten certificates. @me Hence you know the right qualifications and you have them, why not apply? |
@betshopagent this is owned by bart nnaji. So it's a private owned company. Don't hail tinnubu yet. Inviting him is more like saying "this is what you should be doing" @me You did not read where they acknowledged federal government's assistance of late. |
@raphemmanuel what do you think drives the price of dollar high? @me Demand and supply factor Speculators Arbitrage activities Rumour Massive illicit naira in circulation - they convert to dollar because it's portable. They care less about how high the rate is because the source is not a productive venture. |
@raphemmanuel At the Bolded. The reason why it is so, is because you can easily access this currency at the bank without denial. Know this!!! The problem of this country is from the head. @me This has to do with transfers and not cash. This was how it was done before IBB's regime. BDCs are licensed for cash transactions and limited amount. Everything has been abused. |
@AqualinaXYZ Make US get out They contributed to this senile frog in Aso Rock to rule us If they had released this fuuls Chicago results and drug credentials as when due we for know what next to do They mounted this old cargo for us as their puppet Invest in agriculture invest in agriculture as if Fulani herders go allow people go farm without killing them or using their cows to destroy their farm lands. @me Keep complaining and condemning while the train keep moving. You want subsidized life. Sorry no more petrodollar. |
@raphemmanuel Pesin wey ein house dey burn dey pursue rat. Very clue-less government, has nothing to offer. Always looking for whom to blame for their inability to take their responsibility. This time around is not abokifx, na Bureau De Change the kill Nigeria economy. Tufiakwa!!! What a bad time to a Nigerian. @me You will not understand. When naira was strong there was no BDC. Possession of dollar was illegal. There is no country in the world were foreign currency is openly hawked on the street. You can't be openly trading cash pounds sterling on the street of New York. |
@fredsamuel1 I wonder the kind of brain that God created this type of idiots with, imagine these fools when they were young were called the leaders of tomorrow. We are cursed in this forsaken country. @me You and your gang are cursed. I'm a Nigerian. I'm not cursed. |
@EbolaTinubu Nigeria is cursed with bad leadership. If you expect anything good from this set of criminals, then you are a fool. @me Why are you living in a cursed country? It means that you are cursed. Why are you interested in the affairs of a cursed country? It means that you like curse therefore you are cursed. Why are you making money in a cursed country? It means that you like cursed money. Therefore it means that every money that you touch is cursed. |
@gaby Na Gun Tinubu and Okoso Cardoso wan take halt the Naira wey dem float? Wonders shall never end. Economic Talibans. Una must rule by fire by force. Na una turn, indeed. Shoot at sight any Dollar you see....lol @me You will not understand. In the 80s up to early 90s when the value of naira was higher than dollar one common denominator was that it was illegal to be seen with dollar. The malams on broad street were doing it illegally. They were constantly raided. There was no BDC. All fx transactions were done through the bank. Things as little as purchase of books were done through the banks. Can't we return to this regime and stop this madness called speculation? |
@Penguin2 Old buffoon! No wonder he’s not rated anywhere and by anyone. A very foolish idiot. If Gowon talks, nobody is moved. But let Obasanjo, IBB or Theophilus Danjuma sneeze now, and you will see Nigeria catching cold. I know Tinubu is already feeling the heat and the impending hurricane. That’s why he’s clutching on straws that won’t save him. I’m surprised he and his gang of criminals didn’t know that Nigeria is too big for them to mess with. They thought if they could get Mahmoud to rig them in and buy up Supreme Court judges, then that would be it. You fools will learn! Ndi ala! @me Who is IBB please? Is he a Ghanaian? |
@dragon2 Basic Economics, Demand, Supply Curve . @me If you supply more speculators with illicit naira will buy more. There is so much naira in circulation that came through ways and means by the last regime. The solution is to cut off their illegal sources of dollars which should have been channeled to productive use. Let all fx transactions be through banks. Ban BDC. |
@cutecommend One needs to be careful. Our great, powerful and beautiful RCCG should review the way pastors anoint members or lay hands on them. Members can come with their own anointing oil, receive prayers and anoint themselves. Trusted and matured pastors with good testimonies may be given more leverage to anoint and pray. But young and new pastors should do it very sparingly. If you go to MFM, Dunamis, members bring their own anointing oil, receive prayers and anoint themselves. That does not mean there may not be occasions of one or more pastors doing anointing with oil. Some pastors may or do not have clean spirit, and them laying hands or anointing innocent members may not do good. @me If you do not trust your pastor to lay hand on you and anoint then he shouldn't be your pastor. |
@vanbonattel #1590 to one $ is calming the markets? ![]() When I said these people will rule with only propaganda, people thought I was joking. By next week they will tell you rice was sold at 80k only, a drop from 81k they sold it on January 31, and they will organise media events praise themselves for taking rice up 100%, and dropping it 2% later. @me You might not understand. The official devaluation was deliberately done to close the gap with the parallel market. Right now there's no attraction going to the parallel market. When majority of the transactions are done with the authorised dealers the CBN policies can work. |
@Rutherford2019 Hypocrisy He should not step his foot in SE and SS So Nigeria didn't need prayer during Jonathan government. @me Too late for you. He was in PH for the southeast and southsouth in January. The theme was promoted for a reason. Oya do your worst. |
@Gbogbowa he was only covered by the good work of OBJ. @me Good work of OBJ in Lagos state as in.... |
Let government give him #1m minimum wage and he will see #1m buy only 10 balls of akara. |
What a pity? Forerunners in the family gone without notice. Father, mother and first son. Lord have mercy. Who will manage the wealth left behind? |
@gaby Elementary school home Economics teachers heading a country's economic team and monetary policies. @me Yeah PhD economics holder who is only an expert on nairaland. |
@IrawoKross As terrible as Major Gen. M. Buhari administration is, did you read of multinational companies leaving Nigeria like the way they're doing now in Tinubu's disastrous administration which is just 9months old? Who wants to continue business operations when the economic team of the present administration only knows how to blame past administration and give excuses? When GEJ was in Power, Nigeria was ranked number one economy hub in Africa, beating the ever flourishing South Africa. So Mr clownish explainer, kindly sit this one out. @me Off track. The above doesn't tally with the content of the news. If dangote decides to cease his sugar operation and concentrate on his refinery does it mean that he has left Nigeria? You heart is so filled with hatred and politics that's why you flex every news to suit them. |
@IrawoKross What do you expect? When the drug baron said in his campaign; “Na statistics we go chop” you thought that would encourage foreign investors to continue doing business here? When we talk, the Ronu bellectuals will say that we're not patriotic. See the consequences. @me If you read and you didn't understand ask others to explain to you. Most of the majors are divesting from onshore operation because they are no longer too profitable because of their economy of scale. They are concentrating on offshore operations, gas and renewable energy. They're not leaving Nigeria but realigning their business operations. They sell off onshore operation to smaller players. |
@slaawomirr I lost 7million naira yesterday because one stupid bank in Czech Republic told my woman that my company is fake Though I will also suggest this things though it sounds funny But it works Sometimes smoke, drink alcohol and womanize This things reduces heart break. @me "told my woman that my company is fake" Which your woman? The woman you want to scam. Which your company? Your yahoo yahoo company. See your life. Team giving bad name to Nigeria. |
@IronGalaxy of course, you're husbands of other men how's the anal doing?@me Same sex is outlawed in Naija so think straight. We are not SA that practice events of Sodom and Gomorrah ![]() |
@IronGalaxy The same could be said of South Africa guy. @me This chest-beating SA guy you are here. How many times have we won you? We are your husbands anytime any day. |
@Nice2023 Name the place u are working let me visit u. Liar...I am in Aba now...tell me where u are working i will come now. @me You called me a liar, no problem....come to umule road. From seven deck to tonimas is not passable even in this dry season. Do you want me to mention more? |
@Nice2023 The only governor that is working. @me Working where? I live in Aba. It's all noise and no visible sign. Rainy season will still meet a lot of the terrible roads. |
@IronGalaxy SA will never expire when you lots are still deported from the likes of Niger. @me I'm sure that you don't know Nigeria too well. Nigerians deported from Niger? Hahaha... Most of the abokis in Nigeria that shine shoes and do menial jobs are from Niger. Niger is half dead because Nigeria decided to lock up. Accept the truth. In the eyes of average Nigerian SA is outdated. |
This has been my problem with the Nigerian citizens. We have developed the unitary mentality. Even if we restructure tomorrow we will still all be focused on FGN. All allocations to local governments what do they use it for. |
