Some pastors like to be called Daddy, Papa, Father, May be Uncle. . The extent at which it is going sounds ridiculous. . . I know a young pastor who says, the only person who should called him "Daddy " is his young son. .

ALl that Papa and Daddy irritates me when I hear it. May be its because its not part of me. But the rate I hear it: for instance and 40 years old man would call a 45 year old pastor papa. Some thing is wrong here.
I can understand if he's a far older person and he's called daddy. But using the word , "Daddy" or "papa" is so intimate that I hardly share with many people. I prefer calling them sir.

Ok if a new law is passed that bans tithes in churches today and only allow freewill giving, I wonder how many churches will fold up and how many new pastors will come out and say they have been called by God?
Its not every church or every pastor I'm comfortable with. I've seen all kinds of pastors and heard all kinds of preaching in my years as a Christian. I can vouche for some but not all. And I am very weary of many prosperity teachers.
It is also theresponsibility of a xtian to be discerning.

I'm not bothered if Tonto kisses in movies. But for two men to kiss, it's very disgusting. Just watch Monna Bikwe and that old guy that features in Super story French kissing themselves. Very awful. Shameful adults.

I don't know what the heck is wrong with this people's brain, especially the ones who lives under the spell of that stupiid biatch called Queen. They have been so brainwashed and battered with tax to the extent that they see  money as gold. Talking mostly about the ones who lives in England, you will always find them attacking pastors and questioning them when in truth, we all know how many pastors you went to and how many days of prayer and fasting you went through before you got that 6 months visa to the UK (with which you are now an illegal immigrant). So becos you live in England now, you think you know everything about money and can question people about their money?

Let me ask you a quick question, who the heck is your father to question anyone about his/her money? Have you questioned your queen for imposing so much tax on you? If you make more then 20-30k weekly, you pay 50% tax, is you all crazy? Isn't that questionable? God wants just 10% and you are crying, no wonder you people never have shiiit to send back home to your family. You will never hear of any UK people ever buoyant, they always want you to send them money.

Now back to Oyedepe's issue, are you people too dummb to see that he has million upon million of followers? If you for example has as many follower as he has on Facebook/Baseless Twitter or on your personal website, we all know how much you'll be cutting monthly from Google. Not to mention that this man sells million upon million copies of his books. If that stupiiid biatch who wrote Harry Potter ( that fictional senseless poo) could become a billionaire in dollar, why not Pastor Oyedepo? Why not Adeboye? Why didn't you question her? His church has presence in more than 40 countries, Dangote's Group does not have such presence and yet he is a billionaire in Dollar and you are not crying.

And to 'em moslems, Osama bin laden (may his wicked soul rest in pieces) was one of the richest people in the world, where did he get his money from? Was it not majorly from people sponsoring Allah's Worldwide Terrorism against christians? If he was free, he woulda hanged his jet beside oyedepo's. Finally, christianity is not by force. You give at will. Wouldn't you rather give your 10% to someone who would pray for your life to prosper the more, than give a higher percent to people like the queen or Nigerian government? Buncha morroons
@play boy I like ur post.
The reason some people bring up these topics is to discredit MOGs. But I think we should know where to draw the line between sincere MOGs and those after money. Even some fellow pastors complain about how most of their colleagues extort members et al.
That not withstanding, there's nothing wrong if a pastor is wealthy. Is there no one here who does not want to live in wealth? Some of these men were genuinely called by God, they gave up their careers. I know some make a lot of sacrifices for the gospel.

Fashola is taking up a lot of laudable projects. I hope these projects are properly maintained even afterthe office.

My suspicion is that of all the projects he has undertaken or is undertaking only the toll gates may last forever. Kudos Fash

Sports › Macho Man Randy Savage, The Latest Wrestler To Kick The Bucket by vislabraye(op): 2:05pm On May 24, 2011
Over 25 percent of the performers from Wrestlemania VII have died

By Chris Chase

Over one-quarter of the performers who took part in 1991's Wrestlemania VII have died, a wrestling website noted in the wake of the death of "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

The Wrestling Observer newsletter discovered that 14 of the 51 performers at the event have died in the past 20 years, with many of the deaths attributed to drug use (link is subscription only).

The list of wrestlers who have died since 1991 include some of the biggest stars in the sport like Savage, Andre the Giant, Miss Elizabeth and The British Bulldog. Causes of death include suicides, murder and heart attacks, some the result of years of anabolic steroid use. Savage died last week after suffering an apparent heart attack behind the wheel of his truck. His ex-wife, Miss Elizabeth, passed away after overdosing on a variety of drugs in 2003.

Looking at the list is a sobering reminder of the realities of a make-believe sport like professional wrestling. Not all of the men and women listed played a part in their own demise; referee Joey Marella was the victim of a car crash that occurred when he was driving home from a match.

As wrestlinginc.com points out, none of the 44 starters from the Super Bowl played in 1991 have passed away and only two of 44 boxers who held a championship belt that year are gone.

At 58, Savage made it nearly a decade longer than some of his deceased colleagues.

I'm shocked. Just last week I was watching his performance on TV. Christian Bennoit alos died a few years ago due to drug related problem.

Christianity Etc › Re: Preacher Bureau Of Investigations Exposing The Greed In Our Pulpits by vislabraye(m): 9:51am On May 24, 2011
I dont know whether any of these men belong to freemason and i dont want to speculate.
It wont be a surprise to find out there are some pastors who belong to that sect. The scripture in Timothy says, in the end time some would fall away from faith and give heeds to doctrines taught by demons. Its very very true.

Although I dont want to join conspiracy theory, there are some statements TD Jakes made which are questionable. He was saying something subtly encouraging lesbianism and homosexuality. And when asked "is Jesus the only way?" he says , "there are other sheep which are not of this fold." the word of Jesus in John10, which he interpretes as it is possible for other non-Christians to enter Heaven.

As par judging others, we have to be careful as well as wise. The same Paul who says we should not condem was the same person who rebuked Peter for behaving like a hypocrite in the book of Galatians.

He buys players only that Wenger is too dull to coach the team

Arshavin, Squilacci, Kolscieny, Chamakh, Nasri were bought

In any Arsenal line up at least 7-8 players were bought

Almunia, Sagna, Clichy, Squilacci, Vermalaen, Kolscieny, Denilson, Eboue, Song, Nasri, Arshavin, Van Persie, M0r0n Chamakh, Wankott were all bought.

The problem is Wenger, He is too incompetent to win trophies
Hasnt he won trophies b4 ? What are u talking about? The second season of his arrival he won two trophies.
I think the problem has to do with attitude. He's more of a business man than a coach and the best players are getting fustrated. I dont blame them at all, if I were in their shoes I would leave except he changes.

Good.
I also hope he doesnt forget the Lekki Aja area where three toll gates are built. The money he has spent so far runs into many billions which I'm sure can build a power project to supply far more than 10 MW of electricity.

Spread the Love to all other regions of the state.

CR has achieved a lot. Thanks to his good set pieces skills which is superb. Being very good at set pieces (free kicks and penalties ) can boost a player's figures.

All in all, I still think Ronaldo Da Lima is the best

That amount plenty o no matter how much u want to see it. We need to understand the cost of the projects in hand and the revenue coming to Lagos. For instance that Lekki-Aja road road cost 50bn and mosty of these money was used in building toll towers.

While I dont believe in bashing Oyedepo for his wealth, I'm a bit curious and there's nothing wrong with being curious. In western countries, we've been hearing scandals about men of God. I know there are people who love to hear thing like this and some would even go to any length to frame these MOGs.
But asking a genuine question about his source of wealth is ok. I dont know how much he's worth, but according to people who attend his services, he doesnt collect offering more than once-- that is, he doesnt task his members so much.

I was told he has a gold mine. Well, I don't know how true it is. But the wealth and assets of the church is mind boggling. Its a mystery, really.
