Many have been feared injured after a gas station located around Akwa road in Onitsha, Anambra state, exploded, IgbereTV reports.

While another filling station was badly affected by the explosion which occurred on Sunday evening, 12th December 2021, two other filling stations were saved by men of Anambra Fire Service who promptly responded to distress calls.

Eyewitness said the explosion which caused an earth shaking noise occurred around 7:30pm and a mechanic workshop sharing boundaries with the two affected filing stations was also consumed by the fire which ensued. Over 15 vehicles were said to have been burnt.

The number of casualties is still unknown at the time of this filling this report.

FIRE INCIDENT REPORT AT CHRIS-TEE AND SILVER FUELING STATIONS NEAR BOROMIO ROUNDABOUT, ONITSHA

At about 1930hours (7.30pm) of yesterday being Sunday 12th December 2021, we received a distress call of fire outbreak at one of the fueling station at Onitsha.

Immediately, our Firefighters and fire trucks were deployed to the fire incident scene to fight and extinguish the fire.

On getting to the fire scene, we found out that the fire was in Chris-Tee and Silver filling stations near Boromio roundabout, Onitsha.

At the fire scene were four (4) fire fighting trucks and Firefighters, and other sister agencies who were helping in the crowd and traffic control.

As at the time of this report, we are yet to ascertain the route cause of the fire outbreak as that can be determined after proper fire investigation. To the glory of God, no life was lost at the inferno. Although, about two tanker loaded with diesel and about 7 different cars were burnt during the inferno.

The Fire was fought to standstill with mixture of water and chemical foam compound. Our firemen and fire trucks are safe after fighting the fire.

Men of Fire Service finally left the fire scene at about 0125hrs (1.25am) of Monday 13th December 2021.

According to information on ground, the fire started at CHRISTEE Gas plant and spread over to the two other near by SILVER Fuelling Stations and other places.

I want use this medium to let the public to DISREGARD, that the Anambra State Fire Service came to unprepared to fire scene. We are ever ready to fight fire anywhere in Anambra State. That all the public owe Anambra State Fire Service is to call them in time. Your call in time will determine the RESPONSE time to any fire distress call.

I want people to DISREGARD, that it was Delta State Fire Service that came to fight the fire at Onitsha. We must know that Delta Fire Service did not cross the boundary talk less of coming closer to the fire scene.

We must remember that fire prevention/fire safety management is everybody's business while fire fighting remains for fire service especially when the fire has gotten out of control.

Finally, I want to reassure Ndi Anambra of our commitment to our duty of safeguarding the lives and properties of Ndi Anambra in terms of any fire outbreak.

CCTV Captures Moment Man Dropped Charm at His Best friend’s Door [VIDEO]. security footage has exposed the moment a Nigerian man dropped a charm at his best friend’s house.

According to reports by Instablog9ja, the man, who did not realize he is being recorded, could be seen pouring some powdered substance at the entrance into the apartment in Cheras, Malaysia.

 

It was gathered that the owner of the apartment had been complaining of health issues, only for him to check a neighbor’s CCTV and see what his best friend did.

The culprit was banished from living amongst other Nigerian brothers, and in a part of the video, he could be seen being escorted out of the premises with his bag on his head. One of the men shared the story, writing;

A Nigerian man has revealed that a bank paid him with fake naira note without him realising it till much later.

He said that he visited a bank in the morning to withdraw some money which he wanted to use to pay for a product in another bank.

The man had entered the bank hall and withdrew the money over the counter, however it was when he went to the other bank, that he was made to realise a fake naira note was given to him.

According to him, the bank staff in the second bank was counting the money when she spotted a fake naira note.

She refused to give him the money and said that it would have to be perforated and that if he wants it back, he would have to visit police station with a photocopy of the cash.

In a video posted on social media, he issued an advisory for people to ensure they count their money and inspect it to spot fake currency.

A middle-aged man suspected to be a ritualist has been set ablaze in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

Our correspondent gathered that the suspect, whose name could not be ascertained, was killed and set ablaze on Friday morning.

He was arrested by the angry residents of Ashi, Bodija, and Akobo for allegedly turning two students of Bashorun Ojoo High School into tubers of yam.

The incident occurred at the front of the school.

Sources said that the man was arrested when it was discovered that he turned the students into tubers of yam.

All efforts made by the residents to prevail on him to turn them back proved to be abortive.

The man, according to sources who asked not to be named, was tied with ropes and interrogated.

His inability to provide concrete answers made the angry residents set him ablaze.

The remains of the suspect were later dumped at the front of the school fence.

Our correspondent, who visited the school a few minutes after the incident, observed that the remains of the suspect are still lying on the same spot.

In a video obtained by DAILY POST, the man was tied with roped with two tubers of yam placed before him. It was however unclear if he actually turned the students into the tubers as teachers at the school refused to comment on the incident.

None of the residents in the area was also ready to speak when our correspondent visited the area.

All efforts made by DAILY POST to get a reaction from the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Adewale Osifeso, also proved abortive as several calls put through his mobile phone were not answered. A cleric identified as Goodheart Val Aloysius has reacted to the donation of award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido to orphanages across the country.
Aloysius in a post said the Davido Music Worldwide boss would not make heaven if he fails to pay tithe from the two hundred million naira donated to him by his friends.
NAIJA LIVE TV had earlier reported that Davido garnered over two hundred million naira after charging his friends and colleagues to donate N1m each for his birthday.
Davido in his post had said he wanted to use the money to clear his Rolls Royce at the port.

The singer to the surprise of many added fifty million naira to the donation and gave it to orphanages across the country.

Davido constituted a 5-man committee to see to the donation to orphanages and added that the gesture will become an annual activity.
