I have been on this site long enough to say that SOME of the mods are incompetent. It baffles me to see irrelevant posts make front page, eg list of rich students on unilag campus or Kim Kardashian in Nigeria post... |
chemicstein: Y is everybdy blind, they can't see that america is behind this boko haram sect.they are planning to invade nigeria like they did in libya, afghanistan n Iraq.they need a reason to do so so they keep sponsorin n training boko haramites to be carry out acts of terror so that they will see this as a reason to send thousands of troops n set up a millitary base in Nigeria in they name of fighting terrorism.then they will start siphoning our oil to america...giving orders to our president...if goodluck refuses them, they will sponsor n support a revolt to topple his govt as they are doing to Assad in syria...can't you see what all they countries u.s has invaded since 9\11 have in commonIgnorance is a disease... get well soon |
Can't believe you promised to convert just to hit it... bro you are digging a grave here... |
Morgan1092: Am guy bt it drives me nut seeing guys beat ladies(like 1 frnd of my). 4me, beating is nt among my 1million options no mata what. Dnt even touch my kid 6tas. So Guys in d house do u beat ur partner & what can mek u do dat? Matured minds pls...I am sorry but PLEASE use proper English...... And to address your post; I honestly believe any man who puts his hands on a woman is weak and that makes him less of a man. A REAL man should be able to control his emotions, yes women could get us to that point where we just loose it but that is not an excuse to hit a woman |
I for like this your write up Charly Boy, but i heard you were Gay?
ok what has that got to do with his article... he is stating facts but all you seem to care about is his sexual preference. That is very shallow of you.... please stick to the thread, contribute something positive or STFU |
Next time I'll say take her and her friend(s) out right? Then have them eat and enjoy themselves. When the bill comes, pay for your stuff and leave... let them take care of their own bills! |
onila: ashawoOh wow, you sure are quick to judge! The question I have for you is did you UNDERSTAND what the OP posted? or are you just ignorant? This happened nine years ago you fool... gosh I hate people who jump to conclusions pretty fast, not taking so many factors into consideration.... kill urself |
4th to coment
You are stupid, uneducated and immature. Who gives a f**k if you are 4th to comment?! Gosh they should ban people like you! |

akhis: And a thread like this will hurridly make front page. This Seun self, sometimes i think if GEJ is his mentor. full of misplaced prioties.Sometimes I do not get NL 'politics' Important threads hardly make front page nowadays |
Kizuba: Dont you worry guys, let me just ask my oga at the top and get back to youThis is kinda getting lame if you ask me... any small thing is now 'oga at the top' please move on!! As for Babayaro, I saw an article on the bbc website last week about footballers who are currently bankrupt, I was surprised to see his name there but hey that's what happens when you do not invest. You cannot play football forever, Babayaro's career was very short, He was constantly injured, ever since he left Chelsea, he hardly completed a whole season elsewhere. I feel for him but hey he should have saved!!! |
I don't know.... I mean maybe you could go out and meet real people? Lets see..... school, church/mosque, neighborhood,clubs.... |
This is a complete disgrace. Are you telling me the NFF can't afford to appoint a couple of guys who would fly to Europe every month to check on our players? Is that too hard to do? Damn this is disgusting me |
I was in Atlanta 2 weeks ago to have my passport renewed and I must say its opposite what i have read here. though, I don't doubt OP. In fairness, to the staffs at the ATLANTA office, they were above par. The environment was casual, calm and free. I had all my requested papers in order, except the return envelope. I presented it to the man at the entrance who proceeded to checking me in. he gave me back my DOCuments in a folder to take to another window. got to the window, stood there for a bit and a man came to the window and just took the folder without saying a word to me...he left then few minutes later, I requested for his attention and he came back. I asked him whats next? he said "just sit down, we will call you" ..now I found that a little unprofessional so I told him, "Sir how could I have known that I have to sit down after dropping the folder? moreover, you came to the window to pick it up without acknowledging my existence/presence then you want me to read your mind". he apologized and I appreciated him for accepting his fault. fast forwarding, everyone in the room were well behaved, folks were mingling and to my amazement at a minimal noise...maybe, just maybe the folks there that day ain't NIgerians...I'm kiddin. I had my biometric and YES I SIGNED IN ON A "NOTEBOOK". then I was asked for my return envelope..I asked the guy if it is possible to pick it up today? he said No..that ABUJA has to approve the passport first before issuance and that may not happen today..and that I shouldnt worry it will get to me no later than 72HOURS with the appropriate pre-stamped envelope. so I went behind the EMBASSY and got the envelope then came back. I sat down waiting on my 2 other accomplices to finish their own process so I can give them the envelope and have them mail all THREE in one envelope. about 3 hours later, we were all done and on entering the inner office to tender the envelope, this "Beautiful woman" whose job i think is to print the passport, told me in open at the LOBBY, she had come across my application already and that ABUJA has responded and that I must be lucky. I thought to myself, MADAM if na BRIBE i NO dey give , even if white house approve am sef. the custom officers in NIGERIA know me well well say anytime i come Naija I no dey give BRIBE whether entering or leaving. But to my amazement, she told me to wait a little while that she will hand me my Passport and the other 2 will be mailed. i said to myself DEVIL is a liar..is this happening in a NIGERIAN EMBASSY-that folks have written all sorts of nonsence about...WOW ! If this goes thru without "egunje" I swear NAIJA don dey better I quietly whispered to the lady next to me...nairalanders, the woman gave me my ecowas passport, without looking at me TWICE. i felt something! honestly I did. what it was I DON'T know...if you do feel free to tell me. anyway, My sincere appreciation to all the ATLANTA staffs. though, there's room for improvement.I'm proudly Nigerian..even though I have a blue passport too...love y'all.
I am glad you had a good experience at the Embassy in Atlanta. Too bad the one in Washington D.C is the total opposite. |
She does not wanna have anything to do with you again... |
Subzero101: fist to comment sha....DOES IT MATTER if you are the first to comment?! Do you get to live longer? Do you get a degree? I mean it makes no damn sense!!! Ok now back to the topic, I am guilty of #2. I simply would not let go of my unlimited data plan even though I do not even use up to 2GB a month because there is wi-fi at the 3 main places I am; school, work and home... |
Thats ridiculous, she needs to come up with a better excuse for not dating you. I lived with a Manchester United fan for about 3 years. I dated a Manchester United fan who actually taunts me anytime we loose. |
nzeaji: This embassy wahala is not just peculiar to the one in the United States, it is even worse here at the embassy in Canada.LOL I am sure they will get to it in 2023 |
victorazy: All these things are lies, someone is trying to portray our beloved embassy.Ok You mind telling me what embassy you visited? I am Nigerian, I have no reason to make things up! Have you been reading the previous comments? Do you see the amount of people who have echoed my concerns? |
Rastamann: Is a notebook not a good technology? At least a laptop notebook is an improvement OR is that not what they have?Oh the notebook am referring to is a regular notebook, not a notebook/laptop. As in pen and notebook lol |
I was on the phone with a friend of mine yesterday who was telling me about her experience at the Embassy of the FRN in Washington D.C. Here are the issues currently facing this embassy. 1.Unprofessional: Imagine a situation where you call the embassy for information, the attendant at the front desk puts you on hold and the next thing you hear in the background is the incompetent guy yelling across the hallway in DELETED. Or better yet imagine another scenario where they mistakenly give an original copy of your birth certificate to someone else. Yes that happened! 2.Favoritism: Yes we are known for this! I mean hey it’s everywhere right? Its either you know someone who has the authority to make things happen or your money is doing the talking. Well here is how it works at the embassy; favoritism is the reason why MOST of the workers there got the job, to be honest they are not fit to work there! And oh yea I have actually seen people work in there to get their passports without scheduling an appointment. 3.Extortion: Was it not last year that the embassy had their assets frozen by the FBI? Can anyone tell me if someone in Abuja investigated the reason why the FBI decided to do that? How can someone withdraw $50,000 in hard cash? These are questions that will probably never be answered. So here is what really grinds my gears; when you apply for a passport online and pay the so-called ‘processing fee’, on the day of your appointment, they ask you for $35 money order. There is nowhere on the application site that mentioned the fact that you still need to show up at the embassy with money order. So basically that is a money making scam by someone at the embassy. Oh yea good luck questioning them why they are asking for money order. 4.Technology: It is a shame we can afford to pay JayZ and his wife $1 million to come to Nigeria but the technological resources at the embassy is a complete joke! Its 2013 and my beloved embassy still uses pen and paper to enter applicants information. In a situation where you complete an application online and you have a confirmation number, you are suppose to walk into the embassy with your confirmation number and identification and they should be able to pull up your application but alas! it does not work like that, they do not have a database, oh am sorry their database is a NOTEBOOK!! So the question I am asking is who do we blame for this shenanigan? We are the ‘giant of Africa’; our embassy should be filled with people who are WELL QUALIFIED to do the job, not with people who got the job because their mother is a friend of the big boss. Everybody should be treated equally irrespective of what your status is. My suggestion will be to close the embassy down for a few months, weed out the incompetent workers, hire dedicated workers, and hire an accountant! (That embassy is making money but it is going to the wrong pockets), upgrade the technology in there and reopen it. |
Psaalmuel: Diz z cwious..pesn dn turn tew mumu filish na..una wickd oh!Doubt you will ever get a woman using this sort of 'gibberish English' |
