Who are the men who didn't have the experiences? Was it the apostles? Was it Paul? Who?
2 Peter 1:19 (KJV)
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts

Peter draws us to the more sure word after describing the glorious transfiguration experience
The same men you are looking at that didn't have those experiences never did know if God could provide divine healing also.
Peter draws us to the more sure word after describing the glorious transfiguration experience

It's called progressive revelation. That's how God unfolds scriptures.
Care to share something God has revealed to you that Paul totally missed?

A
move comes and then later it's lost due to carelessness and wrong doctrines and then later God brings back that move again and the circle continues.
Scriptures please

Now I see this as a time when false teachings have greatly arisen to stop this moves again. People killing themselves with Idolatry and doctrines of men. As a results people try to apply those man made doctrines thinking it's of God but it never works for them.
This reminds me of you cheesy

As a result many turn their backs and become apostates. As it is prophesied in the Bible concerning the last days. Because they feel it didn't work so God must not be real. And God said those teachers of false doctrines He will judge severely. Because they helped in making many fall away.
And you are not apostate, you are not like 'other men' right?

Ask this guy if he is operating in the gifts of the Spirit. (I don't even know if you believe in that also or not). Has he raised people from the dead? has the blind seen? Because as far as I know, speaking in tongues is the thin-line to whether you walk in the supernatural gifts or not.
What is the measure of spiritual maturity?
Is it bubbling in tongues, something brand new believers do?

Jeromejnr:
Well you can't know. But i give scriptural backing for all I say and do.
And what makes you the book does not?

By their fruits you shall know them. Who has shared his testimony concerning what this man has taught? Instead he is keeping them from their inheritance.
How would you know if you can't read?

Great men of faith testified to tongues as the major power In their ministries.

John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Etter, Oral Roberts, Charles Finney e.t.c. Men and Women that brought out great revivals that changed cities. E.g. Azusa Street Revival.

What has people like this done? What has traditions and teachings of men in your church done? Instead they just bring men into more and more bondage.
The very bible you are quoting has been handed down to you for 1900 years by men who never had these experiences. Did you note you can't go beyond 100 years in history?

I don't discount experiences but I want my faith to be founded on the Word of God not experiences of men

You know some apostates have also written why they beleive Jesus is not God. And they will also claim to give you scriptural backing.

The devil using people to twist scriptures.

Hesresie upon heresies some of you promote here on NL.

The devil just keeps using many people to keep others from ushering in the move of God.

These same people that write all these have never experienced the supernatural move of God in their services and they will never because they do not honour His words.

The same tongues people use in casting out devils, getting healing and revelations is what some people are attacking.
Have you read the book or are you not judging?

But in reality, the old Testament was between GENESIS till the death of Jesus. Jesus functioned under the old Testament, and He really couldn't teach new revelations, because the folks of then could not receive it, because they had not the Spirit.

Mummy repeatedly curtseying (i.e. kneeling down to daughter) and saying thank you Pastor, thank you Pastor...

Who is lying when Pastor Chris, the husband has just ''realised'' by saying:
if a man of God is married, it doesn't automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God
that's not the way it is in the Bible that's why you don't really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible
How many of them? etc etc etc
There is an old joke about Cowboys never dying and never rotting should they die, and never smelling should they rot. This machismo is what Oyaks is breathing

Oyaks is in as many words telling us that when 'men of God' fall, it is because somebody 'out there' made them fall, and not that there is something inside them that made them fall. So when he succeeds, it is because God is with him and when he fails, it is because men made him fall. Covers all ends, is blameless either way.

When Peter misbehaved at Antioch, Paul addressed him not the men from Jerusalem who 'caused him to do it'. This victimhood is what makes rapists blame their victims for 'forcing' them to rape them

The bit about wives not being mentioned. It's not original Oyaks cliche, it is centuries old chauvinism. The narrative mentions relevant players to the plot men or women and couples where this is the case. Case in point is Aquila and Priscilla. Paul acknowledges them severally because they worked TOGETHER.

Romans 16:3-6 (KJV)
3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: 4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. 5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. 6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us. 7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

Here Paul salutes men, women and the couple.

Oyaks would gladly want to paint Anita as the cause of his divorce, he makes it clear it is against his wish and God hates divorce but he has been forced to by Anita in her immaturity, and had she known better, she'd have done otherwise. This is a half truth. The relevant question is not who filed for divorce by WHY they did it.

Matthew 19:9
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Question: for the man or woman who violates this scripture, can it be said that:

1.they committed adultery

or

they are in a state of adultery

i.e
by remarrying is it just viewed as a one time act of adultery that could be forgiven if forgiveness is sought or God forever views the new union as an adulterous one(so long as they remain together, it can be said they are living in adultery)

Which is applicable pls

PS:it's been awhile since I had any discourse with most of you, I guess compliments of the season won't be out of place!!! Love y'all
This is an interesting question that has competing views.

The question actually is inspired by how to remedy the situation. What if a non-believer turns to Christ after chasing/divorcing his wife and remarrying? Should he go back to the first one and leave the current? Or should this adultery sin be among his many that are forgiven?

The answer I believe lies in the spirit and not the letter of these words. The spirit must steer us away from wickedness

If we said the man just sinned and can subsequently repent and be forgiven,we are almost endorsing frivolous divorces which appeared to have been what Jesus was against. Should a Christian walk through sin hoping to repent and be forgiven right after? NO. That's abusing grace

On the other hand, a Christian who remarries knowing remarriage is adultery ought not to remarry instead of remarrying and repenting but 'keeping the goods'

So for me I favor #2

Vooks, not all repetitious prayers are vain repetitions.

What determines whether it's vain or not is the intention and mindset of the one saying the prayer. The verse you quoted shows that prayer that is said with the mindset that your many words is what matters...is vain.

However, one can repeat a prayer with a reflective mindset and it would be fine.
Good point

Jesus repeated the same prayer thrice.
And he told us not to make vain repetitions. Soo vain repetition is not praying for something severally. Mumbling memorized lines especially in quick succession counts as vanity

The living creatures in Revelations are seen repeating the same prayer forever and ever.

Are those vain repetitions?
They were worshipping not praying. That's a song

2. They will train you how to fight demons and to be bold like a lion but they trust battle-hardened badasses for their security not angels

3. They will teach you principles of 'financial abundance' but instead of using them on themselves, they will coerce and blackmail you to part with your money so they can live large

4. They will tell you how you should walk in the light and be open to your spouse on all matters especially finances but they seldom account fr all you entrust them with?

Anita and Oyaks married publicly, and they made RORs together for years, and she ran with London branch for years.

So while Oyaks may have succeeded in stifling his sheeple (Gombs) questions around their marriage will ALWAYS haunt them both.

The sooner they open up the better.

TB Joshua has gone underground all over sudden. He has been spinning all sorts of theories from controlled demolition to sci-fi laser weaponfrom a 'hovering' airplane to explain away the fact that he murdered 116.

I know countless faith healers who HIDE their sicknesses and their appointment with the best hospitals.

When these glorified and deified fellas' humanity rudely shows up, they really get confounded.

For Oyak, regardless of ROR doing better than all Christian books combined, his failed marriage is his thorn in the flesh
