EL rufus is loosing it... you can never win a united people with defined purpose, that is why politics is majorly based on divide and rule.

If all health workers drop tools united... the people would go against you in mass, thugs cannot man health facilities neither can politicians.
Though you are right, but those health workers pledged to save lives.. Why the sudden change?

Family › Re: Help!!! My Environment Is Draining Me Psychologically. by VTJN(m): 11:18am On May 13, 2021
Iamdbull:
I moved from Abuja to a popular local town in ogun, I don't want to mention the name, in order to pursue my music career.

First of all let me explain something, sometimes as human beings to keep the spirit healthy you need people superior to you or people of higher value to draw energy from or to draw inspiration or an environment that excite and brings live to you or make you alive.

Now that's the problem am facing currently, there are no too many well to do young people in my environment, I can decide to stroll from one street to another and like 10 people would have begged me for money, I went to chicken & co ( it's a fast food outlet like kfc or chicken republic) and I was stopped and harassed by police just because I bought food at a fast food joint. They were asking me what I do for a living. What saved me that day was that I was dressed in some faded clothes, i can't dress nicely because everyone will start hailing and begging me for money and as an introvert I hate unnecessary attention, the ones that don't beg for money will try and engage one in some meaningless side talks that will lower your I.Q.

The ones that are okay are Yahoo boys and I can't relate with them. It's really getting depressing, I can't remember when last have had a highly intellectual conversation. Everyone just seems so rigid and unexposed and it's tiring. I am not really sound and exposed myself now imagine people reducing the little I.Q I have. It's so depressing.

Naturally you Will expect me to move from there but the nearest place is Lagos which will have to be on island because I hate noisy environment and you know how expensive that will be. Am so tired and fed up
Ogun state is not that bad completely though depends on the location

I reside around Agbara environ, a store throw from Lagos

It's a cool place with adequate power supply

It's an industrial area, you get to find the good and bad once

Personally i did isolate myself due to my kind of person (introverted?)

Nonetheless, i still have one or two peeps that reason alike!

Those attributes you made mentioned exhibited by the inhabitants in your area isn't present here

If you are a police or military man in SE/SS parts of the country, Resign or just abscond from the service.
Your family needs you. If you die, the country will move on, your family including wife and children will suffer, Nigeria will not care for them and wicked Nigerians cheering you on now will not care for them either.
Nigeria is not worth the blood of anyone, especially the commoners which you are part of. If anyone should be dying to keep Nigeria United, it should be the political class and their families. They are the ones benefitting from the current arrangement.
They should send their children to the East and arm them to fight UGM. It is they whose means of sustenance is at threat should Nigeria cease to exist.
I wish they can do exactly what you said, this country doesn't worth their blood shed!

Resignation is the best option for them now, expecially those in South East and South South

Toks2008:
We all need respect but this thread is about the men so let's stick to the subject.

And let me make some things clear as regards this respect of a thing...

Many people usually say respect is earned and I quite understand that but the question is.. "Do you wait for your parents to earn your respect before you give them"?

The Bible never wrote at any point that you should "submit/respect your husband ONLY IF HE EARNS IT"

It was an absolute instruction that has no condition attached but we can argue that if the guy misbehaves then he does not deserve your respect but that is where many ladies got it wrong...

If at anytime you feel you can no longer submit or respect that man, just leave his life... But as long as you still decide to be with him, respecting him is very sacrosanct regardless.
That same Bible said Men should love their wife wholeheartedly and unconditionally

How many men of today's generation follows that rule

What you seems not to understand is that the task God bestowed on men is far higher than that of women

How many men of today's generation love their wife unconditionally
I'm pretty sure you know what that words "UNCONDITIONALLY" simply means

Go back and read the post. He's already on a high profile job.

Secondly, we must develop as a nation.

Why is it that you don't get what you apply for in Nigeria?

From university to labour market.

The company advertised and he applied and you said he suit admin assistant. Do you even know who's an admin assistant?

They guy has a high self esteem and that is good. He has developed himself above that low level admin assistant and that is very good.

Advice: go back and read the post. HE'S NOT JOBLESS that's he said if you know me you won't say that.

Thanks bro,
do you know much about Osun state University? and if they will also take new candidates this year?
osun state university isn't bad, but their tuition fee and other necessity are somewhat high compared to Lasu

There's vacant for utme candidates, but for now direct entry isn't available for medicine aspirant

You have higher chances of getting admission to osun state university as they are not competitive compare to that of lasu

But you must consider the cost!

I don't really know much about LASU admission,I'm an aspirant who wants a school with fast academic calendar and solid academic system.
if not so for LASU ,can you guys pls recommend any other schools in south west that is likely to resume this year..thanks in advance.
Lasu is a good choice as they're to resume this year

but if you're just preparing to write jamb Your resumption is next year

Lasu has one of the best college of medicine and their academic calendar is currently one of the fastest

Lasu consider olevel and jamb for admission

for aspirant of medicine you need distinctions in your 5 olevel compulsory subjects and minimum of 295+ in jamb, expecially if you are not Lagos indigine

Lasu do consider their indigine first, but a non indigine can get in with good result!
Education › Re: Advice Needed, I'm Totally Confused by VTJN(m): 10:04am On May 04, 2021
Ademola47:
Firstly bro, when it comes to getting medicine, age is a negligible factor. Don't incorporate age into your plans.

Having a first degree in Chemistry isn't bad, to make it better you completed it happily. There's no remorse whatsoever.

Since you are still on the path to medical school, taking jamb is fine. But with the type of huge competition faced among medicine aspirants, do you think you can spank 300+ (at least) if you start preparing now since the exam is in about one month's time?

Truth be told, I doubt it. Why? Since you've had your first degree in chemistry, you've narrowed your academic paradigm to mainly chemistry. Even if you scale through biology, what about physics and use of English. The first degree will give you leverage later in your year one.

Without being trying to discourage you, the best thing to do if you must get medicine is to dust your four o levels and Jack thoroughly, to be foundationally reinforced. That should take about 4 straight months of intense reading.

However, you may take the jamb on a 50-50 base to know where you are lagging behind, and to try your luck.

What about your o levels? Do you have distinctions? If No, stay away from schools doing Screening instead of post utme.

Another thing worthy of mention is the financial aspect. I don't know how loaded you are, but if averagely, I will advise you to hustle and get some kobos before running MBBS admission.

Best of luck!
Spot on!

Career › Re: Dilemma Of A Fresh Graduate by VTJN(m): 9:11pm On May 03, 2021
Good morning Nairalanders.
Please I'm in a dilemma right now. I'm a fresh graduate and possibility of me going for service this year is very low due to my school slow mobilization. I did alot of hard labour during my days in school (mostly labourer) in other to pay my bills without requesting from my parents. I'm the last born of my parents and ever from my teenage days I always love paying my bills without depending on anyone. I graduated with second class upper from the department of Business administration, not that I'm brilliant, am just an average student who loves giving his best. After rounding up with uni I had to leave 2weeks after in order to represent my elder brothers in my sister's introduction because they said they won't be able to come due to some situations (my regret that I left school too early). I spent all i had saved in school after 2weeks at home doing nothing and I hate staying idle(already used to school suffering and hustling) then I decided to search for job. I finally got one as a sales boy, 12k monthly Monday-Saturday with hard labour. My boss gave me my salary yesterday evening and I almost cried, I felt dejected my zeal for the work reduced to zero. The money added to my depression cause I was expecting him to add to my salary cause have made alot of sacrifices for him, he knows I'm a graduate but he decided not to help. This man do brag of me to his friends how hard working I am (though he has never tell me to my face) and he told them he is scared of losing me. We make sales of nothing less than 1M a day. I was told he paid the guy working with him before 15k with daily feeding of #400 even though he knew the guy was stealing from him till he got fed up and send him away. I don't want to steal his money because I hate stealing (I don't even have the mindset of stealing).
Now I have to share NEPA bills with my mom and I will have to drop 5k for feeding out of the 12k and I still have to save so I'll be able to collect my result when my school release it.
Deep down of me I want to learn handwork, but how will I survive? I'm 25yrs old. The only thing I'm benefiting from my parents are mental instability, depression, morning and night food, not like the food is okay am just managing it.
I'm thinking of quitting the work please advise me
my brother quitting the job with no hope in sight for another job is pretty risky and i won't advise you to do that

No doubt it's not been easy for we that came from poor background, we only keep pushing and be hopeful for a better tomorrow

Don't steal his money, don't quit the job yet if you don't have any in replacement, don't cut curners to make money

Just keep on pushing till when God finally pick your call, by then you can gladly say the storm is over!

If i should say my own side of story for you, what I've gone through just to be a better person in life

The root cause of our predicament is our background, we are from a poor background

Considering the nation we found ourselves, it will take nothing but grace for us to change our family condition for good

Let's just be hopeful for a better tomorrow and never succumb to peer pressure

It is well!
