Christianity Etc › Re: As A Christian, Must One Believe Everything In The Bible To Be Literally True? by Vulcanheph(m): 1:08am On Dec 23, 2018
I know this would offend some religious fanatics out there but I don't believe everything I have read in the bible...
Let us look at this logically :
-A collection of writings that hmwas been documented over a period of over 1500 years.
-This documents was written originally In three languages (Hebrew, Aramic and Greek )
-This scripts were rewritten again and again for preservation.
-They were edited and many parts removed.
-Then translated in more than 2-3 languages before it got to a language you understand.
Somewhere along the way they are bound to be errors, mistranslation, misunderstanding etc.
I don't saw that I don't believe the bible, I just believe that there is a possibility that it isn't 100% accurate.
Anyone out there who feels I'm wrong should tell me if he/she was there over 2000-3000 years ago when everything took place.
Islam › Re: Some Problems With Noah's Ark Story by Vulcanheph(m): 12:46am On Dec 23, 2018
I'm a Christian, I just went through the unnecessary procedure so I can be able to comment and because I'm happy that there is another liberal free thinker who hasn't let religion cloud his sense of judgment and reasoning.
Concerning the story of Noah... It happens to be one of the most absurd stories ever told and technically it doesn't make sense. Truly speaking I've asked the same questions about the story of Noah and basically every other religious story I've read in the bible and most of them make no sense from a realistic point of view.
Also upon doing further research outside the bible I came to realize that the "Legend of Gilgamesh " which resembles Noah's story and "The legend of Sargon " which resembles Moses' story and even the creation story all originated from ancient Sumeria in Mesopotamia , a civilization that history claims existed before Moses(The person that is believed to have written Noah's story).
Also the Israelites spent decades in Babylon(a kingdom that originated from Sumeria) so it's possible that the Israelites borrowed the flood myth from them and simply updated it to fit their culture. Besides every culture around the world from Africa ,South America and the Caribbean all tell a version of the flood myth.
Finally anybody who feels bad that I entered a Muslim thread when I'm not a Muslim should understand that I did it to share knowledge because as they say "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER"

This writer is copying the concept of LoveToRead story titled The sugar mum. Next Big mummy is gonna ask for is a massage, I know that. Writer please be creative, we ve seen this storyline before. Make a plot twist different from what we ve read before to captivate your viewers. Thanks
Yeah I've noticed the little similarities between this story(lost in lust) and another story on NL called the sugar mum(which I'm also following)... But so far the similarities are small and this story is just beginning, but I was still waiting for it to becomes too obvious before I let the writer know.
But so far I'm thrilled and I'm enjoying it.

Literature › Re: Countless (a story of Sex, Betrayal and vengeance) by Darousmart Emmanuel. by Vulcanheph(m): 11:36am On Dec 21, 2018
Dear Mr Daroussmart
First of all I wanna say I love your story, I enjoy every single episode. In fact it was because of your story that made me register on nairaland after many months of being a ghostreader,(infact you were the reason I became addicted to nairaland). I am one your biggest fans and I've been following you bumper to bumper.

Secondly, Bleep the critics and don't allow what they say get to you, M.i. and 2baba say "if nobody talk about you then you are nobody" the critics forget that nairaland is free therefore what you see is what you get, I've spent my money buying lots of Nigerian movies and magazines but none has given me the thrills and enjoyment your story gave me.

Also one of the reasons why me and I'm sure most of your fans love your work is because unlike most nairaland writers who will get you hooked to a story and then abandon it you have been consistent and I love you for that(platonicly o... I no be homo o!!)
And even if you decide to charge us for the book, I wouldn't be mad because I know the story is worth it.

Finally forget that school matter, most of the greatest and wealthiest men of our time never went to school or were dropouts (Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, m. Zuckerberg etc) so it doesn't matter how many degrees you have for you to be successful and most of all many people have discovered the calling by mistake ,so you might be a mason but this is probably a sign from the universe that you are cut out to be a writer

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.... KUDOS!!!!

haywire07:
Umahi is PDP and Buhari is APC

Now what is my point?

Engr. Umahi did not allow partisan politics to stop him from tapping good ideas on how to manage his government.

Just like Buhari placed more ban on importation of rice , Umahi also adopted the same principle in his own state.
Nobody can legally sell imported rice in Ebonyi . Rice farmers are smiling because virtually all Rice consumed is produced and processed in Ebonyi.

If all states can behave in like manners, trust me, agriculture in Nigeria will come back to life.
I pity you if you believe that all the rice we consume in the country is produced locally.... Importation of rice is still on a large scale In this country, even the ones that has naija labels are repackaged when it has been successfully smuggled in.... . Don't be decieved
