anitank: No. it would ask me to contact my service providerAnitank, hotspotting is enabled on the airtel BIS, no APN settings necessary, just plug and play. you dont even have to subscribe to BIS with your simcard in a BB device. just put your airtel sim in any android, iphone, ipad or phablet of your choice and send short code to the appropriate number mobile hotspotting is also enabled on the Etisalat network but just not on the BIS. you need to subscribe to regular data plan to use that feature. i have used it on Etisalat so i know that for a fact, the Etisalat network allows it. if you don't have a data plan and you enable it, your airtime credit will suffer |
post a pic of the memory card in question |
Currently, its only airtel that allows you to share your BIS data via hotspotting glo has not enabled that feature while Etisalat and MTN charges your airtime for it |
mz meeday: Hallos!!! Is it possible to use my etisalat bis on my galaxy pocket, that's av subscribed for etisalt monthly plan on my bb...??you people need to spend a few minutes to find information rather than create a new thread everytime you have a question this topic has already been overflogged on this forum |
Wiz_khalifa: pls help... I use a Torch 9800. Nd ietisalat social plans have limitations on the type of apps that work. you must have subscribed to an IM plan that allows you to use chats apps but no social media apps like facebook and twitter and no internet browsing the best option for you will be the BB complete and its 1500 on etisalat |
Onyeasi: From the above. Can a Blackberry phone browse without BIS using operamini. I experienced that I can do whatsapp without subcription. Your comment is highly welcomed. ₪☺ discrimination.if you sim is provisioned for data, your BB internet app will ride on the data and i expect opera mini will also work. |
this is what the pic of the GS3 apps look like https://www.dropbox.com/s/aqkjt7kiifslsv1/2012-07-20%2007.26.31.png |
Cchi24: Thanx guy but plz where can i get a techno pc suite apphave you tried the internet? ![]() |
will like to know about this app too..seen it a few times on BB appworld |
trae_z: why are you asking? Anyways i presently browse with Glo...they've got the best reception in my axis.that's true, thanx for sharing. i still give Airtel kudos for the freedom their BIS data gives sha |
Etisalat Nigeria has a problem with CDMA balckberries so you'll probably not be able to use their BIS service |
Goodboy2012: pls nd pls nd plz Goodboy2012: 356848040002364if the IMEI you supplied is truly your phone's IMEI, then we should not be discussing because you don't have a Samsung GS3 |
Goodboy2012: Tnx.. My appz z nw savin on mem.cardlol...your apps wont save on memory card but anything you download from the internet, i.e. apk files, music and video files, office docs, pdf etc will all save on the memory stick. with GS3 all applications install on the internal memory card there's nothing to be jittery about...its just a phone and its not even the top dog phone in the world anymore. |
Dextra: T-Mobile.Sorry Dex, i'm not a GSM engineer |
Goodboy2012: whr exactly is it broguy, the many, VERY basic questions you're asking are really now making me worry...it doesn't sound like you have the phone with you. you sound more like an 80yrs old person trying to figure out gsm ![]() to answer this your question which i hope will be the last one, open the 'internet' app, tap the 'menu button', scroll down and select 'settings'. select 'advanced' and select 'default storage' choose 'memory card' from the list and close |
muhds1: can you use this plans on a smartphoneany plan that can be activated on a sim card can be used on a smartphone.... ![]() |
anitank: i just found the solution to it. Glo does not support the feature on a blackberry (my blackberry, since u said urs worked). i used a friend's Airtel line and then i went to the device options and put in Airtel APN, username and password. It worked perfectly as i was able to connect my tablet to the internet on one touch.... and the speed was like .....and when you put your glo sim back into your BB, was the hotspot still working? |
Goodboy2012: tnx bro...there's Google play store and Samsung Appstore on ur phone already. just logon |
Miss_BEdazzle!:almost every tom, dick and harry with smartphone in Naija that is not BB or iPhone is on android |
Goodboy2012: Bro.. Abeg give me ur 2go id..i don't use 2go |
Goodboy2012: pls.. Help with airtel settings .. I jus subscribed 4 d 1gb plan... Help if u use airtel to browse wit sam,gal s3it doesnt require any setting. just plug and play so long as BIS has been activated on your airtel line, GS3 will access the data. even if you use any other network and that SIM has been provisioned for data, GS3 will use data but the network will bill you on a PAYG basis and its more expensive |
mjay: Its the latest operating system for Android, faster and smoother. You need to root your phone first to be able to load it cos its not yet available as an update. What version of S3 are you using? international or USA/Canada?that's not correct. i have updated my GS3 to Jellybean about 3 weeks ago and i got the update notice directly on my phone |
Dextra: Mine's got Samsung written behind and I got it for 90k, how Can I unlock it? It's from USAthere should also be Samsung written on the front at the top just below the speaker. is it carrier branded? i.e AT&T, Sprint etc.....if it is not, you don't need to unlock it |
alstacs: Hello guys, I've made up my mind on buying a cyberpower 1.5kva inverter but a friend warned me that some inverters don't charge when the current is low or high. I have a friend who has luminous and he is thinking of giving it out now. Current in his area is low and doesn't charge the inverter and when he uses his generator, the current is too high.been using cyberpower inverter for a while now. i know it alerts you when the current is low and even switches to battery so it can maintain the feed to the apartment at 220V. if the current stays low for a long period of time, then that could be a problem in the long term but if its an occasional thing, i don't think its anything to worry about |
SpaceAngel: Can a 0.8kva sukam inverter charge two 12v 200Ah battery.it should be able to charged them |
1supremo: Mine is hermaphrodite. The only thing I see is an error message titled "Windows script host."loooollllll. nice one |
the billing address you use must be the same as that of the card you are using from the screenshot you have posted, are you sure that address is the same as the one registered with your card? |
Princejaponais: The menu says 1 complete blackberry monthly that will last for three months. What if you end the data allocated before the 3rd month kicks off? I think that is still not heavy user friendly.once you run out of data, just subscribe again |
Chitexs250: Any updates yet as regards to the Airtel BIS unlimited downloadnot sure airtel has plans of giving unlimited data |
emma ugoh: Yes,u guys make sense here, pls I was browsing to know which data plan will make sense than the Airtel BSM,cos am using it in my laptop and the hec is not lasting up to two week,so guys which do you recommend, should I trust airtel and hit the 3 in 2 stuff, you know all this network in ninja you can trust them all the time......what i do is just to renew the subscription once i run out of my 1GB data allowance. if you do the math, 1,200 * 2 subscriptions in a month comes to 2,400 for 2Gb of data. it is still cheaper than paying 3,500 for 1.5Gb of data or paying 8,000 for 6Gb of data offered by other service provider |
See your answers in bold Goodboy2012: kudos 2 u man... |
Dextra: I want to know. Does Samsung s3 have china? as in fake. I just got one and it;s network locked.YES, there's a Chinese device that looks exactly like the S3 from a distance but it doesn't have Samsung written on it |
