nobody said the Z10 was not a very good device. just temper your expectations.

if we follow the same line of reasoning, Blackberry (RIP RIMM) has done more than Apple did moving from iPhone 4S to 5...Z10 is thinner, 0.7" bigger screen than the BB torches and resolution never heard of in BB world. improved the camera, more than doubled the memory on the 9900, major upgrades to the CPU and GPU than on any BB ever and of course there's LTE...the OS is way better than any BB owner ever imagined they would see on a BB


don't you think they have really done a good job and deserve some applause for even making the effort. BlackBerry has been clear on getting into hardware specs war! they clearly stated they would not. A review of the hardware in the Z10 has shown they used the very best hardware you can find in any flagship phone with the exception of Apple's custom CPU

i think the Q10 will have a few specs that are different from the Z10 but more importantly, it will have a physical Keyboard like the 9900 etc. you can buy either but if you are an existing user who prefers physical keyboard, then you can wait for the Q10

However, I consider it a big failure if it was meant to have bragging rights over the Iphone 4s/5, Galaxy S III or the HTC One X.

the BB Porsche is a luxury item. from the day it was released, it was stated clearly that its the luxury version of the BB9900 and your comment about 'your opinion being based on consumer appreciation when compared to the Bold 9900' is dubious... anybody who has used or even read anything tangible about the 9900 and Porsche would know how they relate to each other

yes you can put a sim card in it and receive calls on that number but you'll look like an idi0t if you put a 10" tablet to your ear when a call comes in.

I hope you didn't buy a stolen or second hand tablet. if you bought it new, pls read the manual and understand how to use the basic functions on it first.

Funny side is that Slot said software failure is not covered by their guarantee.

I will advise people stay away from this phone.

seriously dude, software fail (is there even anything like that?) cannot be SLOT's responsibility. at best they will help you re-install the OS if it had become corrupt for whatever reason but i don't think its a good enough reason for you to accuse SLOT of anything

Software running on any electronic device can develop a problem. the most common reason is the end user and a universal solution is just to re-install the problematic software. most times,it doesn't even require any serious expertise

try and do an OS update. that should fix it or better still, look out for apps that stop working by themselves and uninstall those

my penultimate JB update caused some battery life drama on my GS3 until i realized that OS version was not compatible with the existing versions of some of my apps. immediately i started knocking off those apps, things started improving

airtel BB plan does not require any manual configuration!!!! why do you people always want to get settings for everything sef?

this topic has be discussed to death all over this forum. Airtel BB plan is plug and play. the only configuration you need is to subscribe to the BB plan

dont know why you're having this type of problem but i have never had a problem downloading all types of file attachments from emails and viewing them on my BB. i have used BB storm, bold, torch, playbook and all have worked fine with email


maybe there's something you're doing wrong or there's a setup you have tinkered with that's preventing you from using this feature. a solution might be for you to 'factory reset' aka wipe your BB and start all over again

that's not true. this is not a new feature for the blackberry ecosystem. actually the blackberry ecosystem is one of the first to get this feature when the playbook was released in 2011

do a search in this phone section and you'll see all the tutorials, walk throughs etc you need.

how did you conclude the Porsche failed? what are your data sources?

@OP,

technically, you can install the OS but you would barely be able to start the phone not to talk of using it. the reason most of the existing BBs wont get the update is because their hardware cannot run the OS properly. the fastest BB processor is currently single core 1.2GHz and the RAM on the 9900 is less than 800MB which is the most on any BB.



only the Playbook (dual core 1GHz A9 Cortex processor with up to 64GB RAM) can run the OS with no problem

you can take the note 2 if size is not an issue but if you want the best smartphone all round, the GS3 is still the King
