Politics / Re: Everyone Agrees That Buhari Was The Most Nepotistic, But Check Out Jonathan's: by walex2(m): 10:35am On Sep 19, 2023
LordGuru1:
My brother, you are looking at things from mere peripheral surface. The Subsidy being paid to maintain the prices were being Borrowed and even indirectly leached by neighboring Countries was reason why Nigerian Debt kept rising to Trillions of Dollars at alarming Rates Yearly till Tinubu came and changed the Chatasrophic Direction that Nigeria was being speedily steered towards. They kept Nigerians living in Fools' False Paradise as they privately packed so much of the borrowed Monies while heaping Debt upon Debt for innocent unborn Generation that Chinese would have come to Completely enlaved right here on their FatherLand(Go and watch Malema video on Chinese Plan for Africa, you will Cry for those still massively Borrowing). Under Buhari, it even got to the pathetic Level of Borrowing to Service the ever Accumulating Debt Burdens. Tinubu saw the non-sustanability of such Future and he Manned-up to do the needful, so that eventually our Refineries would Work and Prices would eventually drop so that we can genuinely Enjoy with Peace of mind, not unwittingly and myopically selling the Future of our Children to huge Foreign Debt as done before just because we wanted to continue buying things cheaply. If you understand Econometrics, things would still become cheaper with the method that Tinubu is using on the Economy currently, and Nigeria would truly become the Real Giant of Africa.
there is oil on your head, under Jonathan crude was about 120 to 140 Dollars per barrel yet not they still borrow to pay salary and you are here telling me the price of pure water in the last 19 yrs. God bless you for your analysis. The best decision made by Tinubu so far was removing subsidy. This will encourage savings and the money will be used for other things. Imagine Buhari servicing loan with 95% of our annual budget and some people will still be comparing that failure with Tinubu

Politics / Re: Tribalism: Why Buhari Is Smarter Than Tinubu by walex2(m): 4:04pm On Sep 18, 2023
SSFeedsNigeria:
Tinubu is entrenching a dangerous dimension to our politics in Nigeria. He has elevated tribalism to brazen heights. When I see Yorubas defending him passionately I just shake my head. Let's even agree that Buhari was equally nepotistic, but since when did two wrongs start making right?

These people complained under Goodluck Jonathan time and accused him wrongly of being against them. The fact remains that Jonathan had as much Yorubas as Igbos in his government, but these people were never satisfied. They kept blackmailing Jonathan. Today, they're so excited that Tinubu is fixing only Yorubas in strategic positions in Nigeria. Is that not the height of hypocrisy and selfishness?

Even Buhari was not this stupid in his nepotism. Dude carried Northerners along in his nepotism. He didn't make use of only Fulanis but involved most other Northerners. But look at Tinubu, he is busy favoring only Yorubas. He has turned his government into Oduduwa affair. If this man is smart, he would have carried other Southerners along just like Buhari carried other Northerners. This is why Northerners are always smarter in politics than Southerners. When they finally come for this bigot in power, he will have only yorubas to fight for him. We will see if they will be enough to defend him or they will suddenly remember other Southerners? Unfortunately for them, we Southerners will either remain indifferent or even team up with Northerners.

Wisdom is profitable to direct!

So, the CJN should not constitute a panel to hear the appeal filed by Atiku and Peter Obi or what? Will Atiku and Peter Obi wait till the US court rule on the matter before filing their appeal? Will the CJN constitute a panel when there is no appeal? Can any of the parties even introduce new evidence at this stage? Why are these losers so senseless like this?

Hopefully, Nairaland moderators will be smart enough not to move this fake news and unwarranted attack on the CJN to front page. Jackson Ude is a liar, fake news merchant and a wanted man in Nigeria. Dude lies for a living. This is another fake news from him.
I have read all the comments before you, you are the one with senses all those who are just writing nonsense are illiterates, the time to file appeal will lapse on Wednesday and supreme court must constitute the panel latest by Tuesday. The zombies just as you said don't even know the appellant can't bring any new evidence to court. So supreme court will wait to U.S ruling on whether CSU will make available Tinubu certificate or records to Atiku. The same CSU who have declared that the president indeed graduated from their school.

Politics / Re: The 25% Of Votes In The FCT Common Sense Saga by walex2(m): 3:28pm On Sep 07, 2023

The people of the FCT don't have the opportunity to vote for who they want to be their FCT minister, which is like a governor of a state, the only opportunity they have is to have a say on who should be the president of Nigeria, by giving that person a minimum of 25% of votes.
One important questions to ask is:
If the INEC chairman think that the people of the FCT votes is not important at all in the presidential election, then why did he allowed them to come out to vote in the day of the presidential election?
If the reason why the people in the FCT votes is for the mandatory 25% in the FCT, then why was that part of the Constitution not implemented?
By just looking at the PEPC judgement, one will wonder of what use or contribution was the votes from the FCT in the 2023 presidential election
Once a court is compromise, they will look for loop holes to apply technicalities in favour of the ruling party. Had it been Peter obi was announced by INEC to have the highest votes but failed to get 25% of votes in the FCT, the PEPC will have used that against him, I am not surprised on how they controversial rule that a hard drugs case is a civilian case
you don't know how to read or comprehend, people in Abuja are not more superior to other Nigerians, Abuja votes are not wasted votes but you don't need to score 25 percent in Abuja to be declared president. ABUJA is also like Anambra, no special status, Tinubu didn't even score 10 percent in Anambra yet he appoint a minister from Anambra just thesame way he did in FCT. So anyone that scores more than 25 percent in ABUJA will add it to other States he or she scored 25 percent to determine whether he has 2/3 of all the 37 States. As simple as that

The last hope of Obi becoming president hangs on this PEPT and the SC. If he fails at the courts, that is the end. The aggressive Obidients, who harassed everyone who doesn't subscribe to the Messianic painting they gave to Obi, have put nail on the coffin of Obi's future presidential prospects. They attacked Wole Soyinka, Yorubas, Northerners, Charles Soludo, Buhari, Chicago State University, even the Governor of Illinois. Now, it's Mary Odilli. Haba! Politics / Re: By The Time Northerners Realize Their Mistake, It Will Be Too Late! by walex2(m): 12:06pm On Sep 05, 2023
MrEverest:
When the story of how Nigeria's eventual collapse is told, Buhari will receive half the blame while Northern leaders will receive the other half.

The current crop of Northern leaders beginning from Buhari to El Rufai, Kwankwaso and the rest are the weakest and dumbest ever in history. Buhari never wanted Tinubu to succeed him yet he was so dull that Tinubu completely outsmarted him. Then he played along out of shame. Even El Rufai was so gullible to the extent Tinubu used him and dumped him unceremoniously. Today, he is on exile disguised as study leave!

Kwankwaso could not even control a small party like NNPP. Same party he was moving from state to state opening their offices, but today, he has been chased out. Ganduje was so subdued and kept in uncertain condition about his fate until they eventually gave him chairmanship of APC and he has remained so grateful and loyal cheesy. These men I mentioned are the most influential politicians in the North, yet they've all been neutralized!

Even Obasanjo, a former military general couldn't make a Southerner FCT minister but Tinubu did it without thinking twice. Not only that, he used someone who is "crazy". Obasanjo has seen it all and understands that every part of Nigeria should be given a sense of belonging. He refused to oppress North, refused to oppress Igbos, and neither did he oppress Yorubas or others but his people hated him. Their anger was that he didn't do tribalism and hate Igbos and neither did he try to subdue North. Today, Tinubu is doing all that and they love him!!!

Tinubu has come to elevate just himself, family and tribe at the expense of other Nigerians. The most worrisome part of it is that, he is not even hiding it. Check his appointments, he removed the CBN governor and replaced with his kinsman. He removed Customs comptroller general and replaced with a Yoruba man. He has done is doing so in other strategic sectors of the economy.

This man wants his people to see him as the new Awolowo. The man that eventually elevated them to be in command and control of Nigeria. Sadly, he is already achieving his ambitions with so much ease. Some Northern leaders are gradually realizing their mistake but they're too bamboozled and confused to put up any resistance.

Once Tinubu scales through PEPT, he is going to rule for 8 years but by the time he is done, the North will be reduced to nothing.
I also marvel at gullibility of some of you, so the North is the king of Nigeria because Nigeria belongs to them and they must be in control, let me tell you take away the North Central and merge it with the south the core north will become a second fiddle in Nigeria game. To Start with there is no Buhari without Tinubu, Tinubu made Buhari president, he contested 3 times with northern votes yet no way until Tinubu brought him to Aso Rock. So in your thinking the FCT minister is exclusively reserved for the North but NNPC GMD, NIMASA, CUSTOMS and other bigger parastatals could be controlled by the northerners. Let me also remind you that the current FIRS chairman tenure will come to an end by the 6th of December this year and Tinubu has penned down another Yoruba man to take charge. If Buhari could appoint incompetent Fulani men to ruined our economy , Tinubu should do us a favor by appointing competent Yoruba men to revamp the economy.

some of them don't understand STATISTICS that is the reason I considered arguing with them as a waste of time. You said Obi won the election but he only won in south South and south East. You said Tinubu didn't win the election but he won in 3 zones out of 6 namely South West, North Central and north west. Many people don't even know that Atiku that came second won only one zone (north East) people don't know that the margin of winning between Tinubu and obi in Kano alone. About 770,000 margin cover the entire South East margin of lead between obi and Tinubu. They don't know presidential election is only won by geographical spread and majority votes not by winning FCT

mrmayoh:
The 2023 presidential election has come and gone, and Peter Obi is in court to challenge the outcome of the election. However, he failed to prove that he won the election in his petition to the tribunal. The only figure-based evidence he could provide to the court is from Rivers and Benue, but that cannot make him a president.

Obi claimed that in Rivers State, he scored 205,110 votes, while Mr. Tinubu scored 84,108 in Rivers State against INEC-declared results of 231,591 (APC) and his own as 175,071.

In Benue State, Obi claimed he scored 329,003 votes, while Tinubu 300,421 votes against the declared results of 310,468 for Tinubu and 308,372.

If Peter Obi could tell the world that Tinubu received 300,421 votes in Benue state, why do you think Nigerians did not vote for Tinubu?

The 20 states listed below clearly show that Obi does not have the national spread to win the presidential election. He failed to score at least 50,000 votes in 14 states.

As an Obidient, would you still vote for Peter Obi if a rerun is conducted today, or would you switch to vote for Atiku because he has a better chance of winning?

1. Zamfara 1,660 votes (0.%)
2. Jigawa 1,889 votes(0%)
3. Yobe 2,406 votes(0%)
4. Katsina 6,376 votes (0.%)

18. Adamawa 105, 648 votes (14%)
19. Akwa Ibom 132,683 votes (23%)

Politics / Re: Lagos State Government And The Evil Tribal War. by walex2(m): 2:32pm On Aug 25, 2023
ezechi242:
And the Lagos State Government Demolished Chido's Dream

Chido relocated to Lagos from Onitsha two decades ago.

His dad was a lace fabric mogul in Onitsha, and he wanted to replicate the same success in Lagos, the city famous for its cultural melting point and its diversity.

He came here with the little capital he could afford at the time and then pitched his tent at Idumota Market in Lagos Island, where fabrics of all kinds are sold.

Brick by brick, mortal by mortal, he was able to grow as the God of wealth favored him.

He got married here as well, and all his kids were born in Lagos.

He just built his first house in the same estate where I live in Lagos and moved into the property three years ago.

A remarkable accomplishment for a man who came here with virtually nothing but his dream

Business was moving fine, and one day he had this wave length, a master stroke that he believed would change the fortunes of his business.

Why not build a plaza that will serve as an additional revenue stream for his business?

An agent introduced him to a family from Lagos State willing to lease their land for such a venture on Lagos Island.

A sum of 30 million naira was agreed upon between Chido and the family that owns the land, and a lease of 15 years was also agreed upon with an option to renew.

With the agreement in place, the necessary approvals and permissions from the Lagos State Government were sought and given.

Work commenced on site sometime last year. The idea was to build a 90-stores plaza, a befitting modern plaza that could rival Tayo Amusan's plazas.

Work was completed on site last month; traders have paid for all the shops, and the property was penciled down to be commissioned this Saturday, and that is when the drama started.

Unknown to Chido and his wife, Amaka Okoli-Chidozie, LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) has been sending notices of outstanding payments to them to pay up.

Even though they paid all the necessary dues before they began their buildings, they did not know that another payment was waiting for them to clear.

They only knew about the payment last week on Monday, and on Tuesday, the sum of 4.5 million naira was paid by Chido.

The money was payd through bank transfer and a receipt was instantly issued to him.

But more drama is on the way for the 42-year-old businessman.

It was on a Saturday night when his phone rang, and he picked it up. The caller on the line was calling to inform him whether he was aware that LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) was coming to demolish his new plaza.

He rushed to the site only to meet bulldozers, armed police, and men of LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) pulling down his hard work.

A project that cost him over 200 million naira to erect.

For proper context; there was no notice by this agency that they were coming to demolish.

It was more or less an ambush.

When he tried to call the GM of the agency, the man was not picking up his calls.

In that state of confusion, he was dialing the number of anyone he believed could help him, but help was not forthcoming; rather, he was told that the governor gave approval for his building to be demolished.

It was a sad Chido who went to meet the GM of the agency that demolished his plaza the next day, Monday, to understand what his offense was.

He was told that the building was demolished because he did not pay the necessary building regulatory fees.

I paid, and I have my receipts to show what he told the man.

Seeing that Chido had his receipt of payment, the Oga quizzed Chido to understand who cleared and accepted his payment.

He mentioned one Mr. Tunde.

But Tunde was with us the day we deliberated on how to demolish your building, the GM said.

He didn't even bring up the subject of your payment.

He was even with our men when the building was brought down.

How come?

What kind of man is this? The GM wondered.

So a call was placed by the GM to Mr. Tunde to understand why he kept him in the dark when Chido had paid his fee.

Tunde on the other line started stammering.

You know

I'm sorry, sir( Ana ede ebe Nile).

The deed has been done and cannot be reversed.

Chido's 200 million naira dream has been demolished by the Lagos State government.

I spoke to multiple traders in Lagos Island before writing this to understand what Chido’s crime was; the general consensus is that Chido's only crime appears to be that he is an Igbo man who chose to invest in Lagos.

Unfortunately, there won't be any consequences for those who intentionally choose to demolish a commercial building, even if the owner did nothing wrong.

For the Tunde of this world, life moves on.

The evil they are happy about will one day make them the saddest.
they don't bring down a building of outstanding payment rather it will be on defects in building or no building permits
