Brand_new: It's "Daddy freeze" who usually hosts the morning shows. A dumb guy called DOTUN is usually rude to callers too, he even disses female co presenters and sh*t like that. Cool f.m management should look into that B.S. Those dudes are doing more harm than good to their listeners.
Between Dotun and Freeze, I will say freeze is quite rude.I really wish he grow up.and learn, I used to be his fan, but am really dropping off, bit.for Dotun rocks
Music/RadioRe: Tongue-lashing On Radio Talk Show by Walphem(m): 6:09pm On Mar 06, 2013
lakesdie: ON cool FM i don't know the name of the presenter but the guy was so rude on air, they were having this children talk show, with two children on the show,(a boy and a girl) and the idea was for people to call in and give them words to spell. The boy was overconfident cause he was getting all the spellings right. This particular guy called and asked the boy to spell MNEMONIC,he spelt PNEUMONIC and the caller said he was wrong. At this point, the presenter not knowing such a word existed challenged the guy and asked him the meaning of the word. The guy tried to explain to him, he didn't give him a chance to explain, only for him to start laughing at the guy, the caller then told him to check the meaning of the word in the dictionary and hung up. The presenter took it personal and started making such remarks as "he probably graduated with a third class", "he has a mere OND" and several other derogatory statements.

A lady had to call in again to caution him but he refused to accept he was wrong and cut her off too.
Whatever happened to the days when presenters were cultured and respectful? Now all we get are presenters that are so full of themselves, they feel every other person is a walkover.
That was Kahlah, The voice and some kids, I was so disappointed that they didn't even know the meaning of the world, I exempt the kids but not the journalist, to make matter worse freeze that wasn't in the studio when it happened just came tongue lashing in his usual childish way-people complains that he behaves like a kid most times, but I always disagree, but on this he was very ridiculous.
they need to go study more and stop insulting people with 'gbaganun'.Mtwchew
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan To Visit Maiduguri On Thursday? by Walphem(m): 12:05pm On Mar 02, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: If truely the president is to visit Maiduguri next Thursday, it must have been planned long time ago, not today.

The APC governors may have preempted the president because the Borno governor will have privy information of the president's planned visit.

But the vice president was there recently. I cant even recall how many states the president has visited since after the elections, mayb very few. But I agree that of Borno is a special case and the president needed to have been there to show solidarity but who knows if his security people advised against a visit prior to this time.
I read your post before checking who wrote it, but immediately I noticed the direction u were going I realise its one of the 40laptops. PREEMPT Indeed Eku Ise o, work hard for your money

PoliticsRe: The Pot Holes Of Ikeja-ipaja-sango Express Road by Walphem(m): 8:06am On Feb 20, 2013
dozymars: THE WORSE ROAD IN LAGOS
THE MOST NEGLECTED ROAD IN LAGOS
THE FLOOD ON THESE PART OF THE ROAD DOES NOT DRY
NO EXISTENCE OF DRAINAGE
OUR BASIC RIGHT HAVE BEEN DENIED
THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND GOVERNOR OF LAGOS STATE HAVE NEGLECTED US.
SO MANY CARS HAVE BROKEN DOWN HERE.
A BROKEN DOWN BRT BUS HAVE LONG BEEN ABANDONED ON THIS ROAD.

LOCATION: AGO PALACE WAY, OKOTA, LAGOS.

PLEASE WE NEED AN URGENT ATTENTION.

SO MANY BUSINESSES HAVE CLOSED BECAUSE OF THESE.

GOVERNOR FASHOLA PLEASE COME AND RESCUE US FROM THIS SHAME.

THIS IS VERY SHAMEUL
That's another terrible road in Lagos, the flood never gets dried no matter the sunshine and lack of rain, until drainage is constructed, that road doesn't have a solution

PoliticsRe: APC: Tambuwal For President? by Walphem(m): 8:25pm On Feb 17, 2013
Gbawe: Forget it. The most intelligent politicians, like Tinubu, fully understand the aspect of politics that is about perception and image . It would be mentally damaging for the APC , after many sagacious characters have put sterling efforts into the merger from day one, to then go and court a serving PDP Politician as Presidential candidate. That won't happen because it defies logic and goes against what needs to be done to achieve a defeat of the PDP.

Even a child knows it is a self-destructive and losing strategy let alone the ultra-intelligent analysts who will realise the APC stand no chance if it cannot establish an independent identity using its own sagacious, most influential and best known characters. No ex-PDP member will get President or VP slot in the APC.
you got it spot-on, I had to stop following the thread after reading your post.

PoliticsRe: Lagos To Introduce Cable Cars For Mass Transportation. by Walphem(m): 2:24pm On Feb 03, 2013
naptu2: Routes I would recommend (from experience).

1) Ikoyi-Obalende

2) Victoria Island (Ozumba Mbadiwe-Ahmadu Bello, Bar Beach-Bonny Camp and Sand-fill-Bonny Camp).

3) Jibowu-Adeniji

4) Iddo-Adeniji

5) Maryland-Ikeja

6) Apapa-Ijora

These are routes that should also have bicycle lanes.
you forgot to add Ikeja- along to dopemu
that's one he'll of a place with incessant traffic

SportsRe: When Did You Stop Watching Super-Eagles Matches? by Walphem(m): 2:28am On Jan 24, 2013
kayLion: Hi all, sequel to this thread www.nairaland.com/1170471/not-being-able-watch-nigerias .

I was reading comments and laughing because as for me i have stopped watching Nigerian matches for a while now...Growing up, i had no choice than to accept Super Eagles cos popsy holds them high, also from a family dominated by boys, its football or nothing, i remember celebrating wildly JJ Okocha's equalizing freekick against Cameroun at 2004 Nations Cup, but fast forward 4years, Eguaveon led the Super Eagles to the nations cup, we lost at Quarter final (or was it Semi final) to Ivory coast, a debatable goal by Didier Drogba.

Eagles got home and what happened to Eguaveon?, he was promptly sacked..I for one find it ridiculous and since then, i have decided to ignore eagles and laugh at their failure...would love to know your views pls
guy u and I dey d same shoe o, I stopped since 2004!

ba7man: I still can't see what fashola is doin in Lagos, the pictures are likely photoshoped. SMH for ACN propaganda. He should pay a visit to Delta state and see the great works the Governor is doin there.
I laugh in Spanish, how and why will you conclude that the project is Photoshop? I have my personal collections of pictures around the project.I move thru the axis almost daily and what I say is God should give him the grace to complete this enormous project.

PoliticsRe: Presidency Bans Ministers From Phone Calls During Meetings With GEJ by Walphem(m): 7:13pm On Nov 14, 2012
olanmuis: Shows the level of disrespect our President is getting! (sighing)

How did we as a nation, degenerate this bad? Presidents should have the aura and posture that commands a near reference composure, I should think! A disrespect to a nations leadership directly or indirectly, is a slap on that nation? It is strange that, it is at this point that decorum is now being declared? Bet it, if I am president, I will not issue this circular, I would just use a few as escape goat. I will through SSS get the details of their conversation and any that is a deviation from "official clarification" of issues required during such meetings will be sanctioned heavily. Just one instance is enough to put non-conformer in order!

A leader needs guts and assertiveness in our part of the world.

PoliticsRe: Ideas For Solving Traffic Congestion In Lagos by Walphem(m): 5:39pm On Nov 14, 2012
let me use this to proffer a solution to the traffic congestIon regularlly seen on Lagos-Abeokuta express-way iyana-ipaja/dopemu axis goes as follows:
the road divider around iyana Busstop should be opened up and a traffic light erected there. This will enable cars to freely go through Go-ye/AlImosho road(the road can be made a 'oneway' road at specIfIc tIme of the day), which can easily be linked into Ipaja, Gown Estate, Egbeda-Ikotun.
Am sure this will help to reduce the congestion by Atleast 40%Since most of the people plying the road have no reason go through iyana-Ipaja Bridge or Dopemu bridge.
I definitely hope to pass this to the appropriate authority,
anyone living around this area can pls comment

I hate seen the drains not properly kept, the toilets must be very clean with good scent coming from there. But the biggest of all is seeing clothes littering the room.
