Edipet:It is obviously not a glitch. I had a similar experience on a boy I championed a scholarship scheme for. The boy edited the school documents so similar. I had to use deeper forensic hindsight to verify. Note this was a scholarship oh for a church boy. Some of is knows what's going on |
It's so painful how we are breaking further as humans. This girl had a local champion coached that must have done something similar for a few people before now, may not be exact but similar and he has succeeded quite a number of time, the coach is the one pushing the girl with all confidence, to keep his ego straight. Yet everyone that needed to see this with a neutral lens, went ahead to turn this to tribal issue. I feel so bad seeing how this simple issue of ego of some people dragged almost a tribe into full support. Our healing must be intentional, and we must remember no one is an island we all need each other. |
Chai. See as Old age done come...na wa..and person still feel like "boys"...Lol |
Funny read, our system is terribly flawed. I wonder how it can be corrected. Sad how our discussion or things that matters in the country are just basic, talking about settling boys, buying rice and ram. When are we going to start high level discussion. As in discussion that will really elevate the country and its citizens from the current position. Sigh |
LegendHero:This is the only logical explanation that can be shared otherwise, Ogun is a disaster in waiting if the state can't maximise its potentials and rightly invest it back into the state |
LegendHero:I was digesting and analysing the report wondering where is Ogun State, querying why are they not so conspicuous, then I scrolled down and the first comment was yours. Ogun is really underperforming with the level.of industries within the state. Atleast if they are low on other indices and metric they should be up in IGR growth year on year. With this we can.assume they are having a systematic growth that will take strategic period but with the state being lost in almost all metrics it calls for a major dialogue...sadly so |
Odogu9195:I wish I can see you to give a big hug, The fundamental factor to growth in any family, community, environment nation etc is Love. When we care about one another even the "dumbest" family/Nation gets developed. If Nigerians care about the fellow citizens, Leaders will make decisions that affects the society positively, while the followers will look after one another e.g Proper waste disposal, etc. We live in a Jungle where we believe we can outsmart one another and it boomerang with the explosion we are having presently |
Are there no standard maintenance plan? Are they meant to come up with a ridiculous excuse before they can renovate? Oh I guess they also want to siphon money so they need to "lie" |
So far, I can recommend Lagoon Hospital, Apapa. As at 2017. They had the equipment that can handle quite early premie. Though they can be quite booked. But still try to contact them Lagoon NICU 016310953. Though I must confess it’s not so cheap. |
Nigeria's situation is similar to many other countries, ours may be prominent in the areas of poor maintenance, I can bet you this thing didnt start overnight..it must have taken a small event to cause the "tip" if we dig deep it may be during the civil war of even before then...until we start loving ourseselves and see each and everyone as "brothers and sisters" we can't change our maintenance culture. At present the our culture is based on avarice and selfishness. We need to change our curriculum; it must appreciate love, our religion must preach love, our system must embrace love. Until then no matter what you do in your corner the next selfish man will destroy it. |
I don't know why he is staying silent. He was the first person that rejected Ambode, but since then he has gone silent over the issue. quote author=Wiseandtrue post=71662462]Most of these people shouting Tinubu upandan really did not know much about his regime ![]() What blueprint are they talking about ![]() I have said it before and I will say it again! Fashola was a model for whosoever believe and still believe that there can be good governance! Fashola came prepared! He came with his own blue print! He had a vision of a workable Lagos State and that he demonstrated through out his 8years of service! Fashola took over Lagos from Tinubu when it was still in crises Talk about dirt! Touts, theft, under development, dis-organisation, politics of waiting till elections before any tangible thing could be done! He broke those barriers! He turned the crises to hope! Fashola made me stand in a queue to get a PVC, I said to myself here is someone worth my staying in the sun to vote for! Fashola made ALL government workers to sit up! With Fashola, going to court, you will be happy with the result cause you know he will not manipulate the outcome! He would even look for a possible solution to avoid injustice! May God bless Fashola and other public servants who has and is doing their work dutifully! So if anybody should speak in Lagos today, it should be Fashola not Tinubu! But if it is about thuggery, and bribery then leave it for Tinubu Tinubu cannot change history no matter how hard he tries!!!
|
You mean induction and not introduction |
On that car and curses part i thought i was the only one on it seriously I keep asking people is it that we are blind? Or people just love to be sentimental? Go through.Ikeja everywhere is unkempt. Forget trash check all.the grasses, they are over grown. Is it that this guy has taken all the money for all agencies Like Laspark, lawma, Efag,Lswpc, Lamata etc. These agencies were so strong due Fashola's time...but not anymore quote author=nokatakata post=71558684] Don't mind the bush pigs and animals who live in the village but think ambode is performing. Crazy set of humans. One minute ambode hates them and wants to destroy their business, next minute ambode is the best governor. You cannot have a car and be driving through lagos roads and open your dirty mouth to say ambode is trying. Every time i drive through most roads in lagos, i curse ambode with all my heart and the curse will affect him by the grace of God. It is already affecting him
|
Hmmmm...I remember this topic, we complained then and shouted, but people didn't listen!! Deomelo. Kindly read this and show your haters on the Fashola topic |
Bro Please let them know that a few people like us has been clamouring about this is Eon. I dont care who is Tinubu actually I will prefer a "stooge" of Fashola to win(Dr Hamzat) than both sanwoolu and Ambode. I reiterate, where is Lagos State Public works, where is EFAG (those guys that clear drain), where is Lawma (we all know the answer to this), where are the structures in Education and Health that Fashola built...all is zero!!!. This situation between Ambode and Tinubu is just making the voice of people like us well amplified and not that we haven t been consistent. Cheers quote author=deomelo post=71206235] www.nairaland.com/attachments/7764783_z_png58443b8d8ac6fdaac3b4a8dc19644848 Ignorant ipob, the above quote was me a year ago saying the same thing I'm saying today. I'm very consistent. Worry about your worthless and unproductive villages for a change.
|
That is what Ambode has reduced them to, when was the last time any sited Lagos State Public works? They have gone to oblivion, it's now the function of anyone to do palliative that can'tlast more than a downpour on the road. This stuff is killing the economy, couple with the "dirtier Lagos" initiative, waste blocking all channels. And he keep Shouting Itesiwaju....rubbish |
I searched to see maintenance of previous infrastructure, waste management, healthcare facilities etc. Can he please spread his wings |
darfay:Abi o, and to imagine Ambode has abandoned those structure and allowing it to rot. These ones can last for 6months absolutely |
A few of us have been clamouring on how terrible Ambode is running Lagos, but the majority that likes cosmetic project are hailing him. I wonder why continuity can't be observed in our government; either pdp or apc...government is continuum, but guess not for ambode, he has abandoned every project commisioned by past administration, Lagos state public works cant be seen again, this has made all inner roads terrible and every one vying to ply only expressroad, unfortunately almost all are under construction at the same time..is that not insanity. Check out the grasses on major road e.g Mobolaji Bank Anthony, they are overgrown and begging for attention, this is the capital of Lagos not getting attention and we expect him to do at other places. Similarly all previous bus stop sheds are now a big eye sore, from Obalende to Iyana Ipaja, to Akowonjo etc.. Waste management can't even be discussed here, even a blind man can smell the stench in Lagos. Health facilities depreciating at a great speed. I won't want to sound as an antagonist, he must be commended for trying to "upgrade" infrastructure, but an upgrade that can't be maintained by you or other administration doesnt need us wasting tax payers money on. A great Job on the Lasema end, but already sacred this may not last till 2019 December. Ambode needs to look deeply and tell himself the truth, he is a failure,(the myopic ones will disagree though), i doubt if anyone can usurp him in 2019...but he should try to restrategise immediately |
I am a first hand beneficiary of the bolded part, but that won't blind me to the fact that he isn't performing at expected rate, he is wasteful. Because i am.getting crumbs won't stop me from from asking for my whole meal. Look at waste management..there is no end in sight to all the rubbish. Look at his major strength road construction, how many road cam he reconstruct? At least allow lspwc to still be functional, trust fund was initiated by past administration. Yes he has done 3 years...wait till 8 years, when he might have wasted funds on white elephant projects and tax us death? You must have a very sick, twisted, and upside-down definition of the word failure for you to ascribe such to Ambode. ![]() That you fail to see or appreciate his efforts and strides in the state is your problem and not mine. For starters, your comparison of both individuals is grossly misplaced becase Fashola spent two terms while Ambode is yet to even complete his first. Google is your friend: Ambode commissions 77 blocks of classrooms in Alimosho, Mushin, Epe, Others https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/11/ambode-commissions-77-blocks-classrooms-alimosho-mushin-epe-others/ Ambode commissions Block of classrooms at Agboyi-Ketu http://thenationonlineng.net/ambode-commissions-block-of-classrooms-at-agboyi-ketu/ Ambode commissions new classroom block in Ikorodu https://lagosstate.gov.ng/blog/2018/01/10/ambode-commissions-new-20-classroom-block-in-ikorodu/ Lagos offers free medical services https://guardian.ng/features/lagos-offers-free-medical-services/ Ambode commissions health facilities on Lagos Island https://lagosstate.gov.ng/blog/2017/05/11/ambode-commissions-healthcare-facilities-on-lagos-island/ Ambode commissions Lagos state DNA and Forensic centre https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/09/photos-ambode-commissions-lagos-state-dna-forensic-centre/ Lagos Commissions Primary Healthcare & Diagnostic Centre In Somolu https://topgov.org/projects/lagos/shomolu/primary-healthcare-diagnostic-centre-in-somolu/ Ambode okays reconstruction of Onikan stadium https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/09/ambode-okays-reconstruction-onikan-stadium/ It is like me saying that Fashola was a failure because he failed to complete neither the Blueline or Redline Light Rail that Tinubu initiated and handed to him throughout his eight year tenure as governor. Or me concluding that Fashola failed because he abandoned the main road that leads to my estate throughout his tenure, a road that my entire neighbourhood is currently grateful to Ambode for fixing for us. Why didn't Fashola make LASEMA/LRU/Emergency response team as efficient and equipped as Ambode has made it is today to the envy of other states? Does that amount to a failure on Fashola's part? Why didn't Fashola think of the innovative ways that Ambode has been able to drastically improve Lagos traffic? Does that make Fashola a failure? Should Fashola be considered a failure because he didnt think of building the flyovers Ambode built at Abule-Egba, Ajah, and Agege (ongoing)? Is Fashola a failure for not opening up Epe the way Ambode has? Ambode initiated LSETF that is giving as much as N5-million naira loan to Lagos-based SMEs to stimulate the state economy, Fashola didn't do such so does that make him a failure? Go and yarn your crap to the folks that stay in the communities around Lagos-Ogun bondary of Alimosho LG (by far the largest LG in Nigeria) who heaved a huge sigh of relief after Ambode recently commissioned 21 network of roads and two bridges totalling 27.4 kilometres there, an area Fashola was perceived to have neglected due to his alleged 'elitist' administrative posture. Fashola didn't do a whole lot of things that Ambode is currently doing and vice versa, that is the beauty of continuity because government is a continuum. Ambode cannot be a Fashola 'mini-me' who will do the exact same thing his predecessor did. Both administrations have different focus and are working in line with a projected developmental blueprint. The guy has not even completed his first tenure and has done very very well so far, your twisted opinion notwithstanding. When he finishes his second tenure you can then come back and count the scores.
|
I don't need to say anything again, you said it all!!! He is a master strategist in siphoning of funds, he is crippling other sectors and focusing on "road" construction. Funny part he want to reconstruct all "roads" what about palliative at some areas, instead of abandoning them and allow the road go deplorable before "reconstructing"...terrible i say quote author=Realdeals post=66802677]Ambode is a failure, Fashola achievements far outshines his own. For those quoting me, I will only give you the Ambode parable. His current achievements which you all are celebrating is likened to a science student who wrote 9 subjects for SSCE and scored A & B in Chemistry and physics but had E's in the remaining 7 subjects, abeg which University will admit such student. That exactly is the case with Ambode. Tell me any other outstanding achievement of Ambode aside gigantic road projects, which are used to siphon money. What are his major stride in the following * Health * Sports * Road maintenance * Education * Waste management * Water supply Even most of the roads constructions are under the supervision of his office and not the ministry of infrastructure. I don't need to remind anyone that Fashola performed excellently well in all these areas mentioned. Where are the LSPWC gangs that fixed bad roads? I rest my submission.
|
My mum trained 5 boys and anytime i look at what my son does now. It becomes scary how she coped.and we were all trained in a Godly way and everyone is quite successful. An envy of the community and all 5 children still dont have a girl yet...we still have boys as the grand children.the coincidence is quite funny |
Sabouteurs everywhere |

I like this, this is the best Social Marketing Strategy i have seen in a while, look at this scenario: Mercy's birthday is coming up and she wants her name to trend for long, A desperate designer met with her to get her towear her designer and publicise for her and this idea came up...boom....a relatively unknown person possibly Mercy's distance cousin from Benin with no social media status too want to trend...the trio sat down and made this up and YES PEOPLE BOUGHT IT HOOK LINE AND SINKER.....NA WA O |
Are all the stadium billed for football alone? Or he is planning to support other sports? |
Yeah heard some few days ago, wondering why the guy had to "steal" the tune..i am sure he paid for it anyways.i was wondering if there is any information online abiut it, googled it and this thread came up. I really want to know what inspired it or he felt people wouldn't know? |
I pray and hope this guys resources (human and equipments) will be well managed and replaced adequately..they have been doing great works at zero cost...tax payers cost ofcourse. Please guys keep the ball going and even challenge yourself for higher achievements |
How should i rate mine, in weeks past it has been horrible, as in max 4 hours a day with extremely low voltage, but in the last 5 days..mehn light has been steadily scary. 24hrs non stop and you wonder is the world coming to an end. I dont know if this will change from this moment o..but i wish it stays this way |
It is great to see Lagos state flying in so many arras; Kudos to Governor Ambode, so many "NEW" project across Lagos, nevertheless it baffles me when we cant just have Continuity. during the Era of Fashola, waste management and inner roads networks rehabilitation were not a major problem, but since the last one year or more, almost all the inner roads in Lagos had gone bad, aside the new ones constructed or underconstruction, waste management has gone down and you see refuses all around Lagos. A governement is meant to be holistic as much as possible, abandoning one for another isn't the solution. Cars are going bad every day due to terrible road networks around Lagos. Rain has subsided for more than 2 weeks now, if it was before immediately the rain drops you see lspwc filling potholes (by now they should have advanced from only waiting till after rain goes down) , now you don't even see them again...going back to stone age. Please someone should talk to Ambode on this |
The worst of it all is you cant even get to feel the opinions of people via print media, whereas on social you can. Though it still has many positives |
mejai:Wow, this must be costing them so much. I read Dangote's interview with bloomberg last week when he complained about things like this, including not having the right cranes within the port to load or offload. I pray his dream comes to fruition. He is such a goal getter |
