Not just from this video, but I noticed even from twitter, that most Nigerians abroad are rooting for Peter Obi, irrespective of their tribe and religion.

It's only here in Nigeria that tribal and religious sentiments becloud most average Nigerians reasoning.

Most of them haven't travelled abroad to see how a working system suppose to be, so they are comfortable with the hardship, so long as they can use it to taunt the Igbos about being marginalized.... Even if they themselves are suffering for it, they don't really care.

clearing 06 Camry then was 550k. Clearing 2000 to 2013 now is 960k. These amounts mentioned covers shipping charges and all other fees. These are the total clearing amount the importer pays the agent.

I saw a list shared to clearing agents. Total surface for 2000-13 camry is 792k, shipping charges is not inclusive, agents profit is not inclusive, I dont see how final clearing can be 960k sha, but if u insist I might just be using your contact ooo.

no. You are wrong about Camry. The difference is about 500k. So landing cost will not be 4m. Difference for corolla is about 400k. The problem is with Lexus and Mercedes. Those ones na die. I cleared an 08 ml350 in March for 600. That same 08 is about 2.6m now. Difference of 2m.

How much was the clearing for 06 camry then and now?
I am sure surface duty(total) for 2000-13 camry is almost 800k.
U pay shipping charges a d all the undocumented charges almost another 200k.
Give or take clearing agent will go home with 200k.
I am guessing before it was around 550k

It's the end of the road for the camry 02-06 and there likes, landing cost is close to 4m, plus sellers profit will take it a little above 4m.
I understand the NCS policy and it should be applauded but it's always a case of the cart before the horse when it comes to policy implementation in Nigeria.
I suppose local assembling plants and manufacturers should have been put in place and empowered to produce cars that will fill the void of 2m-4m cars no matter how basic the car is. This will drive the much needed industrialization.

If the vehicle was for sale and he had cleared it, na to begin type available, available like hubcruz till 2027.

Who will use 5m to buy a 2004 c240 when you can add 1m and buy a 2012 C300/350.

With current reality it will be very difficult to find a 2011/12 c300/350 for 6m.
Also right now I doubt if you will find any foreign used car below 4m.
Except the seller doesn't plan on replacing the car

Going forward, no one in their right senses will buy a 2007 vehicle. Just save up to get a 2013. They all cost the same to clear

Only option I had was to abandon the car at the port, will u call that a wise business decision?

Chairman, I don suffer for Mercedes hand in recent times.
My 06 e350 made a funny clinking sound one morning stopped abruptly on the road and never started again( after series of diagnosis was advised to change engine as it is not rebuild able)
Bought a c230 07 for re sale, run and drive good milage, no accident history) loss was recorded as " other" on the auction site.
Vehicle came in and wont start, it actually came in with no oil in it, put some oil and they it came on but wldnt run smooth and reported all cylinder misfire. Had to eventually change the engine after no solution.
Works fine now and no error code.
I don suffer my brother.
Ohh I forgot to say I cleared the car a 2.3m so now I am stuck with a 5m(cost of landing and repair) 07 c230

Thank you all, I finally had to replace the engine after so much trouble shooting and no solution.

Guess this w211 engine is problematic, from my research it is usually not rebuild able. Once it loses pressure that's it. This is the second one ghosting me in less than 1year.
from my mechs to part guys in ladipo, to my electrical guy everybody advised on trying to fix it as it was a journey into futility .
I even had another brain box programmed on it, still gave same error code.

Check your EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve, maybe it has been clogged, stuck closed or opened. Vacuum leaks also must be checked. Your throttle body must be checked for dirts and oil stains.

Thanks for your input, I will mention it to my mech.
If the EGR valve has a issue, shouldn't that be picked up by the scanner.
As at last scan only error code was for all cylinder misfire

It's a tokunbo car, just bought it in, so I wouldn't know if anything was done.
All cylinder misfire is the only code

Hello i have a 2007 c230 with the 211 engine , vehicle doesn't run smooth at idle. scanned it a it reported all cylinder misfire
changed all spark plugs, coil and serviced injectors and also change maf
same result.

my meco advised that at this point change of engine is the only option left.

has anybody had this problem and how did you solve it
