This policy will work only if the amount of naira in circulation is reduced.So we don't have too much naira chasing few dollars like we still have now if not the naira will certainly become the worst performing currency in the world.we can do this but at the same time encourage production and export then reduce the naira in circulation.

It all depends on location and you get more return on investment for stores compare to residential.Stores take less space,less finishing, and quite has high rents as residential.But I said it all depends on location.

For quick investments building a house for rent is a no go area only if you need it as a long term investment (retirement fund) or just to boost your finances if you have other businesses or you,re working.I once told someone I would rather build a building with rentable shops than a residential.The return on investment is much quicker and safer.

This is exactly the crush of the matter, the return is very low. It is meant for the people with idle funds, not for people who are hungry for more money or moderately high return.
Yes, it is saver compared to many other investments but not for majority of the people who are looking for investments. Acquiring more land is a far better decision than building for rents.

I invested 1.8m naira June 30th last year. By June 30th this year, I have made a return of 1.25m naira. Remain 550k to get my capital back. Risky? Yes. But that is the option for me because I'm still hungry. Can't wait for 20 years to recoup my capital just because I'm looking for relatively safe investment.

This is not the way out to stabilize the naira, the only solution is to go the way we did with fuel subsidy, no more special treatment, if you have a window the I and E window and a parallel market with two different rates in one economy, some privileged people who have access to the I and E window to buy Dollars will buy it at a lower rate and sell at the parallel market at an higher rates, also the world is no more in the 90s where market forces closes with banking hours, shut down the I and E windows, buy and sell the dollars at the going rates in the parallel market.. With that you have unified the exchange rates and allowed it to float freely, stop selling to the banks. If you have to sell to the banks sell at the aboki rates and buy at aboki rates.. The demand for dollars I can guarantee will go down 40% under just one week.. Thereby forcing the rate down...

It might be ok for short term but what happens when it's exhausted? It's a vicious circle.. Only way out is for CBN since they are the largest holder of the currency or the IOCs to buy and sell at the parallel market rates abolish the I and E window.. It's just a conduit for another round tripping.. That's what is causing the rise in dollars thereby triggering inflation.

You can't do away with round tripping as long as the demand for the dollar is high(it's a business).it's just like the filling stations selling fuel to black marketers while hoarding it to customers.So you either increase the supply or reduce the demand.

Banks are the culprit and I said it from begining nigerians will always find a way to make more money thereby destroying any good policy.You can't just start implementing what the book says (imf) in nigeria without putting in that nigerian factor.

Are they trying to subsidize the rich because the poor/middle-class have long dropped and sold their vehicles and this will definitely encourage smuggling again.Tinubu na scam I swear.
