How many politician with fake certificates have ended up in prison? how many people with fake certificates in both private and govt organization have ended up in prison in our society today alot of people carry fake certificates to make money, but that tell u the how decay the society is?

If this is done, the Naira should strengthen to between 650-700.

Well from what I,ve been reading I think the parents or close relative are in the know of that result.The girl may actually be innocent since she check the result 5 times to confirm.They actually did it so she could get the scholarship and didn't know it will go public.

How this became a tribal issue still beats my imagination. A crime is a crime, irrespective of the criminal's tribe or background or religion. This girl's guardians and handlers (teachers and principals) really messed things up here. This shouldn't have been allowed to drag this long. The girl didn't produce the document, but she knew quite well that the document she was parading was 100% fake. She checked her result 5 times, getting back same response of her score of 249 all 5 times. So why still go public with a score of 362, claiming the highest performer in the exam? They should have allowed the matter to die/rest after JAMB informed them that the result was fake. Instead, they decided to go public with it in their attempt to garner public sympathy. Now, the owner of the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre where she sat for her examination has come out to say both the template and the center on the fake slip raised reg flags. Are we still going to keep criticizing JAMB for trying to protect the integrity of the exam?

Over 90% of Nigerian graduates sat for JAMB. We were only interested in getting the right score that will guarantee us admission to our choice course and university. It really hurt to see how this has been tribalized. Crime is crime, period.

No one in their right senses should support this. We all want and yearn for a 'new Nigeria', yet we support criminality because the criminal is from our tribe, religion or background. The new generation we seem to look up to for the 'change' seems to be way worse than the old generation. Is this how we will achieve the change?

We all are quick to reference the West on how organized they enforce the law, but we seem to forget that their laws are enforced without fear or favoritism. If you commit a crime, your family and neighbors will be the first to report you to Law Enforcement, but reverse is the case in Naija. NAH WAH.

Sane citizens want subsidy to go it's a fact that is why nobody is protesting but it's just the way the govt has handled it.The current govt although not their fault should have ensure world bank palliatives in the form of transportation (providing mass transit and aiding farmers) are rolled out before anouncing the removal.

Are you arguing base on what you read?NNPCL claim they have not paid marketers for subsidy since 2016.They have been doing crude oil swap then how come f feral govt owes them 2.8 trillion naira.These are all scams, crude oil exchange for petrol is supposed to be shared within the three tiers of govt which was not happening later they come back and say govt owes them.If tinubu wants to fight corruption he better start from NNPCL.

The market then sells it at a price above the NNPC sale price, which is fixed by government

Government then pays NNPC to compensate it for the losses it sustains selling fuel to market below import cost/landing cost

We don't need to ask them what to do with subsidy removal, everyone agreed subsidy must go but how do you implement the removal that will not cause crisis.Have u read the bank of america article on the gains and pains of subsidy removal and floating of the currency on the nigerian masses.The gains won't start coming in until 2025 which we all know.By now Tinubu focus should be rolling out palliatives in form of transportation for both human and foodstuffs and also stop the intended VAT on diesel then you must subsidize something for the citizens to ease the burden of cost of living with could be electricity and making gas cheap to use.

Good advice but it won't change the value of the naira will only help our dependency on foreign exchange and allow us to produce what we consume.But I quite agree with you that if we were. Producing economy we would be bother about what our exchange rate is but you know the Nigeria mentality everything is one way or the other tied to our foreign exchange.

I repeat, the only way to make naira gain is to increase export than import. Less dependency is on the dollar, the naira gains and the only way is to increase production which should be in naira. Patronise more made in nigeria goods. Ensure electricity stability, license more local refineries for local consumption. When there is less dependency on foreign exchange, the local currencies gains cos there will be value.

The naira would definitely find it's true value but it's better to defend it this way unlike it was done before by supplying to BDC.Avoid bureau de change get supply to the right people but I must confess it going to be a war against speculators which would increase the naira volatility.

Before we all get carried away with the media propaganda, here are the summary of Tinubu's government to date:

1. Fuel subsidy is removed and you will buy fuel for 500 to 900naira per liter (depending on the exchange rate). The savings will be looted like that of kerosene and diesel. There will be no commensurate succor/ palliative for your suffering. Instead of going after the subsidy thieves and stopping the smuggling across boarders, they have transferred the responsibility to the helpless Nigerian people.

2. Naira has been devalued (though they call it floating). The FG has handed over the exchange to the market forces where speculators and banks are king. Naira continues to fall in the I/E and parallel market. Anybody who tells you Naira will appreciate is a joker, for a corrupt country like ours, the banks and speculators are the new cabal and will drive the rates how they deem fit. Don’t believe…. Just observe. What most don’t get now is that CBN now has no obligation to provide FX at a particular rate to the market, as such the new FG players can access FX from CBN without noise.

3. FG funding for tertiary education has been removed. Students will pay upwards of 400K tuition fee starting next session. A lot of students will drop out and cannot complete their education anymore. The so-called student loan will be almost impossible for an average student without connection to access. Guess what happens to the savings from this funding…. To be looted by the same people who have impoverished the nation.

4. Electricity tariff have been increased (without increased production) and will take effect from July 1st. This is a death knell to small and medium scale businesses. You are now stuck between the devil (PMS at 550naira per liter) and the blue sea (extra expensive electricity tariff).

5. All the FG has done so far is abandon almost all responsibilities it has over the people through the bills being signed since May 29. All Tinubu has done is to make available funds to be shared by him and his goons at the expense of the people. Not a single bill or action aimed at ameliorating the suffering of the already downcast Nigerian people rather adding to the pain in the guise of elitist policies

6. Guess what…. None of these policies have any impact on the political class and they have not made a single sacrifice. Same old political criminals are back in power, Gbaja, Akume, Asari Dokubo etc and you expect any real change apart from increased suffering?. How do you expect Tinubu to pay back the these same criminals who supported him into power?

Well all these moves are necessary to redirect our economy to the right path but it will come with pressure and the nigerian people will bear the consequences for several months.we don't have to wait for investors to bring in foreign exchange we have to get our people to work (just like what china did) becos if we are hoping on investors they will not bring their funds in immediately.He is on the right track but we have to make the economy more productive.

You have forgotten that emefiele tried using the banks to sell dollar to nigerians but they were more corrupt than the BDC doing round tripping and not selling to legitimate nigerians
