Explain to him about the reference letter and move on. The agent shouldn't be your problem. Agent spotted. Be careful y'all |

I have not yet made application to any university but Intend to apply to BCU (Jan intake)
The agent who I plan on using asked for two reference letters, one from my employer and one from a lecturer and was wondering if the two reference letters could be gotten from two different lecturers as opposed to an employer and a lecturer. I got mine from my lecturers. No big deal. Why are you even using an agent? |

TWoods: Secondly, it is untrue that America absolutely needs the H1B visa. The H1B visa as we know it came to being in 1990. Companies like Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, HP were already in existence. America had already invented the internet, made it to the moon and was the world's most powerful economy. The idea that America needs the H1B is completely overblown and does not concur with reality. An Indian student with a PhD from MIT or Stanford returning back to India won't open up a job for some random high school graduate simply because he's American. The Govt. should look into consulting companies like Tata that abuse H1B visas. Let Trump continue so that silicon valley companies will expand their offices in Canada, Germany, London and Switzerland and Software Engineers in EU can start earning "blood money" like our colleagues in the US. Tech pay in EU is peanuts right now compared to the US. New grads in US tech companies will be sitting on 250k/year total TC compared to the misreable £65-85k in Europe for the same new grad role. Canada is even worse lmao. From the tech perspective, Indians and Chinese go through rigorous education system and have built that work ethic to carry out extensive ground breaking researches in advanced areas like Machine Learning, Big Data and AI. You think an average American will put in such efforts? H1B immigrants work harder because they are usually threatened with being fired. The average American just wants to earn enough to pay bills, buy coffee and go on short holidays once every year. I'm not saying they're lazy but they have an idgaf attitude and are usually not committed to work compared to H1B workers. Heard of 996 in China? Another reason America needs H1B is diversity. Diversity makes teams more creative and also contributes to better decision-making. CEO of Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Albertsons, MasterCard, Adobe and other top tech companies are Indians. Europeans and other nationalities came on H1B, got GC and created millions of jobs that employed Americans. Majority of H1B immigrants don't even commit crimes because they're highly educated and just want a better future for themselves and their families. Like I said, I'm lowkey happy because these companies might expand here in EU and will boost our TC but you saying Americans don't need H1B workers is false. Tbh, with the recent happenings, most people of colour might just perish the idea of moving to America sef. Police brutality here in the UK is lower compared to the US plus UK cops don't carry guns... only tasers and UK is bringing back 2 years and relaxing requirements for Tier 2 visa, students might start reconsidering tbh. Trump obviously did this to make his supporters happy because of the upcoming elections. |

My advice is sharpen your skills in data libraries, learn as much and look out for location to get internship if need be.i am fall 2020 data science (loc=london). If you have people working in good companies there too,you can start networking for referals. The most important thing equip yourself with enough libraries.shalom Data analytics tools not libraries |

TIGER1001: I am a prospective msc data science student for fall 2020 in London. Would it be a nice a idea to look for a data science start up where i can use my 20hrs a week student work hour to gain experience? Yes you can and also get paid. Also, your Uni doesn't have to approve it. Infact, avoid unpaid internships if you can, it's rubbish. Check workinstartups.com for London startup jobs/internships. |

The refusal page is attached herewith. School started since 20th I have from now till 16th of next month. Please I need help any advice, solution etc. I am so confused. When I sent financial docs to my Uni in order to get CAS, my fixed deposit document was refused because they stated that the UK embassy would deny me due to that. I wonder how your Uni gave you CAS with a fixed deposit. |

ICaSNg: Quick update !!! Based on an email received from the Visa office in Abuja, if you are refused for January, I won't advise you appeal unless your school can attest to following up on the appeal in time for your resumption in January. The visa office issued update that appeal will now take 3-4 months.
Am shocked and this is totally ridiculous- Unfortunately the Universities have little or no influence on this. Its quite sad and SILLY. Interesting... |

donbreeezy: I had a UK visit refusal in March (21/3/2019) and I submitted the letter (this was acknowledged by the VO), then he went further to say I didn't declare my recent refusal in September (21/9/2019) and because I only declared 1 instead of 2 refusals, its deception.
Meanwhile I've only been refused once and that's March, since then I didn't apply for any other visa until November 28 for Ireland Wow, so this is how unstructured Ireland visa application is... smh. |

jamela: Hi everyone,
Will the new PostStudyWork visas start automatically after 2021 Masters completion, or these would have to be applied for? Is it possible for me to apply for an 18 month MBA course, even though I now have a PhD? Does anyone know any UK universities that offer 18 month MBA programmes that begin in March/April 2021? Check Uni of Bedfordshire. You can even apply for 2020 and still be eligible for the post-work study visa |

Nodicrix: Good day gurus, pls my school has refused to issue me a CAS after I have made deposit and submitted bank statements. They said the class is full and I am on a waiting list pending if someone cancels their admission. I am considering requesting for a refund of the deposit so that I can make payment into another school that has already given me admission. My friends think I should wait till the time frame for the waiting list is exhausted which is 2 weeks from now. But by then it may be too short to pursue CAS and Visa for the other school which also resumes in January. What do you guys think? What University? Teesside? Check Birmingham City University for your course, they resume in February. Also, Bedfordshire has March entry. |

Nedu20: I have a sister in UK. I'm filling my application now and I've gotten to the place they asked if I have family ties in UK. On the options they have as what constitutes family ties, there's no brother nor sister there, should I tick it yes?
My school advised that I should cut much ties in connection with my sister who is a resident in UK so as to boast my visa chance.
Please, what should I do? If you've ever filled that you've got a sister in any visa application, advisable to stick to it. Do know that if you say you ain't got none now, you'd have to be consistent with that... you wouldn't want discrepancies in the future. As for the visa chance boast thing, it's UK not Canada. Provided your sis is legal... you ain't got issues as UK visa process is very straightforward and no point of hiding information from them tbh. And... brothers and sisters are part of your immediate family. Lol what if your sister listed you as a relative when she made her own application? That's why you should stick to the truth. |

if interviewed will it be any random day or the day of the biometric for priority You'd be interviewed immediately after you give your biometrics. You'd be asked to sit and be called when it's your turn and they're ready. |

Thanks... the quote not working for me. Lol
Do you know how priority then gets interviewed Usually priority and super do not get interviewed but recently, they've being interviewing some via phone (I think they call them). So regardless of the service used, one needs to be ready to be randomly interviewed via phone a.k.a hope for the best, prepare for the worst. |
