1stdami: I also got my refusal letter on this same day with the same reason. I applied 6th of August.
An additional reason in mine is that I don't have travel history which is clearly wrong because I schooled in Ghana (at least it's something). I feel the VO didn't even take time to view the application well. I don't think they count African countries as good travel history but travel history isn't even a major reason for refusal... people with virgin passports still get approved |

People get into schools like Oxford, et al. Why assume that he/she that requested for possible schools doesn't have these "hard requirements" or have enough funds or can't score a scholarship to attend these schools meant for Obamas, Dangotes?
Lmao, okay![/color] Keep forming unnecessary woke, that one concern you |

pete26: Good morning house, so I got was refused visa just yesterday after applying less than a month ago. its really painful to say the least, been refused a few weeks later isn't an easy thing to take but I'M gearing to make sure I do way better next time. I'd really need the assistance of the gurus in the house to show me where I need to step up. here's my profile:
First time applicant (Self Sponsored)
Applied on AUG 31st
Biometrics done on September 3rd
BVL and refusal on September 18th That was fast. They probably spotted a red-flag in your application very early. |

Zoey1: Is everyone doing Masters? Are there no PhD students, Undergrads here? What if A Masters student gets PhD funding? Or chose to start PhD by him or herself? 1. Read to understand 2. Look at number 1 3. What if an MSc student doesn't get PhD funding? or cannot afford a PhD after completing their MSc? Always consider every possible scenario. At least me pinpointing it now will create awareness and make people plan ahead. “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” |

Zoey1: Depends on duration of their study and further plans. Most people starting this September (MSc) will be graduating next year. Only people that would graduate after 2020 are eligible. The safest thing to do is to find January courses (MSc) with a duration of 15 months, so you'd be eligible for the post-work study visa. N/B: I'm referring to only prospective Masters applicants. |

Sumji: Let's be guided bro... You think? I know! I gained admission for a COURSE BASED masters program in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, at UCalgary. I'm not guessing, I was told by the representative of the department before I applied, that I don't need to search for a supervisor before applying, as one would be provided if my application is successful. It was successful.
Whoever needs to apply should call the department of interest, and equally go through the schools website. No need guessing or debating over information that is available. Before I graduated (had only my first & second year grades), I applied for MSc Computer Science (Specialization in Software Engineering) at UCalgary and my application stayed for 3 months before they replied and said they couldn't allocate a supervisor to me. N/B: I was in a UK University & was predicted to graduate with a first class in Software Engineering. |
