Interesting

Data analysis might have been carried out based on very small datasets. Notwithstanding, based on personal observations, the above analysis might be somewhat close to the real deal.

Does the below line mean that those with three-year bachelor's degree in computer science can't apply?

Not all countries offer four years of study for a bachelor's degree. Some are three years. Are graduates from those countries ineligible to apply?

See screenshot below

UK degrees are 3 years and are internationally accepted and no university will reject one. You get the drift? Usually universities put 3 or 4 years of study for a bachelor's as part of their requirements but I guess this one missed it. You can email them to correct their error.

Hello Seniors,

Please help me with schools I can get full funding for Master

CGPA 4.23/5

Course Mathematics/Statistics with Finance cos I'm qualified ACA

GRE Quant 150 Verbal 139 = 289

Fall 2020

Presently working with 3years experience in financial service industry

Please do I stand a chance?

Why don't you look into Data Science? There's blood money in FinTech and Chief your Quant needs rework. Hit at least 159+ to be in a better position and 155+ for verbal.

Good day all, have read through several post on the thread, good job guys. My question
1. I do not have 2.1 as most university require 2.1 for msc
Please recommend to me a school I can apply to, to study an agric related MSC course and do not demand 2.1

2. What's is the possibility of my family joining me, within few months

Thank you as I expect a good Samaritan to reply asap

What's your GPA? Maybe look towards PGD

To the Gurus of in the house,

I have been on Nairaland for 10 years.
My original moniker was TheCongo.
I have been a silent reader of this thread.

I am a Canadian Citizen with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from the United States. My GPA was 3.2 on a 4 point scale.
I have been in the work force since 2005. And now, I would like to go for my Master degree in Computer Science.
I applied at the University of Western Ontario for the Fall 2019 admission but my application was rejected.
Should I re-applied?

I live in London and I am not willing to leave my province for school. Is there any Canadian University that offers Master Degree Online?
Can anyone provide me with any tip on how I can gain graduate admission to the University of Western Ontario?
Please someone should educate me on how to go about this

Hello everyone
I intend to study in the U.K. Sheffield Uni for January 2020.

I have a BSc in Industrial Chemistry and I wish to study Supply Chain Management for MSc.

Does my propose course of study raise a red flag with respect to my undergraduate degree?

Can I still go ahead with seeking admission considering there is literally 4 months before resumption date?

UK does not care whether you switch from Fine Arts to Medicine. They just want your money

CMU is a private university. You need to check the CIC website to confirm if it is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) recognized by IRCC.

Good afternoon everyone, and thanks for the valuable posts here. Its been helpful.
I got an offer with Pace university new York. The tuition is about $45k, and i got a $2900 scholarship award. My question is, is there anyway i can get financial aid , knowing well i don't have the financial capacity now to pay for it. The offer came in last Wednesday, so i had to defer it to next fall.
Sincerely, i need advice on what to do and suggestions as well.
Thanks, I'm new here.

$2,900 off $45,000? I would have asked them if they gave me the money to buy biscuit and gelato on my way to New York. undecided

Lol,I no be O.BO,but then, what are my chances of getting the visa without these exams?

Mentioning standardized tests during an interview just shows you're a genuine student and might increase your chances. Though, it won't reduce your chances cuz even people with Ivy League admission letters, perfect SAT & TOEFL scores get denied due to other reasons. If you're feeling fly and confident and you've also met other requirements, shoot your shot and you fit score with bicycle kick.

Not writing them doesn't mean you'd be refused. People on this forum have gotten their visas without taking either GRE, GMAT, SAT or TOEFL. The V.O might not even ask you for any proficiency or standardize test during your interview. Since you want to know your chances... if there is a chance that an event will happen, then its probability is between zero and 1. That being said, visa decisions are 50-50. No matter how airtight your application is - it's at the V.O's discretion to either approve or refuse ~ which would depend on how your interview goes.

okay.. I graduated with a 2'2 in physics and I'm working in an hotel currently..can I apply for a course in hotel management..
what chances do I have??do I need PGD

Admission won't be an issue for PGD. Selkirk College offers a PGD in Hospitality Management. You'd get admitted provided you have a 2-year diploma or BS.c degree in any field... the main issue would be your Visa Application. You'd have to come up with a really convincing SOP stating why you wana switch from Physics to the aforementioned. Don't be scared o, it's very doable but up to you really.

Good morning everyone,so I just got to this platform and I dunno if the question I’m about to ask has been discussed earlier but please,I need answers
Does taking the SAT and IELTS boost my chances of getting my visa approved?
If I don’t take those exams, what are my chances of getting the visa approved?
Please y’all should contribute and help a soul

With the way V.Os dey eye people wey no write GRE, like say dem be admission officer, your best bet is to give it a shot. You'd obviously get funding with good scores unless you're O.B.O and money no be problem.

congrats but dressing doesn't affect your interview outcome. I saw some people with short nicker and polo, some even wearing Dunlop slippers getting approved. Just dress smart. During my last interview, I wore simple native attire.

Fax... I wore pampers, a yellow hoodie with YBNL in front and Marlian at the back, a white MAGA hat and Air Max and still got approved for Havard University. When person dey chop food, him no dey chop the container join.

Choosing a different discipline does not matter so long your explanation for the change is valid. If I may ask please, what is the name of the school?

Switching from a Social Science background to IT can be dicey... most schools would not turn a blind eye. Say, he did any of the Engineering programmes that is not tech related, sure he can get admitted to an MSc programme with relevant qualifications though priority would be given to those with prior relevant background. It depends on how you package your application anyway and having a proof to backup your claim like certifications will go a long way during your consideration.

Please can someone clarify this for me, while uploading my documents in my cic account, I noticed I cant upload multiple documents. So in a case where I have to upload transcript, degree cert. Police character and other supporting documents am I suppose to merge all into one pdf file and upload or there's another way to go around it?

Use https://smallpdf.com/merge-pdf and combine them together as one. Smallpdf works for docs, pdf, etc. Then use https://www.pdf2go.com/compress-pdf to compress your merged files.

I need inputs, my undergrad is in social sciences but for the past 5 years i have been into IT field. I applied for master's in information technology but was denied.

I was advised to attempt undergraduate admission by the school. Their reason for denial was based on my background which isn't sciences.

Do you think it's a good advise to follow the undergraduate admission?

Is it logical to apply for another under graduate in information technology after like 6 years out of school?

Are visas approved in such circumstance or even graduate diploma? Noting that my age isn't within the range of an undergraduate student

What kind of IT experience do you have? Programming, Web development, Networking, Cyber security, ML, Data science or others (be specific)

Not booming is an edge for him, tell about how his Innovative ideas earned in Canada can bring about change in the industry thus development . Talk about how passionate u r about bringing this development and how lucrative the program will be for u if u r outstanding hence high in demand, furthermore explain how energy system is related to elect/elect, trust me all engineering courses r intertwined with each other, it all speaks the same language TECHNOLOGY, go ahead dear and work on ur refusal to gt ur visa, all the best.

Another angle but it's 50/50. It boils down to how convincing and concise one can be cuz it can easily get vague. Also depends on the V.O too... notwithstanding, you've got a point.
