Historically polygamy has been the mainstay of masculinity. But modernity and Christianity made men to become disciplined with one wife. There are things men can get away with in the Nigerian society and that includes polygamy. The moment a woman tries it she loses her pride and becomes a LovePeddler.

That some foolish and selfish men can get away with polygamy doesn’t make it right.

People have also gotten away with murder, robbery, etc. Does that make it right?

Polygamy is a choice and shouldn’t be normalized just to project men as being in charge and women as sub-standards.

There are women that have been with multiple men at a time or been married to different men at various times. Some have even attempted being married to different men at the same time.

Open marriage doesn’t necessarily have to involve sex with multiple partners. There are a million things that can be done in an open marriage. Explore, travel, independence,…..,they are too numerous to mention and sex is just by the corner.

It's not just about acquiring certificates as you said, it is a state of mind. But what the guy said is very wrong as there are several millions of educated proffesional that are successful in their chosen career. About scholarships matters and the likes. Several thousands of young students have failed miserably in their academics simply because people told them that education is a scam. Just like the person you are defending. If a young student should see such comment, he or she will be discouraged. Try to get my point, I have seen hundreds of people that education has given a better living and has changed their lifes. It is not a matter of bragging. I am sure you yourself must have seen one or two individuals whose life has changed as a result of been educated.
