good funding and does this funding cover both tuition and living expenses? if yes, the 4m is ok and is his program a 2yrs program? but another factor to be considered is his dependents if married? if he is, how many are they, ages and level of education so far? is his wife employed to cover the gap of maintaining his family in his absence?
@senior man MichV. Thanks for your response. He has no wife and children yet. He has been working in a law firm for over 4years now. His first degree is in law and what is going for in Sask also is law but for a year first and after that he will proceed to master. The 20kcad covers tuition and living expenses.

Hellp everyone hear,
I need your help. I applied for my student permit to Canada and i submitted my documents with my passport before i took medical check up. I got an email yesterday saying i should go for medical check up. When i went to the hospital today for medical check up they told me i need my passport or a photocopy stamped from the high commission yet the high commission has not sent it to me .
What should i do? I am confused and scared
Guy.Gu.Guy If you link your application online. CIC will send you a mail to check your account. and you will receive a medical mail invite. another mail will be sent to you attached with your passport stamped by them from accra. if you check your account online you will also see the medical form sent to you and thats what you will take to the hospital for medical clearance.

House, my supervisor at the University of Saskatchewan mailed me last night just to inform me that the Dean's scholarship application he filed for me to support my PhD work has been rejected; although there are backup from his side. He categorically stated that this was based on the fact that the committee see me as someone with little or no research experience (I got a direct PhD admission to the department of biomedical engineering). From my supervisor's side the Canadian space agency has given him grants to support some of his PhD students, he later sent me a letter of assistantship that I have been awarded $ 20,000 for up to 4 years. Is this sufficient to show at the embassy, aside this what do the experienced ones think about this. Specifically, I have shown interest in one of the MRI projects the Canadian space agency has funded.
Mehn you are so favored. that grant is okay for you to add to any SOA you want to submit too. I was admitted into Mechanical dept. My Supervisor did nothing concerning grant or funding for me even when I ask if he has any assistantship for me, He told me ''NO'' I dont know why sha. I have gotten my TRV and I told him I have secured my TRV and some other questions. do you wanna know his reply? ''WELCOME. C.....Lol His name Prof Chris turned to C. well I pray sha that I will find favour also in his sight by God's grace.

yes bro, he has 3 boys all going to sch (sec. sch)....thou he owns a registered trading company with his wife but he feels if he tenders that it my raise concerns such as why his he using company acct, how would he pay staffs and Co....thou the company has 3 accts (the acct with the fattest money he his not signatory but other account where he his signatory is averagely ok.

please do advise.....what do you suggest we do in your own opinion?
Please let him swear an affidavit of sponsorship and I would have advice he also do an affidavit of fact that no one is dependent on him but he has children. well all he need to do in my own opinion is to write a sponsorship letter that make sense and you need to tell him to explain the reason why he will want to sponsor you for two years and he should also explain in the letter how his family will survive without any problem. please use his SOA that has him as the only signatory.

other gurus please assist.

PLEASE HOUSE I NEED YOUR URGENT HELP. BELOW IS A LETTER I GOT FROM CIC!! AS IT STANDS NOW I CANT THINK STRAIGHT AS IN WHAT TO DO AND THEY GIVE ME SOME DAYS TO REPLY. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE COME TO MY RESCUE. THE QUESTIONS AS IN IF I HAVE TRAVELLED BEFORE WAS NOT UNDERSTOOD INITIALLY SO I SAID NO, HONESTLY IT WAS AN OVERSIGHT. PLAESE NOBLE HOUSE I NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
I have reviewed your application and documents you submitted in its support. Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act.
I have concerns that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states:
16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

On the current application form, you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country. According to information in our records, you were refused a visa to the United States in 2016.
Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a):
40(1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act

40(2) The following provisions govern subsection (1): (a) the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced.
I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. I will afford you fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence, and clearly indicate your file number. If you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above, your application will be assessed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal. Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.
Why Why. chibabe4christ how did you enter this mess? its seems you didnt include in your application that you were denied visa to either US or same canada or other countries. Is that correct?

Greetings to the gurus!!!

I am interested in running a Masters (mech engr) in canada preferably, I have also gone through some of the comments and now I am a little bit discouraged with the financial implications especially if I am to sponsor myself full-time without scholarship nor going for research based courses which i may not be interested. Now my questions are

1. With a budget of 5m, can one run this program.?
2. If yes, what are your suggested cheap schools one can apply inline with favourable standard of living ?......
Check UofS. University of Saskatchewan. Fees is $5850Cad which is like 1.5million per year both Msc and Meng

No, a job offer is NOT a requirement for a spouse open work permit. She will get the work permit to work full time while you study and MAY work part-time. The OPEN means she can apply without a job offer and can work without restriction.

@Austineep, Folaroyal, MichV and other gurus. Please if someone want to apply for SOWP for his wife, does it necessarily mean that she must have gotten a Job in canada first? Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by wealth360: 7:31pm On Mar 16, 2017
[quote author=Austinpee4 post=54648884]If both you and your husband have the financial capacity for you to go with your son, why not!.

You will still have to point it out that him needing attention will not in any way be a distraction to your study and with good financial strength and strategies, you MAY convince a visa officer that adequate attention will be given to him while you indulge in your study.

Your husband and your other two children are good hometies for you including your business.

Now, aside all the circumstance and profile of you and family, the main reason for going to study must be put into perspective.
1. Is your master admission in any way related to your current activity or degree? (hoping it is accounting/financial related)

Once your purpose of visit is in line with your current activities and overall aspiration and interest and your financial capacity can withstand any additional family member you intend to apply with, you sure have a good chance of obtaining your study permit.

However, everything must be put forth outrighly, simply and convincingly to indicate that you the principal applicant is the whole idea of applying for a study permit.

When you eventually obtain your study permit, you can decide to apply for a spouse open work permit (SOWP) for your husband or he renews his current visa before it expires. Your other kids also will have to renew their visiting visas too.
You can find useful info about extension of visiting visas from within canada here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

Regards. [/quote/]

@Austineep and other gurus. Please if someone want to apply for SOWP for his wife, does it necessarily mean that she must have gotten a Job in canada first? Thanks
