I finally picked my passport today and d reason I wasn't given is (your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of :your qualifications,previous studies,employment,level of establishment or. Your future prospects and plans. 2 you have not. Satisfied me that u would leave Canada at the end of your stay. purpose of visit. You guys should let me know what to do next,i want to reapply and respond to this concerns. remember my initial post where I said I studies economics and graduated 2004 and since then I have been working in diff banks. Please how should my response look like cos I really want to studdy supply chain mgt but can't do masters direct cos I had a 2.2 in my undergraduate. I expect u guys to start advising me on whether to do upfront medicals,online application,cos I know fit give them my passport for such a long time again o...assist. A brother

My bro/sis contrary to other opinion, I tink dis is technically a rejection, your files and the file of other applicant have already bin displayed to all supervisors, which is the custom of most faculty in UofS. The Profs v already picked deir students and attempting to get a supervisor now, will b for another entry...

If you read the message carefully u will understand dis, abt 150students applied and d Profs had to pick 20, which had already bin done...

My advice is dt you apply to some other schs dt stil v dier admission open or start preparing to apply to UofS for another entry..

I was advised by my friend to join the blog and read up on my study permit requirement but i'm a bit lost as to where to start from to get the requisite information i need at the moment. The thread is quite long.

Just a background story: I am a law graduate and I've been called to bar for about three years.I'm currently working and I have about 18 months post nysc work experience. I'm interested in traveling to Canada for a new career path in business. However, due to the high tuition rate for MBA i opted for a diploma in Business administration. I have an online business which i have managed personally for about 2 years and has yielded lot of returns and i would like to gain more knowledge and better business skills hence my interest in Business. I applied to Lakeland college and Assiniboine community college. I have gotten a letter from both colleges. I intend to start my visa application by March but I don't want to make any mistake. Hence my long talk

Now these are my questions:
1. Due to limited funds as requested by CIC, I intend to use my employer as sponsor (which my boss has agreed to) but i'm a bit skeptical about it because i think it will be frowned out. ( A law firm sponsoring an employee for a business diploma for 2 years) doesn't look feasible to me. what do u guys think?
2.Can i please get a link to checklist of the required documents for the visa application.
3. A letter of explanation format, please do you have any?
4. Do you think it is wise to include the fact that i have an online business in my letter?
5. Do you think i should state the high tuition rate for mba has the reason for my diploma choice?
6. As regards financial support, should i use my employer or look for funds n transfer same to my mum's account and use hers instead?
7. Is the funds indicated meant to be fixed or recurring?( should there be a fixed amount or they just need to see constant flow of cash?
8. Should i go ahead and apply for my study permit with the letter of acceptance?

1. I believe we have courses like Business Law? why dont you choose that?
2. your UG course which is Law is not related to business administration at all. the VO will fault that. Purpose of visit
3. your online business is just 2year old. Is it registered and well known to proof self.
4. Your sponsor is a third party and it will be very hard except there are proof. Again your employer has his own family, he will pay the other employee and what have you done to the company that would warrant the guy to sponsor you?
To me maybe if you can explain in details why you are opting for business admin instead of Business Law in your SOP will be okay. But Your sponsor as your employer will be hard ooooooo.

i applied to 3 schools for fall 2017 resumption - 1 college and 2 universities.

I just got my acceptance letter from the College- program is Prof. Financial services. (it was sent since December but i never got it. after several follow ups, i finally got it today from the school's west African representative.)

My undergraduate degree was in Banking and Finance. 3 yrs Banking experience also.

Is it advisable i start my TRV application with this, or i just wait for the universities(MBA)?

If you can wait for the rest to come ...No problem. but for the one you have now , I think there is consistency in your UG, work experience and your PGC program. time still dey for fall term so give the rest some time because i believe MBA small sha.

From my own point of view use ur sister as sponsor since the money is coming from her account. All u need is to provide sponsorship letter, affidavit of sponsor, property docs if she has one, SOA and any other documents that can support her sponsorship in terms of finances. If dere is CAC doc include all. Her birth certificate too showing her name b4 she got married would proof ur relationship with her.

As per ur payment, that fly wire I don't really know much about it, am conversant with Form-A. The gurus should profer any suggestions they have as regards that.

Hmmmmmm. Remember ooooo. The money was transferred to the future applicant sister and from there the sister want to transfer to the applicant. we need to be careful about this. because if you use your her as sponsor how well is her account in term of money inflow and outflow? do not just use her account becos she transferred money to you. Please check the past 6 month of her account statement and make sure it is good anof for applying and then ask your sister if she has all things like the documents listed above.

Based on my own opinion, it advisable you guys use different sponsor because am damn sure VO would link the SOA if you guys are to use your dad.....
since you would be fully funded, you can get a family member who would be willing to put down his/her SOA for you and let your sister use your dad has her sponsor...

VO are psychologist and you shouldn't play mind games with them. I hope this cent helps..

However, which university did you apply, what course and were you able to secure a potential advisor?

Someone on this platform uses same documents with the sister for TRV and both of them got it same sponsor. I will check through if I see the post I will paste it here

There is funding attached to the course even at Masters level and there is no limited time to apply for the course. You can apply anytime.
My question is considering the rate of competition in universities in Canada, will I be considered even the supervisor has granted me a go ahead, they required a 70% cgpa system in the school although I don't know the rank I would be in their system. However my question is would it not be best if I would opt for another Masters by research in the same course where I would have upper hand in the process than pursuing a PhD which would be extra competitive.

What would you suggest house especially from our experience friends before I apply?

As I told you before Computer Sci Msc in Usask is very competitive even you will see that on their website that admission is not easy with ur husbby CGPA. 3.74 is very low to what dey required. I also assisted a friend recently to gain admission into Usask with a cgpa of 3.39...Chemical eng.Msc but Comp Sci too dey competitive. Check your emails for Dos samples mail I sent to you to find supervisor. Please always state your research purpose or topic.

Even if you plead from now till next year you won't be allowed. You would have to come with your international passport. They know right from the very start that our drivers license issuance is porous and people don't acquire it through the legal approved route they are used to.

The next thing you should think of now is how you get your voucher to reschedule. This might take some weeks. But should incase you need guidelines I can drop a hint.

Hello house. Right now am suppose to be rejoicing about am GRE result.
I got to the centre dis morning at JKK house. Registration started and unfortunately for me I didn't go with my Intl passport only went there with driver licence and receipt of my Passport submission to CIC. So I tot I would be let in to write. Mehn they didn't allow us ooooo. We are like 4 in number. It Wass very painful becos of the time,energy and the money spent on it.

I know it's my fault but e get why.

There is nothing wrong with your application, you must have ticked that you would like to receive 'monthly updates' from the embassy on your CIC page its an auto generated message ..Expect that every month through out your application process till your application is Closed.

I want to appreciate the likes of Walspring and other Altruist in the house for the discounted GRE test payment. am a beneficiary.
I just want to make a point on the GRE exam. Please if you are planning to write please do your research very well on where to write it. initially i was planning to take the test with BY MAFIT with just 50K until I was selected by walspring and he paid for me under ETS and am so glad I did. Why did i say so? If you check the BY MAFIT site you wont see the main venues for the different date posted on the site until you register with them and I check very well on ETS and discovered they have venues allotted for the different date.

PLEASE NOTE: the remaining test date on ETS for this month is FEB 12 and 13th. and mind you on the 12th is in Lagos here while on the 13th is in cotonou. and again throughout the month of march, all the test date and venues for GRE is not in lagos or Nigeria but in COTONOU.

Please if you are registering under BY MAFIT please call them to be sure of the date and venues very well before you register with them.
