Masters in lib & inf. studies. Meanwhile hope u are a good statement of purpose writer? l had to respond to three sets of questions with specific word limit, its part of the application process. Good CGPA is also needed.

ln a nutshell, l prayed for the grace and favour of God as l only applied to UBC. God's grace is always sufficient so l got it.

University of British Columbia is accepting applications from Nigerians without any fee, I know many knw this already, but also note getting admission to UBC is almost like marrying a Nigerian male Virgin.

The admit way less than their applications.

So, I advise you also apply to other schools.

Well.... I want to think cos of my appeal in the LoE... I actually wrote under travel history that I'll be needing my passport before Xmas for a trip to the US!(bolded in purple)
One thing is... You can't just guess for this CIC people as no one understand their ways and secondly I think they put attention to and read LOEs very well! Just a thought though!

I remember when my friend's mum was refused.... the only thing new I added to her application is LoE... very detailed and polished!... they gave her 5years trv the 3rd week.

It was affidavit of sponsorship from a magistrate court in Edo state. But instead of building my sponsor account, can't I build my account instead with all these money totalling 4 million and declare myself self sponsor? Cos I don't know where my brother will get extra millions despite his own family duties. I mean I intend to build up my salary account to 4million with deposits and withdrawal and leave closing balance of 4 million after which I will now pay part tuition

Please does any one know of any school that accept 2.8 CGP(the conversion into Canadian grade is still not clear to me) into Masters in Engineering/Technology courses. I would have applied for PGC but the odds are a little bit against me: an informal job experiences(no pay slip or employment letter)and no travel experience but my sponsor(brother) have sufficient finance to cover any program.

Thank God with me brethren, my TRV was approved today. This dream started when I discovered this travel section in my 300l, then my cumulative was 3.42(second class lower) I found out that I can't get admission into most Msc programs in Canada with a 2.2. In my last two years in school, I worked very hard and finally graduated with 3.58 ( second class upper).

I saved up my NYSC alawee for 2-3 months and applied to UBC and university of Regina. I was accepted by the latter around June this year.

Applied on 23 September (paper route)
Called for medical on 24 November
Medical test done on 28 November
Medical passed on 1st December
Application approved on 6th December
First application + Virgin passport

1. I have offer at Carleton and U Regina, same course. Although I have paid 4000CDN in Regina, I am have a problem of choice deciding which of the schools to choose (based on the regions and which would favor me as a Nigerian both during and after school. Please advise me on which choice to take and give me reason(s).

2. I also need help on making the choice of Flight to use to land in either of Regina or Ottawa (Carleton), a good guide please.

3. Any other advise you think I might need.

Thank you Olujastro. His questions smacks of laziness. Was just been patient in answering them.

Look you have to read. Read I mean. Everything you need is on ntnu website. You Nearly made 1st class. People with such CGPA are smart people.

You can send your transcript to NTNU before 15th December to be on the safe side.

But I don't think you can be denied admission (when you qualify) because you didn't send especially if the one you uploaded was verified to be authentic.

My friend just uploaded only and he was offered admission this year . He was only told to present the original on resumption.


BTW.. Your CGPA is fantastic. With that I am sure you will get in -- all things being equal (ceterus paribus)

I wonder who started this documents certification story sef. I also saw it way back in this thread. There's no need to certify any documents you're applying with, especially school certificates. They are already certified with ur school stamps and signature on them. I didn't certify anything, I just applied right away.

All documents must be original copies. Photocopies are not allowed.

The transcript must be an officially certified copy from your university i.e it must contain the official stamp of your university and signed by the dean, registrar etc

Note: All your academic documents(especially University diploma and transcript) will be verified from your school. If your documents are unable to be verified, you will not be considered for admission.

Inaddition to uploading, NTNU also require Nigerian applicant to send their transcripts
directly through the issuing university to NTNU.

Your waec must be an original copy (front and back scanned in one pdf document).

To your question, it depends on what the person wants to do in Canada, is he going to school, to work.. Etc

If he already has an Msc from Cyprus shouldn't he be talking about a PhD program or does he want to do another Masters degree in Canada..

For a PhD admission, his 2:2 degree results doesn't really have much role to play provided he did well in his Masters degree, and more especially if he did a Thesis/Research based Masters. (And some other requirements)

There are many ways to migrate to Canada, but one sure easier way is through a study permit!!

And 2:2 graduates also get admitted into some Canadian Universities and colleges, I'm 100% sure. But this is dependent on many other aspects and requirements.
Can the person AFFORD CANADA TUITION NOW?

Anyways, enlighten the house more on your questions, situation.
Ask that SOMEONE YOU KNOW to explain better on his/her intentions...
