Update: question time at Ogali Centre. program ongoing, basically to enhance learning through effective teaching. After everything they gave us 50 Naira Biscuits. Started 9:30 end 1:00pm.

Protocol is broken for everybody RSSSB submitted voucher late that is why they are affected. But Sept ending is sure. The good thing is that with or without promotion letter our desire is achived and we can now breath.

ON HEARING THIS, WE SENT ALL OUR PROTEST LETTERS AND PETITION TO THE GOVERNOR, COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION,SSG, CHIEF OF STAFF AND SA TO GOVERNOR ON INTER GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS.
WHILE STILL AT DIOBU MONITORING EVENTS, THE DSS TRACKED ADONYE NUMBER AND TOOK HIM AWAY. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, SO WE SECRETLY SENT TEXT TO MADAM FLORENCE OGWUTUM WHO DROVE TO MEET US AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE GATE, SHOUTING WE ARE TEACHERS, THEN WE FINALLY GOT FAVOUR FROM THE GOVERNOR AND LEFT THE DSS SECURITY POST AND ENTERED THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

ON REACHING THERE, THE NUT CHAIRMAN WAS CALLED TO I IDENTIFY US BUT HE DENIED US THAT WE ARE NOT HIS TEACHERS, WE TOLD HIM THAT YOU DONT KNOW US BUT YOU ARE DEDUCTING OUR MONEY. BEFORE THE DSS TOOK US IN TO THE GOVERNOR'S CONFERENCE HALL

*MEETING WITH THE GOVERNOR*

THE GOVERNOR CAME TO THE MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, CHIEF OF STAFF, .HEAD OF SERVICE,COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION, AND PDP STATE CHAIRMAN.

WE STATED OUR POINTS BASED ON OUR DEMANDS AS IS IN OUR STRUGGLE AND THE NUT CHAIRMAN STATED HIS DEFENSE.

*RESOLUTION/ GOVERNOR'S DIRECTIVE*

1. THE GOVERNOR INSTRUCTED THAT ALL DEDUCTIONS ON THE BUILDING BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY.

2. THE GOVERNOR, INSTRUCTED THE HEAD OF CIVIL SERVICE DR. GEORGE NWEKE AND THE COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION TO CALL THE TWO BODIES, (NUT AND US) TO RESOLVE ALL ISSUES.

3. THE GOVERNOR INSTRUCTED THAT THE COST OF THE REMAINING BUILDING BE SENT TO HIM , THAT HE WILL COMPLETE THE BUILDING.

4. THE GOVERNOR INFORMED US THAT THE PROMOTION OF UBE HAS BEEN APPROVED AND WILL BE IMPLEMENTED. BUT THAT OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IS ON HOLD DUE TO NO CONSTITUTED BOARD, BUT THAT HE WILL CONSTITUTE THE BOARD NEXT WEEK SO AS TO CONCLUDE THEIR PROMOTION.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TODAY.

If i have my way you people will be declared as our new NUT excos. I salute your courage and like the angle you came out from..the NUT angle not promotion but at last they gave us feedback on both. God bless all teachers of good conscience towards mankind.

Imagine the nonsense you hace not talked of promotion and they are accusing teachers of fghting government and even denying teachers. Na wa...NUT Should be reconstituted or scrap.

Update on promotion

Today Monday, I was at the State Board headquarters at DLine. I heard the ogaz there have collected letter of promotion but the lower cadres in the same Board has not collected. I was reliably informed that out of the over 6,000 staff strength of sssb and ube, about 800 are going to level 16 from previous level of 12$13 respectively. That the governor is doing the implementations in batches as earlier stated here by others too. Yes, he is paying promotion arrears too. That he claimed, he is observing the amount involved as to know the financial strength of the state. They said, sssb, UBE and ministry of health has the highest financial amount from the state.

But based on the informations I pointed out and the ones I have not stated. Kindly remove your mind on promotion letter for now.
Like I will always tell us, yes God's favour and grace is available to all, and nothing is impossible with God.

For now, nothing new is happening at the board. So let's move on.

You people are saying what you don't know here.The acting Chairman has right to endorse all documents as far as SSSB is concerned.The truth of the matter is that the promotion letters are moving in batches to ascertain the correct amount to be paid.The arrears of the promotion are dated back to June and so if you get yours by next Month,you will be your arrears of salary.Th UBEB will get their promotion letters next week and their arrears Will be paid too.The SSSB will get theirs next month.

My humble advice for those who want to protest, pls be careful how you people go about this plan. Government may misunderstood your plans and tag it sponsored protest from the opposition party. They are paying us and things are hard like this, imagine if the salary isn't coming how it will be. Pls we have not died for more than 10 years and we will not also die now. I have no problem with the protest, because it may not happen knowing that teachers are very patient people by nature.

Besides, Naturally and Historically Teacher hardly protest, is almost possible to say they don't protest, the reason is simple, we have a government that doesn't care about their welfare

And the government did not blink eyes, who are you.

Who protested before promotion was declared, Nobody.

Who protested for the interview to be done in 30days, Nobody.

Who have protested over 16 years No promotion under the govornors, Nobody sir.

Which state in Nigeria give the best treatment for teachers ....? Almost none sir. 1% is a failure.

Are teachers united enough to fight a common course in Nigeria? No Sir.

We always wait for things to work out itself as it has sometimes work out itself with these unreasonable government, system and country.

Is a process, and is in progress and will be completed when the time elapse.

Over 16 years they have been sitting on promotion of hard working, rivers citizens, Nobody sit down for ever, no matter how long they have been sitting on these promotion and promotion letter, the time have come for them to stand up and they must stand up for all deserving workers of the state especially teachers to breath, the breath of fresh air.

Even if you dont fight for it, what is fighting them will fight them till they release it. No peace for the wicked.

You are correct. People who know , know that these politicians have no conscience or feelings for anybdy, 10 years no promotion. They are out to frustrate, control, manipulate, dominate and enslave people.

I believe we will get what will seek, God is involve, though it require a little patience, am sure it will come.

The person who said it, and started it have gone, the new government want to conserve money and need any little chance to do so, before we hear the process is flawed....and then...NUT and NLC look and smile while we meet ourselve same place. Why the courageous teacher are taged and nailed.

In as much as protest is part of an enforcement process. Seek counsel and ask for wisdom. Wisdom is profitable to direct.

In as much as we are not silent on this they are heaing us. Dont ever think tbey are not hearing, they are, they just like to do it at their own time or make u vex and tell u even if heaven fall nothing will happen.

This is where NUT and NLC need to show working. State NUT and NLC should dialogue or follow up the government and update or comminicate us not deduct our money and leave the fighting to us.

If there is good communication between all the parties involve their wlll be less anxiety.

Though the trending chat on these thread now is promotion letter knowledge about the pay structure is also helpful and vital. some people dont know it and with the post they understand what they are expecting after the letter is issued and avoid too much expectations which can lead to frustration or disappointment.

Honestically:
Teachers have population advantage that if used in terms of populating the media with complains about non promotion, demands and general issues concerning the welfare of teachers, will force the government to always settle teachers' demand first before any other sector.

NUT will never speak for teachers but seek only ways of enriching their EXCOS. One of the problems of teachers in Rivers State is the NUT.

The biggest problem of Teachers is NUT. To me is more like political thing now, they are after their own intrest only.

Most Nigeria Leaders are the same. They believe that tne only way to make money as a "leader" in Nigeria is to start an elephant project that look good and make it look like is for the benefit of the people and then make or force the people to pay for the execution of the project through any means, for as long as they can....and to legalize the act, back it with constitution or law.

To them making positive impact is out of it, leadership position is an opportunity to make money knowing that they have short time in the position.

Their 7 point agenda is how to exploit the people and enrich themselves.

he was using NUT constitution to defend himself and saying the LGA NUT chairmen did not inform the teachers and that is not his fault. According to the constitution you are to contribute to raise fund for the building.

Does not know the number of teachers in the state because some are retiring and some have retired.

When will the building be completed?
He say he doesnt know when the NUT building will be completed but very soon it will be roofed.

What is the.budget for the buiding?
Does not know the budget for the building at the moment.

How much do you get from goverment after deduction?
Does not know how much in total he receive from these deduction.

On number of deduction.
He said he has deducted twice 3000 last year 2022 and 4000 this year 2023.

The initial A. Is it representing Adekunle or Ahmed?

Does the name belong to a Female or a Male in the University.

Was the certificate presented to INEC Authentic compared to what Chicago University Certificate?

Who gave Atiku the transcript and the certificate bearing Bola Adekunle Tinubu in Chicago University? Is it Authentic or approved by the University?

While we await the final decision of the Court on this. If you can help speak on this it will be fine.
