GboyegaD: If you use your GTB Naira Mastercard to withdraw from a Wells Fargo ATM here, Wells Fargo will charge you $3 per transaction. I believe Sanusi has no control over that. |

GboyegaD: ... plus another $3 - $5 ATM charge depending on the bank who's ATM you are using for withdrawal. |

OjaP: How exactly do you mean by that? These are 2 different scales we're talking about here. Are you trying to say if one has a GPA of X/5.0, WES would always evaluate it to some Y > X? |

OjaP: Oh that's good then. He should be able to get in somewhere with a 2.5/4.0. |

OjaP: The uncle had a 2.4/5.0. I believe that's somewhere around 1.9-2.0/4.0 or maybe less. The case is bad for grad school acceptance. |

smithjanetstore: u there? am still expecting u, what abt changing his course dont you think there is a solution there. Sorry I do not know of any school that would accept that GPA into any graduate program. He is better off applying to BS (as transfer) then proceed to MS thereafter. 1 Like |

smithjanetstore: @webstradamus my uncle wants to further his education in usa course mathematics a graduate of unilag with cgpa of 2.40 same course what are his chances to get admission kindly help me out with some universities that are in good in this very major i know say u be yankee base and u sabi wella That GPA is too low to get him into a "good" MS Math program. I'd have advised that he transfers to a BS program and completes 12 - 18 months before starting an MS program but age might not be on his side as per visa interview. What is his profile like? I mean when did he get his BS, how many years work experience, in what field? More info would help find a good path for him to take. |

syahboy: If you're a graduate student I believe the school will refund the money, if you're a young undergraduate forget it. Its either your parents request for it to be given to you or they credit it to your account the next semester. You took the words right out of my mouth! 1 Like |

foohard: Lol ... obviously you didn't get my drift. What I meant was having access to drive newer car models is very easy here as rental companies make them available. You don't need to own these cars or know someone who does before you can have a feel of how well they drive. You simply rent and it's pretty cheap too! That said, buying a car here is also not a big deal Depending on your credit, you can drive out a brand new 2014 luxury car from the dealership without making any down payments and then pay for the car over 72 months Driving a "big" car does not translate to being a "big" man here. But you lucky you already have a wife here who's gainfully employed, I bet she would expedite your integration here and I won't be surprised if you start talking about buying a house in a few months time! You sure have a very bright future bro ... Oluwa is involved in your story |

foohard: Haha ... no biggie about that. It's a normal rental car here ... lol. You go drive newer motor u go tire When you finish studying the guide, you can prep for the knowledge (written) test with this website: http://driversprep.com/test.php?state=il That's what I used in my time. If you're into IT Cert dumps, that website is the equivalent for driving tests |

obsy2020: @ imperiouxx , ojap and house, please is gtb mastercard reliable and efficent in america for withdrawals Why do you want to withdraw though? You can spend with it (without incurring any charges). Pay rent, tuition, fees, groceries etc. I've been using it for the past 2 years. And if you want to hold some cash, you can always collect cash back at Walmart or other stores (free of charge). You do not need to make an ATM withdrawal. 1 Like |

foohard: Hello house, Yes you can drive here with your Nigerian license for up to 90 days after arrival. That's more than enough time for you to get your US license though. Depending on your State, you may need to pass a knowledge test and a road test. You can get more info for Illinois here: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/publications/pdf_publications/dsd_a112.pdf |

sahlau: @ webstradamus , I mean d one dat won't waste time, aw long will it take WES nd aw long will it take ECE? I really don't know about duration but I assume there wouldn't be much difference. Usually the delays come from their inability to get a response from your school during the verification process. All things being equal, it might take 4 - 6 weeks. Rush services might expedite the process given your school responds with a rush too That said, if you're not restricted to using WES or ECE, you may want to try GCE (www.gceus.com). They're a lot faster (10 business days for standard processing) and quite inexpensive too. Plus they accept scanned copies of your transcripts and often times do not contact your school for verification which takes out the delay factor. Lastly, they are an accredited NACES (http://www.naces.org/) member so you have nothing to worry. |

sahlau: Wich is the best btw WES & ECE for transcript evaluation, need advice asap You are more likely to get a higher GPA from WES than ECE. I would go with WES if GPA outcome were the most crucial factor. |

eedrism: Hello houseeeeeee----i got Denied again today @ Abj nd I have post my interview review for everybody 2 see---But I want to re apply asap because A̶̲̥̅♍ paying anoda visa fee on thursday and I have a questions for u all plss ansa. Sorry about your denial. I think you need to chill for a bit and restrategize. DO NOT attend another interview this FALL. You will only come off as DESPERATE. There were several loopholes in your last interview. You didn't sound convincing in your responses (due to fear) and it seems there might be some inconsistencies in your responses compared to your previous interviews. I believe you still have a lot to cover in terms of preparing for the interview. Luckily all the information you need have been covered here on Nairaland (from part 1 - 4). Take the time and read everything diligently. There is a huge wealth of knowledge here. And to help you fast track your recovery, I suggest you also post your previous 2 interviews here so the house can analyze your responses and start the postmortem from the bottom. |

foohard: I know you have the result else you wouldn't have earned the scholarship . I looked at the curriculum and it looks pretty good (I like the IA track!). And you're right about the top 10 schools being more tilted towards CS and SE. You can't blame them really, that's what the market requires. But since you're obviously not interested in the US job market, no shaking for you, carry go! Enjoy your stay in Chicago and remember to go back home to contribute your quota to the development of IT services in Nigeria. |

Look up the requirements on the School's website and don't just rely on hearsay. If they require an evaluation from you, they will say so. BTW, what did you mean in the bolded phrase above? |

idalex: Means you're at liberty to make your own arrangements for those. The amounts listed are estimates and would vary depending on lifestyle. For instance you can choose not to buy any books and depend on online ebooks and your school library. Regarding housing, you can "cut your coat according to your cloth" and try living like Indians Works for them! Food is very cheap here ... especially junk! Just make sure you hit the gym regularly |

Spanishmario: All of those fees are MANDATORY. I was referring to your I-20 breakdown which will usually include Insurance, housing, Books etc. Those are the areas in which you can save money. What you listed above are tuition and fees you cannot avoid and if you ask me I think its kinda expensive. You have to pay all of that and then still pay for housing, feeding, insurance, books. By the way, what is SEVIS fee doing there and how come its 150 USD? |
