Christianity Etc › Re: Help! I Am Praying In A Language I Don't Understand. by wellmax(m): 9:44am On Nov 29, 2013
I see muslims studying the bible more than their book, looking for what Ŧo use in arguements...little wonder the Word bears no fruit in them. You call Jesus a prophet, yet you come here Ŧo insult His person. This is the height of confusion. May God's hand of mercy reach you.

Ŧo OP, if you have trully read your bible like you claim, you will understand what happening Ŧo you without coming Ŧo seek public opinions. Better still you could talk Ŧo a christain of like faith. The Holy spirit comes Ŧo consecrated christians when the seek Him. But sometimes God sees your innocence andd sincererity, and wants Ŧo use you for his purpose, He then fills you with His Spirit. Samson and John were spirit filled from their mother's womb, they had no choice but Ŧo heed the call of God.
God bless you.

Phones › Re: Share Your Phone Loss/theft Experiences Here!!! by wellmax(m):
Believe me or not this happened today!

My friend (Kate) lost her BB Bold 6 phone 3 months ago. There was only one guy (I’ll call him Dan) in the area when the phone was missing, but this guy insists on his innocence. After much pleading and harassment, the guy was adamant, swearing and cursing. Kate just forgot about the phone.
Fast forward two months later one of her friend said she was chatting with a guy with the PIN and showed my friend the DP; lo and behold it was Dan’s pics. Before long Dan deleted all contacts and wouldn’t accept any. Later on, another friend got him on Whatsapp and pretended to be a Sugar mummy needing a young guy. Na so my Dan just fall. She kept the discussion running for two weeks. Today 18.11.2013, she told Dan it was time they met. She promised him Lunch at TFC, told him not to worry; she’ll pay for everything, and even offered to pick him up. Later she told him that because of her busy schedule and Lagos traffic, Dan should just come to meet her in the office and that she will refund his transport. Na so Dan rush come ooo.
She had already briefed office security of his coming and the plan. Immediately he came, they called her on phone; repeatedly calling her Madam, fooling Dan. Dan was just cool, happy that he has hooked up with a big madam. Before you say jack, plain cloth Policeman came to meet him in the waiting room and sat beside him. Then Kate, the real owner just showed up. Dan wan enter ground. The plain clothe Police man just showed him an ID and handcuffed him. Dan started crying, confessing and pleading.
He’s still at the police station as I write. Meanwhile my friend has resumed Pinging.
Business › Re: Is Gtbank Really The Best Bank In Nigeria by wellmax(m): 4:27pm On Nov 18, 2013
I seriously don't think so.
If you are just a regular account holder, maybe you will enjoy GTB, but if you are like me, I deal with more than 6 banks, managing more than 17 accounts in all. I can categorically tell you that GTB is the most frustrating. No matter your volume they won't give you concessions when necessary, they are too rigid with policies. I had to pass much of the transactions of the companies I monitor thru other banks.

Politics › Amaechi Not NGF Chairman, Presidency Insists by wellmax(op): 10:09am On Nov 18, 2013
The Presidency insisted on Sunday that it did not recognise Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi as the chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, hence the absence of President Goodluck Jonathan at the retreat organised by the Amaechi-led faction of the Forum in Sokoto.

Jonathan was billed to deliver the keynote address at the retreat where the resource peesons included the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwwal; Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka; and Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah.

Special Adviser to Jonathan on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, told The PUNCH that the NGF recognised by the President was the faction led by Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang.

Gulak said the retreat at Sokoto on Saturday was not an event of the authentic NGF but a show of the “Amaechi Governors Forum.”

The governors’ forum had been split into factions since its controversial election few months ago. While a group of governors, among them the G-7 members otherwise referred to as the ‘rebel’ governors, said Amaechi was their elected chairman, others, made up of mainly Jonathan loyalists, claimed that Jang was the chairman.

Both factions have since run parallel groups of the NGF with the Presidency identifying with the Jang faction while Amaechi has been suspended by his Peoples Democratic Party.

He is a key member of the new faction of the PDP and he played host to leaders of the opposition All Progressives Congress recently.

Gulak said, “What happened in Sokoto was not a retreat for the Nigeria Governors’ Forum. It was an event for Amaechi Governors Forum.

“As far as the President is concerned, Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and not Amaechi.

“The poor attendance at the Sokoto event confirmed that it was not organised by the genuine governors’ forum.

“President Jonathan would have attended if the event was organised by the genuine and proper governors’ forum.”

The states represented at the retreat were Lagos, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kano, Adamawa, Borno, Jigawa, Niger, Kwara and Nasarawa.

The event was also attended by a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Muhammed Uwais; former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; and the National Chairman of the new faction of the PDP, Alhaji Kawu Baraje.
