How did an RPG get into the country without security agencies knowing? Amazing how porous our customs and borders are.

Or perhaps its an RPG belonging to the Nigerian army! Meaning either it was stolen (in which case there MUST have been a report to this effect), OR it was LOANED out by a military personnel! I dont think the Nigerian Police even have 1 RPG! So this is really amazing and astonishing!

I think the first question is to ask WHERE d RPG came from? And persecute all those linked with it getting into the hands of some useless muslims!

But come o, if Farouk (an obvious a proven criminal is steal yet to be convicted, then y we de waste our time?

But like i have always said on this forum the ONLY way out is "WE THE YOUTHS MUST TAKE TO THE STREETS AND FIGHT FOR OUR OWN DESTINY CUS NO ONE IS WILLING TO FIGHT FOR US". Just 2 months of sit at home strike and we will see results!

Sports / Kano Pillars Star Set For Norway Trials by Werehkpe: 10:48am On Jun 30, 2012
Kano Pillars forward Isa Sharif will return to Nigeria next week after he was granted an extension to his trials in Ukraine by his club.

“We now expect Sharif to rejoin us sometime next week after we agreed for him to spend an additional week on trials in Ukraine,” disclosed Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa.

“We initially gave him a two-week leave, but he later asked for another week after which he again demanded for another extension.”

Malikawa said the feedback they have so far received indicate the former schoolboy international was successful during the trials and has already begun negotiations with the Ukrainian club Obolon FC.

Meanwhile, Pillars will play Saturday’s Round of 32 Federation Cup tie against either Kaduna United or Police Machine without star striker Gambo Mohammed as well as Nasiru Ali.

Mohammed, who has netted 11 goals in the Nigeria Premier League, has been ruled out due to injury, while Ali will be getting married this weekend.

Sports / Top Clubs Fumble In Nigerian FA Cup by Werehkpe: 10:46am On Jun 30, 2012
Nigeria Premier League clubs Sunshine Stars, ABS FC and Akwa United are the latest to crash out of the country’s cup competition.

Newly promoted Nasarawa United thrashed 2012 CAF Champions League campaigners Sunshine Stars 3-0 in Lokoja, non-league Dynamite Force edged out Akwa United 2-1, while Crown FC stopped ABS 1-0.

Chairman of Nasarawa United Isaac Danladi told Soccerroomtoday.com he is delighted his team upset Sunshine Stars.

“It was a good game which we played to win and it worked out for us. We didn’t feel inferior. We will take the games as they come,” said Danladi.

Dynamite Force continued their fairy tale run in the competition when they sent packing Akwa United after they had earlier eliminated Nigeria National League side FC Taraba in the previous round.

Akwa had two players, Monday Osagie and Aguda John, sent off in the second half for off-the-ball incidents.

In Keffi, NPL new entrants El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri triumphed over Abia Warriors by a lone goal scored by Bakura via penalty in the battle of the warriors.

Kwara United showed Akpabio FC the exit door with a 2-1 win over the giant killers from Uyo.

Kwara United goals came from Segun Alebiosu and Barnabas Imenger.

Heartland defeated UNICEM Rovers 2-1 in Abuja as NPL leaders Rangers defeated JUTH FC of Jos 2-0 in Katsina-Ala.

Oghogho Oduokpe scored a brace for Rangers within the first five minutes due to defensive blunders.

JUTH FC coach Audu Isa Pele said that his defence was to blame for the loss.

He said, “It was a game we approached to win but the early errors in our defence that led to the goals were regrettable. Apart from the goals they scored, we played better and deserved to win but that is football.”

“JUTH gave a good account of themselves, but we’re on track for a league and cup double,” Rangers assistant coach Monday Osagie revealed

The other Enugu State flag bearers Samba defeated Canaan City 1-0 courtesy of a 70th minute goal by Jeremiah Favour.

Warri Wolves defeated NNL side Spotlite 4-3 on penalties after scores were tied at 1-1 in regulation time.

2012 Federation Cup Results

Sports / England Can’t Win 2014 World Cup – Shearer by Werehkpe: 12:54pm On Jun 28, 2012
Former England captain Alan Shearer claims the national team stands no chance of winning the 2014 World Cup.

England were sent packing in the Euro 2012 quarter-finals by Italy on penalties in June, after normal and extra time finished goalless.

Roy Hodgson’s men offered little from an attacking sense on Sunday and Shearer said he had no delusions of the Three Lions’ capabilities in Brazil in 2014.

“I don’t attach any blame to Roy Hodgson,” Shearer told BBC Sport.

“But I don’t go along with the idea England go home with their heads held high.

“It’s no good sitting here saying we will win the World Cup in two years’ time. The reality is we will not.”

England booked a place in the knockout phases, having topped Group D and drew plaudits for their improved performances at the championships in Poland and Ukraine.

And Hodgson received praise from Germany manager Joachim Loew, who claimed “England will develop under him in the next few years.”

But Shearer offered a much more candid assessment of England, claiming there needs to be a change in the country’s culture, starting with coaches.

“We have got to get out of the habit of going to tournaments thinking we can win it. This tournament has proven that. We need a change in culture and to be fair to the FA they are trying to change things now,” he said.

“It’s going to take time to put these systems in place. Our league is the best in the world for entertainment but only because it is full of foreigners.”

Sports / Nigerian FA Denies Contract With Saintfiet by Werehkpe: 12:47pm On Jun 28, 2012
The Nigeria Football Federation have maintained they have not signed a contract with Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet as the country’s technical director.

The appointment of Saintfiet has generated a lot of reactions after the country’s minister of sports Bolaji Abdullahi asked the NFF to jettison the idea of employing the Belgian coach.

NFF media committee chairman Emeka Inyama told Soccerroomtoday.com, “We don’t have any contractual agreement with Saintfiet.

“We only announced that we have resolved to give him the job. No papers were signed, no contract was entered into and as such we have no reason to say we are sacking him.”

On March 28, 2012, Inyama addressed a world press conference announcing that the 38-year-old Belgian has been handed a four-year contract with a $20,000 monthly salary.

However, the NFF have failed in their effort to secure a work permit for the former Ethiopia and Namibia coach. It is now believed the job will be given to a local man.
