I , personally , will go out of my way to support a colleague I believe is being victimised . I don't know why any sensible person should believe that this notion should not apply to politicians also. How did u sound to yourself when u read this self indicting crap u wrote? Now dont let me dig up all the nonsensical things u wrote over the Bode George saga. Hide yoirself small abeg, we already know u're a hypocrite, u dont have to rub it on our faces! |
^^^ You just cant hide your hypocrisy can you? You mean u see nothing wrong in a serving state governor brazenly showing open support to a man standing trial for corruption? Has ethnic affiliation so irredeemably numbed your sense of objectivity such that suddenly our resident Puritan sees nothing wrong with exalting the devil? Truth is u can only hide your true self for a while, but the walls wld adually crumble around you till we end up staring at our long hidden closet bigot! |
afam4eva:How will they attain 1 second class upper in those schools when they wont sort through their noses, write exams without receiving lettures and pay for hotel rooms to get bunked by seventy something year old men that can barely stand on their feet? People paying the tithes are not complaining yet all these stingy heathens no go let person hear word yet they are falling over themselves to send their wards to the so called scam schools. Tomorrow you'll hear that one babalawo wants to sue Covenant uni for rejecting his son. Mtschewww |
“There are things Fashola knows, which little minds in Lagos PDP do not know. Fashola appeared at CCT as a lawyer and not as the Governor of Lagos State. That is why he sat where the SANs sat. “This is a joke right? Do I need to be a SAN to see that criminality is being endorsed? Clowns you guys are . |
Have it in mind that the Glo Co packages all come with data restrictions. its 100mb for co day and abt 1 gig for coweek, not sure about the data for comonth though but I believe the package is fair and the best around though data speed fluctuates between 120kb to as slow as 15kbz, it all depends. |
playmode:And dont you sound like an ediot even to yourself? talk true. |
Revolutnz:After registering on the 27th of Sept with 33posts you already know this much about Beaf? Why am I not surprised at your conclusion afterall a dumb oaf like you with multiple identities is still struggling to get your opinion across. |
ajadek:LIRS is the state revenue service responsible for Personal income taxes of residents of the state and 'Enterprises' while the FIRS is responsible for taxes from all registered companies and federal taxes from individuals. You need both set of clearances from the LIRS (personal tax clearance) and FIRS (Company tax clearance) the tax you pay in Lagos to the FIRS covers your company throughout the nation while your Personal income tax remitted to the Lagos state government shows you've been paying your taxes in your state of residence - Just in case. |
@Lagerwhenin doubt, Bros what you've got is an RC No. Which is a six digit number on the top left hand of your certificate of incorporation. You need to visit an FIRS office to get your TIN No. @Cypost, You do not necessarily need a consultant to get a TIN no. If their network isnt acting up, you can get it within 24hrs but could take as much as a week when things arent going well. All you have to do is to make a formal application and tender your original cert(for sighting) TIN is FREE just like BAIL IS FREE! Lol, those officers never stop giving you suggestive stares but you can always ignore them. Some ITO's require that you also register for VAT and open a FILE so hiring a consultant may be inevitable. |
ifyalways:No you didnt pay 160k for a TIN No! Perhaps you've got it mixed up, it's inconceivable that you'd pay 10k for a Tax identification number not to speak of over a hundred. Mind you TIN generation is free! This is why i have a problem with individuals visiting tax offices; you're game period. I still think it wasnt just a TIN you got anyway, maybe the company had issues and its history had to be wiped and a new one generated for you or you actually paid for a new tax clearance certificate, if not then you have a genuine Police case if you can prove it. |
sylve11:I dont quite get you esp your reference to WHT taxes. However here's what i can deduce. The fact that the tax is coming from the state means it's probably about Personal income tax deductions for workers of the company. He probably hasnt been remitting deductions or has failed to deduct them at all. There's room for appeal but the state tax authority has all the cards if he has failed to make remissions for the period. |
Very good piece. Nice to read a foreigner wrting something generally positive about this country. Thanks for sharing. |
Very sad but very true without an iota of exaggeration. Warri has become a pretty depressing city with nothing going for it but without attempting to hold brief for Uduaghan and the hopeless LG Chairmen around the city, i have to say the government seem to be at a loss as to how to treat the City. It no doubt deserves to be treated and catered for like a state capital, but the problem is; There's already one! With so much attention usually paid to the seat of govt, it is really no surprise that a governor who's got his priorities all wrong is paying little attention to the city. |
It doesn't matter if the businessLet me point out that Tax inspectors seldom ask for bank accounts for companies collecting their first TC within the first 18months of incorporation but usually rely on the TIN No. to determine whether a company has commenced or not especially when your nature of biz has to do with contracts and involves Witholding taxes. It is usually more convenient for inspectors to demand for the payment of a POL levy than to start scrutinizing an infant company. There's really no hiding place with the introduction of the new TIN as the system captures all activities concerning your company so any false declaration in your accounts or submission would be disastrous. There's a whole load to say concerning this biz of tax issuance and collection and I hope questions roll in. |
begwong:What you need is a Personal income tax clearance which can only be issued by your state's tax board. You can only deal with the FIRS if you work with the forces(police, army etc) or are a federal worker. There's a provision for unemployed folks but you've got to prove it cos there's usually a flat rate for those earning below a certain amount. lagerwhenindoubt:The guy was actually being lenient by asking for just 200k! You have to realize the number of laws you've broken to appreciate the amount you're bein charged. You failure to register for VAT alone and file monthly returns for the period would have racked up more than that amount not to speak of your non rendering of Áccount for the period. There's always a chance you might meet someone lenient but the law has u on this one and u're at their mercy. BTW, are you sure what u've got is a TIN no? They NEVER come with the CAC documents but have to be applied for separately at your DOMICILED tax office. |
@Pukkah TB Joshua is neither an analyst nor a commentator he's a PROPHET and only says what is revealed to him so dont expect him to proffer a solution. Just like King Hezekiah in the Good Book received a message from a Prophet and had to work out his salvation, the onus is on us to find a solution to a disaster that has been forseen. Remeber Pharoah and Joseph in the Bible? Did the solution come from God? There's a verse in the Bible that says it is Gods way to conceal a thing but the glory of kings to discover the hidden (paraphrased). The wise man wld listen and take heed but a foool wld ignore. |
@Beaf, Maybe you've not been paying attention cos i'm yet to see one that hasnt come to pass, and about specificity, he's been absolutely spot on! From Jackson's death to Nigeria's qualification for the world cup to her outster (Yes, that's when i started paying attention) to the series of bombings late last year to the postponement of elections, Steve job's death and a whole lot more i'm not even aware of, he's been spot on - take it from a sceptic who's religious inclination frowns at such kind of prophecies, ignore TB Joshua at your own peril. You dont have to believe him, but do not ignore him. Will narrate what completely changed my view in favour of prophecies in a moment if i can make out some time. |
^^^ It isnt just about this particular prophecy but his entire prophecies past and present. The question is do we understand the SCALE of the problem ahead? Do you? It is one thing to claim to be smart and guess the future based on current trends and another to stick out your neck and make a bold statement about the future. I honestly do not understand people any longer, how can a man that has been proven right so many times be dismissed so casually? Imagine the scorn and abuse he's had to endure for speaking things that have eventually come to pass yet people still dismiss him every time he opens his mouth to speak. It just keeps amazing me, how can people be so stiffnecked? |
^^^ My friend just SHUT UP! You sound like one of those brainwashed Iranian TV presenters. It is one thing to point out US hypocrisy and another thing entirely to blame them for all the troubles of the world and pin every single action down to some ulterior motive. Imagine saying they gave Sirleaf the Nobel to incur favour! You really are sick, what has the Nobel prize got to do with the US? I hope your parents have reported you to the US embassy? Na like dis Abdumutallab take start o! |
Hypocrisy and a political statement but certainly nothing borne out of pure concern for Africans. With the slash in US military spending of which Africom budget is taking a huge blow, this is just a move to appease the African concerns in the US while actually doing nothing at all. If they were serious, this mission would have been discrete and their mission would be more direct and combative but here they are advertising an advisory mission and expectin accolades. Obama is definitely not African and he's barely black and i'm glad the euphoria of the so called African - American president is now a thing of the past. |
^^^ Ever questioning but never learning, what's that illness called? @Topic, it definitely is your Father's place, while you may be accepted according to your maternal roots, your rights are very much limited. All those place of birth and residence do not mean a thing, all people want to know is where your father's from. |
Ololololo, Oturugbeke. Professor Kobo wants to see it herself so she can determine whether or not he truly deserved a Phd. Gej is in trouble! Somebody pls give him a heads up. I swear Jonathan is about to finally have a reason to resign! Bros go answer question till he frustrate. Nsogbu (Trouble) |
Did they even have to? Only the usual forum 'Dumb Vultures' believed it anyway. Vultures will remain Vultures and will always feed on carcasses, their very existence and relevance depends on it. |
^^^ That's less than 10% after WHT deductions to the FG so ; Your bad! Try 'Nigeria on the rise'. |
Ogun State on the rise.
That all you noticed in the article? Yeye dey smell! |
Funny we fail to appreciate the role of our religious leaders but these men (at least the big four) apart from selling the Nigerian brand are also doing something we've been unable to achieve after decades of promoting ordinary Tourism - 'Religous Tourism'. You'd be amazed at the number of foreigners from all parts of the world trooping into this country on religious grounds! Without having a Mecca or a Jerusalem, I'm certain Ngr would be proud if the figures are compiled. South Africa and the East African nations have the scenery, India has got 'Medical Tourism' the West - well they've got everything so why dont we appreciate what we've got? |
comprende:Hehehehe! Funny as hell. BTW what's your knicker worth? |
@Gbawe, Pipe down abeg, if it has suddenly become too difficult to live without power you can move to one of those countries you spent your 12day tour, at least it would help put your BP in check. The power problem in Ngr didnt start today and only those blind to progress will fail to acknowledge the fact that gains are being made allbeit modestly. What's important is that we are back on track, it may not translate immediately to your having regular power in your Surulere home, but we are still making progress nevertheless so please do us all a favour and spare us your bile, you r no use to us as a vegetable! |
Eko Ile:See how dis one dey talk like one better person. Abeg comot for my front make i see road jare. |
So I'm back after a successful appeal. Sincere apologies to Blank if i sounded sort of crass. Nuff said, lets go there. |
Thanks a lot OAM4, I've been unbarred thanks to you. Thanks also to Muki for being considerate. Lesson learnt, lets go there. |
blank:Oh really? So how did you arrive at the conclusion below? blank:I thot your Fada was the one that answered Yesssssir when he dished out the instruction? Ok I get it now; It was your Boyfriend, Right? |
