hi guys,

I thank everyone who have been contributing here .

Pls i have a question.

Am a sponsored student as my uncle is sponsoring my education. At this juncture, i intend including my wife to my application as my dependant.

Can ones uncle sponsor a married nephew and his wife.

My friends over there are suggesting i come with my wife.

Is it advisable ??

Regards...
What visa category are you lodging your application for?
For SVP (streamline) you won't need to show a bank statement on submition but if your case officer does request, it's alright for your uncle to stand in as your sponsor.
It's also advisable you apply by yourself first and bring in your family after a month or two. And yes your uncle can stand as her sponsor too (He must be loaded thou).

Please House What's The Best Way To Package Food Stuff Down To Australia....I Intend To Carry Tapioca,Bread Fruit(ukwa),Dried Fish And Melon Seed(Egusi) huh
You may bring in as much food as you can but MAKE SURE you don't bring in seeds of any kind i.e. unblended egusi and endeavor to DECLARE it on your incoming passenger card. Infact check any question you don't understand as yes and make sure you pack your bag yourself. If asked by border protection, say you are not sure of the question that was why you ticked YES. You may be delayed but it is worth it at the end.

As long as you declare, you will not be fined but whatever food that is not allowed will be confisticated.
You may not be able to get those food you enjoy eating here so therefore its worth the try.

Am not sure about getting certified by Engineers Australia. I have a mate who came in on a subclass 476, did an NBN course and now works as a design emgineer with a company here.

You may want to contact Engineers Australia on:

Engineering House
11 National Circuit
Barton ACT 2600
Australia

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm AEDST
Phone: +61 2 6270 6555
Toll Free: 1300 653 113
Fax: +61 2 6273 1488

Am pretty sure they will be willing to educate you more.

Between, try to get a job related to your field of study as your company will be able to sponsor you for further work visa unless you choose to apply for your PR before your visa elapsed.

Thanks for your insight.

Just another quick question.

Must i get an assessment from EA (Engineers Australia) before been employed as an engineer?

And if I an assessed by EA under mechanical engineer occupation, can i work as engineer in other engineering discipline; say project engineer or maintenance engineer.
Sydney, Melbourne or Northern Territory if you can stand the heat in summer.
You should be fine finding a job in your field as long as you have years of experience under your belt. Meanwhile do not fail to include your visa grant number and date you intend to arrive Australia in your resume.

Hello, pls i am coming to australia but looking ways to settle down quickly and get a job ASAP.

I have an 18 months working visa, Skilled graduate migration visa (subclass 476). I hope to get a professional job but won't mind a casual job for a start to keep me going first. I am a mechanical engineer by training.

Please, advice the best city to come to and how to settle in quickly. Ultimately, I look forward to applying for PR during my stay. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if there are any direct primary cum secondary school employers here?

I reside in Australia and posses a BSc, MSc in Multimedia Technology and Information Technology respectively. I will be returning home for 2-3months and was thinking of organizing a seminar / workshop for educators in schools that will be interested in my service.

The theme of the seminar will "Implementing ICTs in Classrooms" It will focus on helping educators see the huge split between digital natives vs digital immigrants. In addition to that they will learn how to effectively implement technology in there curricula.

The paramount benefit
here is:
Both educators and students will enjoy teaching and learning respectively.

In the workshop, I will teach you some Microsoft Office softwares (MS Word, Powerpoint, advance Excel), show you some exciting ways of engage your students in class, give you websites that will make your teaching life easier and enjoyable.

Sorry I won't be able to mention everything here. But if your school is interested, I will be happy to send you a proposal and fees quotation.

Send me a private message and I will further furnish you with my contacts.

thanks bro, let me go book my flight jo.. I appreciate a lot, must I buy dollars here or can I make withdrawal with my Mastercard...pls clear me more.
Its best you buy dollar from 9ja. Your Nigerian bank charges you for using the master/visa card and the Australian Bank ATM charges you extra $2-$3.

The cheapest way of-course is bringing your $$$ from 9ja, hence you can't have more than $10,000 on you. And must declare on your form upon arrival at the airport (Immi & Boarder Protection)

For safety reasons, you may want to consider withdrawing when you are here. (Just consider the charges if it pays you).

Gurus in the house. I need your advise. I got my grant to study two months ago but I couldn't travel because my wife gave birth with some few complications. I had to be with the family (for a year) and support her because of the complications. I informed the school about the situation and they said I cannot defer the research scholarship for a year - I will have to reapply for scholarship if I want to come next year.
I have agree so my COE has been cancelled. I have also informed my case officer about the situation but have not received any feedback from her. Do I have to reapply for study visa if I want to go next year? my study visa is still valid for two and a half years. I need your advise gurus

Regards

Aya
If your COE has been cancelled means you are no longer a student even if you have a current visa.
Your school may have informed the immigration about it and it will be in there system. Traveling to Australia without sorting things out will be at your own detrimental risk.
My little advice will be, reapply for a new COE and submit a fresh application for visa. Include some paper work from the birth of your child the complications around it , letter from your doctor and some photos while lodging a new application.
It wont be long before you are granted.

Hello gurus in the house, please I want to find out how possible it is to change from msc to bsc and if there is any immigration issue.
I am thinking of changing from msc to bsc when I get to Aussie.
I need you assistance on this my matter.
Cheers.
Yes it is possible. I know a friend who had it done at Newie Uni.
You need to provide a compelling reason for your uni to consider.
Let your sponsor write a letter stating that they want you to get a bsc bcause (the field is lucrative and you will benefit yourself and your community when you return home).
Immigration believes your school must have screened you before granting you a new coe for bsc.
The possibility would have been almost impossible if you changing to a different uni after you arrive or changing to a Tafe or college.

No bro. Immigration doesnt really check that. A friend entered a month before his insurance commenced. Don't let that worry you. Just say you want to settle in before school resume. You can always buy a $2 per day insurance card from coles, woolworths or some stores.

submit soa coz its very important
There is no need submitting statement of account unless you are ask by your CO to submit one.

Print out a checklist form and tick the question box that ask if you have sufficient fund for our studies. Most times we complicate things for ourselves. They may find fault in ur bank statement. E.i. limited fund, money lodgement, too much money where did u get it from , false bank statement etc.

Undergraduate/ postgraduate applicants are considered as streamline applicants irrespective of your nationality. If you are applying to tafe or a diploma course you need bankstatement and your chances of landing yourself a visa is slim. Except your diploma has a pathway to a degree course.

Goodluck.

Hello I was wondering if Pretoria usually send acknowledgement for receipt of applications?

I submitted at TLS , received acknowledgement that it is being transferred to Pretoria, but I am yet to receive an acknowledgement from Pretoria, its been about 3 weeks now. svp masters by research
As far as i know, you only get acknowledgement if you applied online. Otherwise you may have to exercise patience until your case officer either request for an additional document(s) or grant you a visa.
The processing time for a student visa is one (1) month.

Hello house , I was yesterday offered admission into Charles Sturt university for a PGD programme. The school not fully satisfied with my documents wrote this "
Dear Partner
Congratulations! I am pleased to advise that your application has been successful. Please find the CONDITIONAL OFFER document attached for your review and acceptance.

Kindly note the following:
-Student mentioned on Student Financial form that he will be partial self funded. In this case, provide the financial documents.
-The financial documents from sponsor are too blur, please provide clearer copies. Please note that funds need to stay in account for a minimum of 3 months in order to be accepted. Please also provide relationship proof between sponsor and student.
-Please provide a detailed SOP.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, the agent made me understand that the school fees was 17,000 aud but while studying the admission offer, I discovered it was 26,000aud.
Secondly, I remb to have thicked the column that I will be partially sponsored even when the agent nd I know I was using an uncle's bank statement. I expected her to have gone through my forms to correct such errors. This would ve impeded the current demand for my own financial details as I ve already indicated my uncle as a sponsor.

3) The financial documents from sponsor re too blur so they need clearer copies.

4) The sponsor doesn't bear same last name as myself so they said they need proof of relationship.
My sponsor's account holds only 5 million which period of stay isn't upto 1 month even, so they re saying the funds needs to stay in the account for 3 months in order to be accepted.
This statement of account issue really gave me real trouble Cus I kept meeting Frnds whom I thought would ve atleast 5m as their bank balance but that wasn't the case as I ended up transfering 2million to the account of my sponsor just to see that he releases his statement of account to me.

With the school fees no longer 17,000 aud but now 26k aud, does it mean my bank balance will increase?

Will I ve to convince my sponsor to leave the Money in his account for another 3 months before applying for visa?

How best do I proof that I ve relationship tie with my sponsor?

Can I get any affordable univ with tuition fee within 17k aud- 20k aud for a PGD programme.

Pls advise me.

Uniqlo is a Japanese company and they sell less cheaper than their sister company in Australia. In Akihabara, Japan, electronics are sold cheap unlike in Australia.

Most of the best running and office shoes are made in Vietnam and cost abou $60-$100 while in australia same shoes and quality cost $150- $300. In quanzhou, china nice T-shirt are sold for $5-$10 while even lesser quality ones are sold for $30-$60.
I hope that explains while it makes sense to buy while one is on a trip.

Its usually advisable you leave a week or two ealier to settle in before school commences. Sort ur accommodation, familiarize urself with public transport if u do b needing it.
Securing accommodation isn't easy except school is providing you one. Even with your money, agent will still knock you back.

You can come in a month (if you like) before school commences, immigration doesn't really look at that. If they ask just saw you want to settle in before resumption date. Worse scenario na to buy $50 two weeks health cover.

I doesn't really matter if they ask you for a bank statement or not. You have already filled the acceptance form and have checked the question that ask if you can support your studies here which in fact makes it a legal document.
When you no pay your tuition fees na then (Newie Uni lawyer go play you the music of d dead) wey go lead u to local court of d hands of immiga (immigration).
