SSpeter: you are wrong and do not understand what he wrote...you invest 200k USD which is 72m in Naira @360 as at today the value of the investment is 200million Naira; however Naira has devalued from 360-1500 against the dollar. Hence, the real estate worth is 200million/1500naira which gives you 133k USD the guy has lost almost 67k USD in that investment I think you're correct. I recalculated the figures, and discovered he's correct. I think the problem in Nigeria is beginning to have a negative effect my medulla oblongata, Lol |

I respect and like Wike, however, here are a few things wey fit happen to minister wey non know he work!
The public can pressure him to resign voluntarily or be removed from office by the head of state or relevant governing body due to public outcry, or a lack of confidence from within the government. A vote of no confidence can be initiated by the legislature, leading to the removal of the minister from office. If there are allegations of wrongdoing or incompetence, an investigation may be launched to assess the minister's performance. If any illegal activities or serious breaches are found, legal actions may be taken. If citizens express dissatisfaction with the minister's performance, etc |

These people are also backed by powerful men in power to have rejected almost 30 million naira, it means they are well funded and want to stay in business for a long time. Everyone must exercise caution to stay alive this period. These so called kidnappers are not mere bandits, they are terrorists and should be acknowledged as such. This terminology is important for all security agencies in Nigeria to fully understand the gravity of the situation and strategize on how to eradicate them from society. |

You dont want people to see you as a nobody.
Well i can not judge you, all i can tell you is.... You're wasting your gift.
Lying is a gift.
You dont know how to use it.
The world is ruled by liars... Heavy dirty liars.
From politicians to pastors to parents. Everyone lies.
The only difference is, you're unwise for lying broke.
Why not use a well crafted lie to get a fat salary job
Why not use it to bed a lady from a rich home or a sugar mommy
Why not use it to borrow 10k from 100 people that you know and become a millionaire and start uber business or any other one.
Why not use the lying gift to be a smooth talking comedian.
Lie Sells
Lie is a spell you cast on people for your benefit.
Many politicians, top executive actually bought their certificates for less than 600k
Beggars on the road are liars and act blind or cripple or worse to appeal to your emotions.
You're just wasting a precious gift.
Receive sense today The only thing that distinguishes we humans from animals is our ability to lie. You, my friend, are an undiscovered genius, and I sense that you have a wealth of knowledge from extensive reading. Only a few wise individuals will get your point. |
Family › Re: How Do You Deal With Toxic Parents by WhiteWood: 10:22pm On Jan 10, 2024 |
Klass99: Nigerian parents? You had me laughing out loud at this. Naija parents are some of the most boundary crossing and disrespectful set of people I have ever come across.
They act like they own you/your life because they gave birth to you, they are quick to use emotional and spiritual blackmail to manipulate you into doing what they want. They love the scripture of honour thy mother and father but have no memory of the one which says do not provoke your children to anger.
I recently tried to talk to my mom about something hurtful she did a long time ago, that brings back unpleasant memories and feelings, because I saw her doing it again with the two girls who are at home with her and really helping them out (she and popsie)
I didn't get far before the conversation escalated into a shouting match, because she's never open to allowing you have your say or speak your truth (let me talk like these GenZ baddies ) She started saying I shouldn't accuse her, we are always accusing her of one thing or the other.
I got pissed off, kept my mouth shut and started pressing my phone while we sat in silence. After a few minutes she started telling a roundabout story with no relevance to the issue or topic at hand, to try and justify herself and make me feel bad for.calling her out. I was having none of it, manipulation hardly works on me.
Another day she was doing something she used to do where I was concerned but with regards to the two girls. I told her to please stop it, these girls are not children they are grown women, she should recognize and respect that while allowing them to breathe. That conversation was also escalating into another shouting match with her saying the same things as before i.e. I accuse her of things, what do I know, I was young, she was almost attacked and killed during a communal clash while bringing me home from boarding school one day etc.
Are you seeing how manipulative some mothers in particular can be, what did any of that have to do with what we were talking about? She is always trying to guilt trip me into feeling bad that she did this and did that for me, I shouldn't be calling her out or rather accusing her of things like she puts it.
I can't and won't cut off my parents ever, in spite of their shortcomings they were and are good parents, who did right, did good and did well by me. They are not maliciously toxic but they can say or do things that are hurtful, and when they provoke me to anger enough, dem dey collect through a cold silent treatment. Where calls and texts go unanswered until I feel ready to engage with them, I did it one time for a month and they started calling my siblings to complain, two called me to say please talk to them.
I told my favourite sibling they don't have the monopoly of rude/disrespectful behaviour, I can be just as rude and disrespectful. I will engage when I am ready to, not before then or because they want me to. And also, they behave as if their children requested to be born. |

I commend the Nigerian police force for their prompt intervention in rescuing the victims from the kidnappers. However, I found the excessive screaming and unnecessary talk during the operation to be very unprofessional. Such heightened emotions and prolonged communication by the police can potentially cause distractions that may lead to unfortunate consequences, even deaths. |

egobetter4me: I know a lot of you will blame me after reading this and even want to curse me, but this is my sad story and I just want to put it out there for people to learn. Don't ever let your parents decide your partner for you. Even if you have to run away, do it.
I recently got married to an ugly, short, black, smelly, village girl. At first my uncle took me to see her, then we spoke and she came visiting. All these happened in the village.
When I went back to the city, I told my mom I wasn't interested in her any more, but she insisted I must marry her. My mom would always take my joy by telling me about the girl anytime she sees me happy. There was no breathing space. We live together and I pay the rent. I loved her so much that I could do anything for her. She once sold her wrappers/materials and jewelleries, to send me money for school fees.
Anytime she tries to talk to me about the girl, I will beg her and let her understand that young people like to marry who they truly love. I don't want her, I don't love her and I don't think I will ever will. After all said and done, she still insisted, so I called my elder bro to come talk to her. He came in from another state and spoke with my mom for hours. She did as if she would allow me marry my choice, just for my brother to go. Immediately my brother left, she started again.
My mom has BP. She stopped using her medication and was ailing. she threatened that if she dies, that I killed her. I thought to myself, that if she truly dies, I might live with the regrets for the rest of my life. I really tried but I was defeated. I succumbed. But before marrying the girl, I spoke to her(the girl) that I don't love her and that I'm marrying her against my wish, but I guess she was desperate. She said I shouldn't worry, that the love would grow in the marriage.
We got married. She lives with me and my mom. Even my neighbours were disappointed in me, when they saw her. Church members and friends were all disappointed. I can't start narrating to them how I got here.
We are over a year gone now and she still irritates me. I so much hate to look at her. We've had sex only about 5 times or so and I have to get high to do this. I only kissed her once(at the alter and I cringed)
I cry everyday.....both at home and while hustling. I never envisaged my life to be like this. I had hoped to meet a beautiful, clean and well mannered graduate from the city. Someone I would truly love and she would love me too. I'd hoped that I would meet her, approach her and we start as friends, then lovers, then I would propose and all. I never planned for it to be like this.
I am so sad with my life. Right now, I'm thinking of applying for masters abroad and probably use the means to Japa and never come back again.
My life is so miserable!
Learn from me. Don't ever let your parents blackmail you into marrying someone you don't love. Pls don't. Just run away for months or few years and they will leave you alone. . |
