Hello guys
I believe you're all doing well..

Please I need help..

I have a HND and I was planning on a PGD in Canada but I got discourage considering the number of denials that Canada issues..

Now I have decided to do a top up program in UK but have been told that it's also difficult to proceed for masters after getting a top up degree in UK..

I'm really confused on what to do at the moment

Please I need your suggestions

Thank you.
while i disagree with the notion that its difficult to proceed to masters level after top up, i suggest you go online and make your masters applications yourself. give it a try, you might be lucky cos i believe with HND, you can be offered admission for masters in some schools.
NB: I am not 100% sure, i believe a trial wont affect you in any way. and you wont even pay application fees sef

I totally understand you, and I really appreciate your responses. The challenge now is moving to to my personal account would definitely mean I have to wait another 28 days, and that I definitely wont meet up on the last day of visa issue date. for context, 4 million out of the 7m there is definitely for my education. The combined acount statement actually exceeds the finanical requirements. The rest of the required funds is my personal account.
Does the account also carry your name?
Is your name boldly written on the account statement?
Can you sign on the account?
Can the bank issue you a reference letter, stating you have rights and access to the money in the joint account?
Can you alone withdraw on the account as per the signing instructions on the account?
In my own opinion, I feel you should check the questions above and be convinced within yourself

NB: This is solely your call, and the decision is solely yours to take.

The best approach however, still remains you transfer the money into your account and WAIT!!!!
Talking about deadlines, if you dont do your due diligence, you might still have to wait if refused
so weigh your options very well.................

Hi folks,

Any ideas what next step I should take? Looks like I'm beginning to lose my patience. Here's my timeline:

Sept. 5: Applied for PRIORITY visa
Sept. 8: Did biometrics at Abuja TLS
Sept. 11: Got decision mail
Up till now (15 days after biometrics), nothing else. Tracker is still on Level 3: Application at DMC

I have written to UKVI and called them with their humongous paid service, and all I get is the generic response that they can confirm that a decision has been made and that I should wait till TLS contacts me to come for my passport. How much longer, they can't comment on that, they say.

Has anyone had this kind of experience? How do I handle this? The wait is frustrating...

Thanks.

cc: justwise, mimilyrics, everyone
if you are not far from the centre, why not go there and check?
someone said a lot of passports are just there in TLS waiting to be picked up.
I think the person mentioned Abuja TLS.....................(seems that's their way of life......lol)
a decision mail from the 11th is too far, you should have gotten your passport back
go there and check
All the best.

Just keep tracking on DHL website, it gives real time information of your passport. Since its still weekday, it shouldn't be more than 48hrs.

Help pls
My study visa was denied in Jan because of I mentioned my funny immigration history in d US to them... Not criminal though., and not banned.
Now my wife is applying. Is UK embassy going to link my wife's application to mine whose application wasn't granted recently? Do they normally link spouses application to each other by names and documents submitted to them? Any help pls? Esp experience or knowledge please
Please what do you mean by 'FUNNY IMMIGRATION HISTORY'? like saying you mentioned your US immigration history and you were denied visa simply because of that?

Hello Seniors
please i need advice on how best to tackle my case
I am the main applicant for a tier 4 visa, i have 3 dependants ( an infant, child and spouse)
*How best can we push in applications?
I would have loved to apply alone with my infant (which i cant leave behind) but seems that wont work without the spouse.
*Heard people applying with dependants are usually drilled thoroughly and are even asked why they want to travel with family since they are going to school.
*Please has anyone crossed this hurdle before? I need help.

Goodmorning. Please Is it possible to use a Pounds account in UK to apply for students visa from Nigeria? Let me ask it this way, a friend is a tier 4 dependant to her husband, married and with kids. She want to go back to Nigeria and apply for her own tier 4 visa using her pounds account in UK for maintenance fees.
Thanks
My brother inlaw is a Tier 4 dependant and he has gotten his admission for his MSC......
And i'm very certain he's not planning to come to Nigeria for his application. He plans to only make a SWITCH
I do not think she needs to travel down for her application
She should make further inquiries...........

You cannot make either of them your official sponsor
Read online - the UK Gov website and see who qualifies to be an official sponsor

I want to know can my cousins that bears same surname with me use his bank statement as proof of fund. one is at left UK for Canada last year ending and the other is at US. your kind response would be appreciated.
NO!!!
If you are making an application, read the guidelines stated on the HO website
These same guidelines have been stated on the first page of this thread

Your sponsors should be your parents or OFFICIAL sponsors. Let them move the funds to your account.............

This is my situation now:
I applied for may and the Northumbria university for msc. Cyber security and they gave me a conditional offer but i want do deffer it for September to be eligible for the Postgraduate work permit.

Meanwhile, i waited for response from them on the my may offer which took upto 3 weeks. While waiting I reapplied again for September in same school and same course.

Should I meet the conditions of the may offer and differ it for September? Or
Should i wait for the September offer and fulfill the conditions ?

Which is better ?
Please give me your view....
my view and what i would do if i were in your shoes..............
I would meet my conditions and push for a deferral.
Im sure you would be considered first cos you have an offer already

Note that a lot of people have already pushed in their applications, once you send yours, you are most likely going to be on queue and nobody knows what is going to happen next

Your marriage can be anywhere as long as it is a valid certificate... no embassy can dictate to citizens of another country where to marry

Regarding the rules for their 4 Visa. No child can apply without the two parents applying or else the child will be rejected. There are some special circumstances but anything special is always hard to prove so the easier route will be for a child to apply when the two parents are ready
Thank you
I told her the same thing too but she argued that its ONLY Ikoyi certificates that can be confirmed as they register all marriages online.
I was then wondering if the embassy actually confirms certificates, that if they do, a lot of those who didnt go to ikoyi would have been denied simply because thy wouldnt have been able to confirm their certificate.

good day everyone
please i need clarifications as regards my case
I would be applying for tier 4 visa along side my infant (less than 4months old) very soon
There has however been series of debate about one parent applying with child
Please advice me, Must i apply with my spouse alongside the child?
or I can apply alone with the baby with consent letter in place?

Secondly, must my marriage certificate (for proof of marriage) be from Ikoyi? Someone said it has to be from Ikoyi registry and i didnt go there for my registry
please help

You really don't need any international license to drive in the UK, your regular valid Naija licence will suffice.
Thank you so much
would make do with my regular driving licence then

Dear Nursing applicants,
Here is a list of questions I was asked during my interview before the admission:
*I was asked about my personal experience, as stated in my Personal statement
*I was given case studies and asked few questions based on that. (How I would react in such situation)
*I was asked to talk about a time i had an argument with someone
*I was asked about leadership qualities and how well I have performed in such role (based on my CV)

Someone else I got know was asked different questions, like
*A story on why he chose to study nursing (from personal statement)
*Whether he has ever taken care of a sick person or vulnerable person

My advice,
*Please read the NHS policies, the 6Cs of NHS, NHS code and NHS values. These helped me appropriate give answers to the questions
*Read about recent trend in UK Nursing - latest happenings in UK Nursing
*Know your personal statement very well, and if someone else assisted you one way or the other, learn how to personalize it.
*Read about your school and know why you chose the school. Be interested in the school and know a lot about it

All the best
