Since the start of the war, we've only gotten 24 MRAPs from them to assist the war efforts. We will have to wait till 2024 before we get the 12 super tucanos they are selling to us at extremely inflated prices because they already have the money. They have a drone base in Niger yet they've never used the drones in attacking bokoharam terrorists. And Pakistan is finding it really hard to deliver our JF17.

Its all propaganda. Are they just knowing about bokoharam bases on lake chad islands? He lost over 100 soldiers last week, he needed to boost confidence in him.
But of all our neighbors, only chad seems to be helping us against boko haram. Niger and Cameroon have been inactive for months.
The terrorists are currently evading Chadian troops right now, they will disappear and lay low for a while and after at most 30 days that the offensive would have lost its momentum, they will return to the Battle feild.
But at least they are less dangerous for now with the amount of weapons recovered.

The only help they've provided to us against bokoharam apart from some irrelevant training is donating 24 used MRAPs to us. They openly blocked most of our weapons deal. The aircraft they are selling to us at incredibly inflated prices wont be delivered until 2024. How many years does it take to build just 12 super tucanos?
They tried building a base in Nigeria, they weren't allowed. Or do you think US wouldn't have attempted to build a base in one of the most strategically important countries in Africa?

US and france have drone bases all around us, yet never for once have they attempted to strike bokoharam. There are msny instances where they prevented countries from selling weapons to us because of "human rights abuse". Yet saudi Arabia is their biggest arms importer.

Every politician in the North east is a likely sponsor of bokoharam. I wonder what our intelligence agencies have used the BVN policy for. What have they achieved with it. I'm sure there is presently no account in this Nigeria that isn't linked to a BVN. DSS will be tracing and arresting people who insults and threaten the government and nothing about boko haram sponsors.

You remember when they were taking over our military bases around 2014? The quantity of small arms they carted away is numerous. Countries financing the two factions in libya, both middle eastern a western countries, most of the weapons they provide them eventually find their way to Nigeria through Niger.
We need a five years continous offensive to reduce this insurgency drastically. Untill we start identifying those profiting from this insurgency, it will never be over.
I know of at least two times now that federal government has promised they will release the list of boko haram sponsors. Still nothing to show. We don't even need them to release any list, they should start killing those people silently.

Buhari withdrew $1billion from excess crude account last year to purchase weapons, months after, nothing to show for. Not even rumours of procurement deals. We've been hearing about weapons they've purchased and waiting to be delivered since 2014, only the russians have delivered.
I don't know how hard it is to use drone for aerial reconnaissance of the route they want to patrol before they go on the patrol. I can't remember the last time we saw the wing loong drones in combat. Even our own locally produced drones.
I don't know how hard it will be to close our borders around the lake chad region and then treat every vehicle crossing the border as a threat. The banning of sale of petrol 15km to the bother should be enforced at this particular border region and even extend it to 25km. Anyone buying petrol with more than one jerrican is a suspected terrorist. This should be done in coordination with the countries bodering us. If we deny them fuel to power their gun trucks and enough food, attacks will reduce. How on earth are they even maintaining these gun trucks a d buying spares. Or they don't break down at all.
The rate at which our troops get ambushed shows there are traitors within their ranks. What pains me most is the fact that civilians call these men dying all sort of names from cowards to useless idiots and so on when it is actually their politicians that are failing them. Some even get happy when they see headlines about how so many soldiers died in ambush all so that they can riddicule the military and the government.

We've not seen any action from Niger and Cameroon in months. It had to take the killing of over 90 chadians to get the chadians to go on the offensive. Is it that they are just aware of the Islands on lake chad that these terrorists use?. I'm sure this offensive will last 30 days at most and they are back to defensives. They will abandon the islands and the terrorists who are mostly on evasion right now will just move back in and rebuild with money they get from ransoming people they kidnap. There is no political will to end this insurgency and the soldiers know that. Hence the low morale.
Supposing we are serious, we will invest more on reconnaissance platforms, detect pattern of movements of these insurgents, how they resupply, their cells, where they keep all those gun trucks and other vehicles seized from the military and then call in artillery strikes on anything suspicious. No matter how good the insurgents are in hiding, there will be things that will give their locations out.

His death came on the heels of the decision by Lebanese authorities to exert pressure on the head of the military court to release Israeli collaborator Amer al-Fakhoury. Al-Fahkoury was then delivered to the US embassy and smuggled out of the country. The implicit message seems obvious: if the Lebanese authorities want to deal with former Israeli collaborators in this way, other Israeli collaborators will pay the price. Targets are many and vulnerable. So who could be behind the assassination?
Antoine Hayek (58-year-old) was born east of Sidon and joined the Lebanese Police at the age of 20. He retired with the grade of Chief Warrant Officer and opened a small grocery in the same area. During the 1982 Israeli occupation of Lebanon, he followed Amer al-Fakhoury and worked under his command at the Kiyam detention camp. Hayek was accused of throwing a bomb inside a cell during the prisoners’ uprising of the 25thof November 1989, killing two members of the resistance: Bilal al-Samman and Ibrahim Abou al-Iz. Hayek was also nicknamed “Voltage 66” for his hobby of torturing prisoners with high electric voltage in sensitive parts of the body. The pro-Israeli officer had a record of preventing the Red Cross and humanitarian NGOs from visiting prisoners–who never faced trial and were all under detention for resisting the Israeli occupation of Lebanon. In 2001, a year after the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, Hayek surrendered to Lebanese authorities. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In 2006, Hezbollah and the Free Patriotic Movement signed a memorandum of understanding whereby both parties agreed (article 6) to ease the return of Lebanese collaborators with Israel. So why was Hayek, a Christian collaborator with Israel, assassinated?

The release of Amer Fakhoury was a serious breach of the 2006 memorandum agreement. If those who want to protect the Christians who collaborated with Israel had respected the agreement, they would not have pushed Commander of the Armed Forces Joseph Aoun to release Fakhoury. Aoun did everything in his power to corner the head of the military court, General Hussein al-Abdallah, and obtain the release of Fakhoury. Abdallah is also to blame for succumbing to pressure. He could have resigned, but instead, he yielded to the Army chief’s wishes and ordered Fakhoury’s release. General Abdallah wants to retire abroad. He was thus vulnerable to coercion by the US embassy, who threatened to add him to the US list of terrorists.

General Abdallah, a Shia, deferred to his commanding officer’s wishes, even though the military court enjoys immunity. Abdallah was nominated by the Speaker Nabih Berri, who is capable of protecting him.
The Lebanese Army is afraid of losing US military assistance. But looking closely at US support, we might wonder why the Lebanese Army needs to carry an M4 carabine (short and light NATO assault rifle) and not the usual M16 rifle, comparable to the Ak-47 Kalashnikov that Lebanese warehouses are full of. The Lebanese Army maintains domestic checkpoints and doesn’t need a variety of light weapons. Furthermore, when the US offered a dozen Hellfire missiles to help the Lebanese Army fight al-Qaeda, the US military attaché imposed a rule that no missile would be fired without foreknowledge of his office. The US military officer refused a request to target and eliminate Abu Malik al-Tal, the al-Qaeda Emir in Arsal – because he was fighting against Hezbollah. It is not possible to build a resistant society in Lebanon when many politicians are pro-American and subservient to the US’s will and dominance. It is unacceptable for any Lebanese official to have allowed the US embassy to violate the Lebanese court order by illegally smuggling Amer al-Fakhoury out of the country.
US military support to the Lebanese Army is delivered free of charge but is much too costly. The military training the US offers Lebanese officers is a prestige course designed to recruit officers and offer them financial benefits; it is not training they can use to defend the country. Lebanon is not allowed to stand up to Israel and its officers lack the military capacity to oppose the Israeli army. In any case, Lebanon is not allowed to fight Israel and the Army is not permitted to receive any game-changing weapons that would represent a danger to the continuous Israeli violations of Lebanese territory, by sea, land, and air.

What did the US do to support Lebanon that would lead its politicians to abide by its demands? Did the US offer any financial aid during the Lebanese economic crisis? Or any help in fighting the Coronavirus? All the US does is impose more sanctions on the Lebanese, and threaten to add more Lebanese to its list of terrorists. In what concerns the “Axis of the Resistance”, all its key members are on the US list, and this American administration certainly won’t leave office before adding many more Lebanese to the list, including many unconnected to Hezbollah. In this context, why should Joseph Aoun, Commander of the Army, respond to US whim and fancies?
Many Lebanese have no sense of loyalty to the country, and foreign forces control many Lebanese politicians. Hezbollah may have made a serious mistake in not capitalising on its victories over Israel, ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria and Iraq. These victories could have been leverage for serious political change, marginalizing pro-US players in Lebanon.

In Lebanon, the Axis of Resistance no longer looks upon its political enemies as opponents but as enemies. The Lebanese constitution should be re-written so that every community is represented in accordance with its actual size. Otherwise, it will be impossible to shape a society of resistance, and the US will continue to exert dominance over many Lebanese.

US deployed 326, 863 soldiers duringthe korean war. Allied with several other countries, they lost.

Yes it is true that they complain a lot to get more funding, but it is also true that it is a criminal offence to lie to congress as such, their complaints are not far from the truths. It is also true that there is no current defense known to man against hypersonic missiles which Russia has developed and in service with the Russian military already and are developing defense mechanisms for it while US and china are just developing the missile technology and are still far away from achieving meaningfully speeds. It is also true that American missile defense system are so ineffective they are almost useless.

Civilization and development to many of you is seeing women parading their unclothedness on the streets and beaches. Why not list all index "educated" people use in measuring developments and see where Iran stands today compared to the pre-revolution era?
