Good morning mama's. I've been offline for days now cos I'm having issues. I've cried, prayed to my father in heaven, assured myself God loves me and i know all will be well. I was feeling feverish, so i had to go to d hospital, i did a test few days ago and the doc said I have malaria. I was given some drugs and was asked to come for my first scan the 2nd day cos I've registered for antenatal.

On the 2nd day, i told the sonographer i'm ecpecting twins and he laughed, I said I prayed to God for twins and I believe I'm carrying twins. It took the sonographer more than 30mins to finish d scan, dh was with me and he was worried, I knew i had issues when the sonographer started asking me questions like, do you bleed? Did u spot while preggy? Were you having back pain? Hmmmmmn. I said NO. No spotting, No backache, I only have cramps. He said okay.

Then, I noticed some things. Dh and I saw 2 babies in a sac, then the sonographer didn't say a word. He showed me just one active baby, he showed me his fingers, the umbilical cord, my placenta etc. Then I saw another baby that was inactive again, the guy didn't say a word. Hmmmn. Then he clicked on the baby and I saw 12 weeks and 4days, then he clicked on something and I saw 6 weeks and 2 days. Then I became scared and confused but I still don't understand what the problem is.

On our way back to the hospital reception, I told dh my observations, he said he noticed some things too. He said I should go to d reception that he will ask the sonographer some questions. Dh came back with a red eye and fake smile, he started googling some things on his phone and I became suspicious. I started crying, dh said all is well (with the fake smile o).

It was time to see d Dr to interprete d result, dh asked d Dr what is the cause of vanishing twin baby? Ha! That was how I started crying, I cried and the Dr and dh said I shld calm down. The Dr said for now there is nothing they can do, I will have to repeat d scan in 4 weeks time. The issue is my 2nd baby wasn't breathing, he's 6 weeks+ and my other baby is 12 weeks +. Then I have fibroid, a big one. It was detected same day. So my 2 babies and the big fibroid are all in my uterus, no wonder my Belle is big. The fibroid is not gIving my 2nd baby space at all, that's why he's not breathing.

I'm emotionally down, dh sis who is a medical practitioner have referred us to an experienced gynae in a general hospital. The gynae said he has years of experience but has never heard of twins growing seperately, that twins grow togeda. I'll be seeing the gynae for another scan this weekend.

I want my other baby active and I pray for a miracle....can he still breath? Will he be fine? Has anyone had same experience before and willing to share? I'm so sad.

How saddening to hear this. My heart reaches out to your mama. We will keep believing God for a miracle for your second twin. Please be strong.

Hello mama Whyworryph and all my November Teamies, thank God for our journey so far o. I am now 32weeks plus. I have been in and out of the hospital every week since week 26.

First I noticed reduced fetal movement. This baby was just not moving... hia I got very scared and went to the hospital. They ran an EKG for the baby then ordered a scan. The baby was just lying down breathing but zero movements. The songrapher had to start singing and poking the baby hahahaha. Finally, baby came to life.

They noticed reduced blood flow and nutrients to the placenta which may affect the growth and so they had to keep a close eye. They also gave me steriods incase they need to deliver early.
So every week I go for a scan to check the blood flow and growth.

So far so good. God has been faithful. Baby is growing very well and another plus is I get to see that sweet face every week hahahaha

Our journies will end with praise and we will come out with our LO hale and hearty.

PS: please always be attentive to your baby's movements and any change.

Oh so sorry that you had to be hospitalised teamie. Thank God for your mummy instincts!
Your sonographer is indeed funny. I'm glad things are looking much better now. Like you said, we shall end this journey with our LOs hale and hearty in Jesus name, amen.

please ma tell me more about this evening primrose ,how to use it and where to get it.

I got 2 bottles early in the year as prescribed by a pharmacist when I was ttcing.
I only took it like during my period and stopped before my ovulation so that it doesn't dilate my cervix in case I took in.

God being so kind, that was the only time I ever took it before getting my bfp. I didn't even know it can be inserted into the vagina before now.
I only knew that I was going to start taking it during the last weeks of my pregnancy since I know it dilates cervix.

Really hearing of this insertion pattern for the first time.

You can always get it from good pharmacies and even at the market. At the time I bought mine, I saw another make in the market which comes in a pack and cost 1500.

I have always prayed to God for a very easy delivery and He did it.On Saturday 15th sept i started having cramps.so i didnt take it seriously becos it wasnt painful.its started by 9am.i was even watching my africa magic.so by 12pm i decided to call my bro dats a doctor.i told him i m having cramps but its not painful so he adviced me to go to my hospital for check up.i took my bath,applied my make up,cat work enter transport.lolz...as i got to d hospital doc checked me and said madam you are already 5cm gone.i was like u are not serious.how can it be.the doc said i should call my husband to go get my bag.so i called him to come to d hospital first dat i dont know what dis doc is saying .Hubby came to d hospital and doc repected d same thing.i followed hubby home to go carry my bag.we came bk to d hospital.i was just myself cos i wasnt feeling pains just the cramp.within 10mins i was feeling pressed.when ever d cramp comes i will feel like pooing so i called the doc that i m feeling pressed.she decided to check me again if i m up to 10cm.as i lay down to be checked,d force to poo came again.i was like doctor ooo i want to poooooo,i cant hold it again ooo.as d doc put his hand to check my cevix,he was aleady touching my baby's head.Chai,both the doc n d nurses started running around.d doc was like....were is the sccissors....bring the hand cloves....as all these were going on my baby's head was already coming out.just one push and the whole body was out .He was screeming down d hospital.it was like a movie to me.every things was so fast and painless.no single tear.Its can only be God.
Observation!!! When i was 36weeks i started inserting evening primrose capsule into my virgina.i also did it for my first pregnancy n it really helped to ripening the cervix n i dilated very fast too.
I pray for those still pregnant,yours will be easiler n faster.You will go in and come out safely in Jesus Name.Amen!

Me I have that evening primrose capsule too. Hmm...Who knows I might give it a trial when the time comes.

Good morning mamas I tested positive to malaria and it was ++ the doctor prescribe the drug in the pic for me. I browsed and saw it wasn't safe in first trimester. Considering it is 80 over 480 can I still take it? I don't even know if what I am typing makes sense. please help.

I was also skeptical when I was given malaria drugs which I also learned (browsed) was not too safe for my stage of pregnancy at the time.

But I was made to understand that when the potential harm the malaria may do to baby outweighs the risk of the drug, then we ought to go with the drug.

Don't worry, as long as it was prescribed by your doctor, then go ahead and take it. The malaria is really not good for baby. At the end, baby will turn out just alright ok?

It is with a great joy I announce to my sisters here dat God have finally answered our prayers by giving me a BFP test.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it and rush to hospital the next day and d confirmed it....Lord am grateful.
I pray for a smooth and wonderful pregnancy journey and to all our TTC sisters d Lord will wipe away ur tears soon.

My daughter and I just got discharged from the hospital. I had severe malaria and stress from moving to a new apartment. Healing just fine by God's grace.
My baby's bigger than his gestational age. So I may deliver earlier, which by the way is my desire(37wks I pray for).
Overall, I have a lot to be thankful for.

Oh dearest, so sorry to hear about your health but I thank God you are much stronger now. You and your daughter are completely healed in Jesus name, amen

About baby measuring ahead, that is quite some relief. You know we share the same EDD but my sonographer no gree tell me how baby is measuring. Just said everything was fine the last time I went for scan.

But whichever way, whenever baby arrives, I'll gladly welcome him or her.

it much can i start using sheabutter on it why am still pregnant..
Note: I don't scratch when it itches me.

Sweetheart, to be honest, stretch mark seems to me like a stubborn mark that shouts "I carried a baby in here o"

I have really researched in depth on what one can use to get rid of it or at least prevent it during pregnancy and found no lasting solution.

Some people go through pregnancy and itch and yet no single line of Stretchmark. For some of us, we sneeze and the Stretchmark appears

Even with the sheabutter and bio oil that I apply on my tommy, nothing seems to be working.

But if it's any consolation, bear in mind that after birth and as your tommy contracts back, the Stretchmarks will begin to fade and will not be as obvious as they are now.

Me, I have accepted my fate and will gladly bear it as a mark to show my baby when he or she grows and has the guts to make fun of my big tommy or marks.

I'll be like: "you are the one that gave me these marks and big tommy"

majestique please hang in there. This whole process will soon be over and you will remember it with joy when your lo is in your arms. Be strong!

4/4 The nurse said, since the only pain was in my rectum, I should push the next time I feel like pooing. So I kept pushing. After a while, she had to cut me to create more room. By 11.45, my beautiful baby boy came out screaming and was handed over to me...... To God be the glory. Ladies, please get ready for your babies from week 36, I can imagine what would have happened if I didn't pack my bags a night before the baby decided to show. I can't sleep with my right side at all my baby doesn't like it so i sleep with my left side and i feel so weak with just one side, i can't just wait for November to come really counting down

Don't worry mama. By next week Friday, we shall be getting ready to say goodbye to September and then start counting down to Oct and then our super month ... can't wait too

You are welcome mama. I'm glad you are almost done with shopping. About the back pain, I used to suffer from it but miraculously bumped into a solution that has seen me say goodbye to back pain.

My sister in law that used to help me travelled and I had to choice but to clean the house. So I bought that long brush used for sweeping. Then I swept the whole house with it and later mopped the house as well. I would only bend a little to squeeze the mop and not bend entirely.

To my greatest surprise, that evening, I slept like a baby with zero pain. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't experienced it again. I only mop 2 times a week and it has been very helpful in getting rid of the pain.

In fact, if not for that bum bum pain and baby kicking, I would have being afraid that baby is no longer there

It shall all end in praise for all of us.

Hello teammates! How are we all doing?
We are seriously counting down to November.
We are now in week 33, 32, 31, 30, and 29.
Can't wait to offload.

Teamies hope we have all shopped and planning to pack?
Remember that the basic things needed at this point is a place for baby to sleep, what to wear and feeding.

If money is an issue, please get OK clothes, wash with dettol and iron when dry.

For baby bed, you can always get those folding ones that comes with net. They cost 1500 and will come in handy at the hospital too.

For feeding, they have the one that comes in a pack and cost 1500 as well. You must not go for Avent sterilising unit or other makes if you don't have the money.

You can always get ori or nkwume (shea butter) as baby's cream, cussons baby powder and oil and Blue seal vaseline.

Please no matter how small start shopping. Some people might give birth late October and so you never can tell when baby will come. Plus, shopping is best done when you still have some energy left.

For me, hmm, there is this pain that happens where I have my tail bone (bum bum bone) especially when I sit for long or wake up from sleep. The pain can be a little distracting.

My bump is looking bigger each week to the point people think I'll drop this month or expecting ejima. It is well o.

So after the birthday, I have decided to start seeing a new gyn, since the last one all he does is to give me clomid for 4months straight despite the fact that my enemies have big fibroids. For 3months now I have been off all medications even folic acidic, I believe my system is ready now.

I need recommendations from port Harcourt mamas on BMH hospital

Mama don't worry, your testimony will surely meet up with all the prayers made for you on your birthday.
About BMH, I haven't used there before but I'm using UPTH. They have good doctors and gynea consultants that are relatively cheap.

If you can, you can try UPTH but not on Mondays and Tuesdays as the crowd when registering is usually much. I believe BMH will also be good since it's a govt hospital as well.

My dear, except you get a referral of a good gynea in a private hospital, I will advise you don't waste your money with them. Govt hospitals have the best qualified doctors and gynea.
