In other news, I'm heartbroken​
So today is our baby's naming and i already preinformed my photographer. She's my friend from way back university. Shot our wedding, and our dd's 1st birthday. We are close. We sealed the deal earlier this week and as at this morning, i got a whatsapp msg from her that she was on her way. There was supposed to be a photo session in the house before going to church for the naming and coming back home for the reception.

How i love photography. I hurried everyone to have their baths and got my kids outfits ready so there won't be any flop.
8:03 was the last time i heard from her. I was agitated and kept in ringing her two phones, twas switched off. At the dieing minute, we didn't have plan B. I was worried. All through the naming, i couldn't bear the thought of not having the day captured. My hubby sha gave someone his phone to do some small shots but i wanted my professional photography.

Her number went through this night only for her to call me back that she entered one chance that morning. Her camera and phone were taken.

Far above my disappointment, i felt sorry for her and thankful to God for her life.

My baby's naming however went well. The day couldn't be paused, held down or rewinded and this day won't come again and sadly the memories of dis day wasn't captured. Hmmmn.

Oh sorry dear. Thank God for her life. See if you can take the pix in your hubby's phone to a good graphic artist that can work on them and make them much better.

@ Liftedhands, that pix of you and your son in your diary is so adorable. God will keep and preserve you both. Your son will never joke with you mam.

Mama's join me in welcoming my third soldier. I had him on the 3rd of October at 38 weeks thru C-section ( repeat C-section) ,he weight 5.1kg.
I thank God for everything he has done and everything he will continue to do. I was intially booked for an elective C-section on the 10 the of Oct, but I thank God for giving me the knowledge and wisdom to speak up and follow my instinct.
It was a big risk cause I had a bad last year July through C-section and then this year, because in the medical field I was able to ague my point on why the C-section should be done this week if not uterine rupture would have been my enemies portion not mine in Jesus Name.
I wish all waddling Mama's safe delivery, the babies in your womb you will suckle in Jesus Name.
And those believing God for the fruit of the womb, the Lord that did it for me after 4 years of battling secondary infertility is still on the throne and will do it for each and every one of you in the Mighty name of Jesus.

Congratulations mama. We thank God for the successful arrival of your soldier. Rest well

I agree with you. UPTH is the best option unless you can vouch for the private hospital with your chest and most of those ones are expensive

Now is the time babies pack on the fat, that's the major reason for the increased hunger. I HATE that almost constant feeling of hunger. And it's not as if I can eat a little at a time; I must be full, if not I'd be miserable. After being full for a brief moment, heartburn takes over.

In everything I still thank God because the almost 1yr journey is winding up.

At first I thought UPTH weighing scale wasn't working but my digital one at home also supports what theirs gave me.

I also hate that feeling of hunger. Can't eat in bits too cos it will seem like I'm joking. I will be shaking and weak at the same time. Only beans give me heartburn and so I try to avoid it at night.
I'm trusting God that our babies will not pack on so much weight.

The cervix will open only when it's ready to. But you can help it rippen with walks, staircase climbing, Queens pineapple consumption as well as dates fruit. Sexual intercourse also helps.

For mine, i added an extra 15kg by the end of the pregnancy. During the pregnancy i ate normal plus almost everyday soft drink especially the last trimester but baby weighed 3.3kg when she came out which isn't so big. According to my neighbor, she didn't eat much in her pregnancy but her baby came out weighing 4.5kg. The weight of baby is not ALWAYS dependent on what you eat.

Wow with all those first trimester banquet you had, you added only 3kg na you biko.
Me I added a whooping 6kg at that first 2 months and piled the remaining 4kg slowly from 3rd month in that first trimester to this my last month in 3rd trimester making it 10kg in all .
I'm not really experienced in this but eat when you feel like unlike me that aversion held for 7 months now but mbok try and squeeze out time to take your leisure walk, prolly in the evenings, this will help baby not to be too big (because this is when they pack on fat) and also help in easy delivery.
Eat biko because me I'm searching for appetite now.

As for the sleeping, I don't sleep after praying too at night so I sleep during the day, thank God for helping me be my own boss, them office for don sack me tey tey for sleeping on duty..

Mama 10kg isn't so bad and you will easily lose it after birth being that you are on the slender side.
To be honest, I am really surprised that I only gained 3kg so far. In fact, I was even losing weight in the first trimester even with all that shawarma, ice cream and meat pie.
Now I'm trying to cut down and yet hunger is no respecter of my resolve to cut down.

I was thinking that the walk should start from 36 weeks, but since you mentioned it, I will start incorporating it in gradually.

Good to know I'm not alone in the sleep department
Make we sleep now cos when baby comes, it might not be funny.

Sis o concur with whyworryph, government hospital has the most competent hand u can trust. Though am not based in ph but my sister's there use military hospital and upth. In fact one goes all the way from Oyigbo to upth. It's all about getting the services u want.

That means that Military hospital is your best shot. It's on Aba Road after rumuola. Ask the conductor or taxi driver to stop you at military hospital. You can't miss it. If your are mobile, you will see it just after presidential hotel. If in doubt, ask people once you get to rumuola but you will not miss it as it's along the road on your right side

Baby kicks is still very much consistent and she went der today for a test and de say her vjay is still yet to open meaning it's just false labour de project a scan for tomorrow to know d state of d baby and the exact water dat might showed up dat Saturday and d oda days... After d scan we'll look for another hospital if d outcome is not fine but d mother said d water only showed on Saturday... Having said only one day I believe it can still b dangerous as far as d water is concerned.

To the glory of God, we welcomed our little prince charming, at about 9:10am on the 4th of October weighing 2.8kg with no tear. My joy knows no bounds. Vaginal birth via induction. Induction no be small thing ooo. But we thank God for His faithfulness.

MAMAS HELP A SISTER PLEASE


I'm new in PH because Dh based there while my work station is in Ebonyi state. I mentioned that I went for scan on Tuesday at one private hospital, they said I should register for antenatal which I did( Me&Dh had agreed that I will use the hospital). After running some tests, Dr said there is malaria ++(I disagreed because I had test the previous week and no atom of malaria)

Personally, I decided not to deal with private hospitals in PH. I'm using UPTH and have no complains so far. I don't make use of NHIS but I always see it's posters at various points in the hospital so I want to believe they are offering such. In fact, if private hospitals accepts NHIS, I'm very sure UPTH will as well.

You could also try BMH or Military hospital. These 3 hospitals are govt hospitals. My sister had 3 of her kids at military hospital with no issues. I used them last year too but my loss have kept me from returning. But their environment is clean and services commendable.

Rant time

Mamas, I didn't expect the symptoms I had in my first trimester to come hitting me back like this.
I am experiencing the same type of hunger I felt in my first trimester. I will finish eating and in 3 hours I will feel like I have not eaten since 2 days. I mean, I will be shaking. And if I don't eat bellefull, I won't be myself.

What about sleep? Hmm...my name now is madam sleep. I might not be able to sleep back after my midnight prayer but I make up for it by sleeping all through the day

My clients that I write for online are only condoning me cos of my condition cos I usually end up delaying their work for days. Thank God I work from home otherwise, no boss will condone me at this point.

Tomorrow I will be 33 weeks and this is certainly not good for me at this point. Have been experiencing this since I entered 30 weeks.

Although I have only added 3kg so far in this pregnancy (don't need to add much cos I was already overweight pre pregnancy), I sometimes wonder if baby is piling the weight instead.
My last scan at 27 weeks showed baby weighing normal according to stats.
Biko, ejor, mbok, is anyone else experiencing this or ate this much and baby came out not weighing so much?

I'm not complaining God (please do not be angry with me), but I would love to know if anyone else is or had been in my shoes.

thanks every one.. She said d water stop coming today, does dat means it's leakages and if its leakage is it not harmful too? Since Saturday.. Only Thursday she has not seen d water... In addition she said it's just few drops can it be leakages... Thanks all

Please hope baby's kicks are still very consistent? Her baby should be checked to make sure he or she isn't in distress.
I don't know how buoyant you are but I would have loved if you can go to another hospital. I don't think she is being attended to as she should.

She ought to have been on antibiotics to avoid infection at least. I was placed on that when my water was leaking at 25 weeks and they were trying to stop contraction. I gave birth and baby didn't make it cos it was premature.

Please see if she can go to another hospital or go back to the one she uses and cause a scene until she is attended to. I would hate for this journey of 9 months to turn sour simply because of a doctor's carelessness.

Don't worry, over excitement will soon take over your status especially when baby starts kicking. It's a priceless feeling. And when you finally hold your baby... forget it, you will thank God for taking this decision.

The drugs I mentioned are not expensive Ok? With 100 to 200 naira you will get it from a chemist or pharmacy. And it will last you for a month. I would like you to start taking them today if possible especially folic acid cos it's very important at this stage of your pregnancy.

The truth is that at this point, she can only work with a doctor and follow the doctor's advise.

She shouldn't be left to continue with the pregnancy without at least trying to induce her. Her water breaking can indeed expose her to infection.
Which hospital is she using? Govt or private?
I would suggest she gets back to them and insists they do something since she is already term.

If they are still hesitant to do anything, let her go to another hospital ASAP.

Whenever you are down, come in here and rant and we will give you a shoulder to lean on. The road might look bleak but by the time your bundle of joy arrives, don't be surprised your boyfriend will come crawling and begging for forgiveness.

There is no judgement here and so being a single mother has nothing to do with this forum. We are all mothers nurturing life and sticking together through thick and thin.

Welcome once again and please start taking folic acid one a day. You can add fesolate to it and take it one tablet 2 times a day.

It felt just like a dream when I got my BFP. I was over the moon with so many thoughts flooding my mind, like how the baby would look like. I couldn't even wait for the bump to start showing early enough to make my mockers see how my God haven't forgotten me, but God knows best.

I'm happy for that wonderful experience.

For the FTM; if you feel any discomfort please talk to your doc. I didn't listen to my body when I started feeling mild cramping thinking it was normal, it went on for almost 2wks before I decided to check with my doctor who confirmed my greatest fear. But all in all, I'm happy for this journey thus far which shows I am fertile.

So sorry to hear this mama. The Lord will wipe your tears with babies that will bring laughter to your household in Jesus name, amen.
