Yes ooo. I concur mama, its just as if we have entered November. No vjay pressure yet but my back hurts so much and the number of toilet visits have trippled.
I am still on weekly visits due to the initial challenge and from the look of things I'll be on that routine till I offload.

I can't wait for the glorious end of this beautiful journey

I'm so happy you are having a princess teamie. Princesses are so pretty and easy to dress up. I'm team green although I have been tempted several times to find out the sex.

Thank God you don't have Vjay pressure yet cos that thing, hmm... I can't just explain it. And I'm so sorry about the back pain. DH can help in massaging the pain.

One mama here suggested a method whereby you are in a sitting position while he stands before you and throws his hands at your back as if he wants to lift you up but instead massages your back with his hands in that position. Your arms should be both around his neck. Hope I got the description right

In my own case, mopping the floor got rid of my back pain far tey. I do so twice in a week.
Being on weekly visits is good so that they can keep a close watch until pretty princess arrives in great health.

Hello cappo and all my teamies. Hope everyone is doing great? I am so happy we have finally entered October where the real countdown begins. Can't wait!

On my part, I am ready for this my baby. E dey do me like say na November we just entered.
But the pressure on my Vjay no be here o. When I wake up from sleep, the thing will seem like it wants to fall out. Hmm...

I thank God for the journey so far. I'm now on biweekly appointment at UPTH and thank God the strike has been called off.

We are all going to meet our los in perfect health and joy with plenty money.

Join me to thank Allah as i welcomed my princess on the 27th September via VD with small tear. Baby weighed 3kg. itws a very sharp delivery as i got to the hospital by 7:45pm and delivered by 8:35pm. Mum and daughter are doing fine.

Hi mama's, I've been experiencing leg cramps and lower abdomen cramps for like two weeks now. it comes like twice a day and I always lay down immediately I feel the pain and it goes down too. secondly, my tummy gets hard and gets normal after a while. please mothers am getting scared this is my second pregnancy or is it because of the space between my first (he's 3 and half years). I've not registered for antenatal cos have completed my TT injection and I'm planning to register by Nov. I'm 17w2d pregnant.

The lower abdominal pains sound like round ligament pain which is expected since your Uterus is expanding to accommodate baby's growth.
Leg cramp is part of the pregnancy package too. Other mamas who experience it may suggest what they do to ease it up.
Your tommy getting hard and relaxing afterwards is Braxton Hicks. It is false or practicing contraction. It is usually a third trimester thing. As long as it doesn't come with cramps and goes away, you have nothing to worry about. It will become more often as you get closer. Try to always stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water.

Hello experienced mamas, been having contractions that come and go at intervals since monday. on tuesday morning, i saw small blood mixed wt mucus and so i went to the hospital, i was checked but was told my cervix is still closed. i'm 39 +6days. Is there something i need todo? should i be worried?

Do not worry mama. You are not too far from delivery. The signs you are experiencing are normal for your stage. Just increase your activity (trekking/walking or climbing staircase). Get queen pineapple as it helps in dilating cervix. BD also helps too cos sperm contains a component (forgotten the name) that helps in dilating the cervix.

If this is your first pregnancy, then perhaps baby wants to stay longer as is very common with first pregnancies. But please chilax, your body is just preparing for your baby's grand entrance.

My dear please speak to your doctor. Testing for infection would really be important to rule it out. Infection showed me pepper last pregnancy and eventually caused my water to break and then PPROM.

I'm not so concerned about the increase in discharge cos preggy women experience that, but that itching...
Please insist on running test for infection.

Other mamas have spoken dear. I believe you are calm now. Some people even give birth to their baby weighing exactly 2.3kg (especially twins) and in few days time they blow up.
Your baby is growing just fine.

Thanks dear. Not d only issue but am just curious to see it to know if it can make a change.

I understand how you feel about it mama, the truth is that you won't need it when God remembers you (which is very soon).

After my premature delivery last year, my period returned at exactly 6 weeks post delivery and was consistent for the next 3 months with clear egg white while on my ovulation.

I only BD out of: "Ok let me just not waste the cycle" cos I was still paranoid about taking in cos of my loss.

The next 3 months had my period coming after 46 days and one was even more than fifty something days sef. And of course, the egg white I used to have travelled to China.

And I was ready and trying seriously at that time but no way.

It was in the midst of irregular menses and absent of egg white with ovarian cyst and fibroid that God remembered me. He likes showing us that it isn't by our effort or might that we prevail.

So you see, God is about to do the same for you so that when you testify, it will indeed be a miracle.

Please be strong. My prayers are with you all my sisters here. Can't wait for more BFPs in Jesus name, amen!

My prince charming was born on 23rd of Sept at 9:25am.
Baby weighed 4.2, I had massive tears but it's all worth it that it ended in praise. BS coming soon after I get a bit of relief.

Glad to know you are ok dear. Whenever you are at home, try to elevate your legs even when you are sleeping. It should help.

Team January, am I alone? Lower backache, swollen feet, constipation/purging (depending on the mood of my stomach), heartburn and sweating.

Please someone should tell me how to keep my feet up in the office so they don't get so swollen by the end of the day.

Mama please how is the swelling? I'm wondering if it isn't too early for your feet to swell. Have you started antenatal? I would have suggested you get your urine and BP checked to be sure it's just normal swelling.

Don't mean to scare you, but just to be safe. You can even check in with any hospital and ask for these tests without necessarily registering for antenatal. In the meantime, try walking about every hour or two if your work demands sitting down often.

Like Pam said, you have nothing to fear mama. If other women went through induction, then you can stand it too.
What matters is carrying the result of your 9 months in your hands.

But in the meantime, try the queen pineapple, zobo with dates, "activities in the other room", long walks but not to the point of exertion. Just be active generally and who knows, you might fall into labour before Monday.
