Dont cry too soon. All those responsible for Boko Haram have to pay for the innocent bloodshed.

October 1st bombing shall surely be probed.
No, I am not crying, I am as much desirous of justice for the victims of d deadly sect as most Nigerians, but I have also lived long enough to realise that when you feed a cub with meat and blood of your enemies, in no time it grows so big and insatiable so much so that it starts feeding on the flesh & blood of both the enemies and those who nurtured it. Let's collectively say no to this burgeoning tyranny and impunity

Your caption is quite misleading, but ur intentions are pure...

I see you as a concerned Nigerian, making sure PMB does not go amiss.

On the topic... when it comes to issues of the nation's security, the DSS can whisk anyone away depending on the Intel they get. The story is still unfolding, we would have to wait till we hear the other side.

Also concerning PMB, I. Know the expectation is high. We need to pressure him in all ways necessary cos indeed Nigerians deserves better. But a little patience would do also.

We were patient with GEJ for close to 6 years, let's hope for the best and expect the worst from PMB for 4 years, then we can/might kick him out with our votes...

Our major triumph is in the electoral system which I hope would be sustained

Where did u get the idea that security agencies can whimsically deprive a citizen of his or liberty based on subjective and nebulous reason of national security? Unless u are caught in the act, no law permits anyone, state security or not , from depriving a citizen of his freedom and liberty without following due process and showing reasonable cause before a competent judicial authority. Last night the Idiotic goons told us it was a pre emptive raid based on his "NOTORIOUS" antecedents, even though they failed to mention any of the antecedents they qualified as notorious. Today it's no more pre emptive but probable evidence of treasonable felony, which may or may not be enough to sustain a trial. If your evidence is no yet impeachable , why rush to the press?
PoliticsRe: FG May Charge Dasuki For Sponsoring Terrorism by Wildrage: 8:22pm On Jul 19, 2015
This is madness, are we back to the gestapo era of the 80s where the security agencies do not even disguise their diabolical intrigues? Buhari's dictatorial libido still seems pretty high and the sight of real or imaginary enemies must be exciting to his mojo.

Dss presented all the poo they call evidence this morning and it amounts to nothing but deliberate attempt to connect nothing to something. If you do not have enough evidence to prosecute, why the smear campaign in the press? The upshot of this foolishness is to connect Gej to boko haram and God knows they won't be able to manage the resultant conflagration

Religion is a dual edge sword, moderate adherence keeps you spiritually fulfilled while not blurring your vision and impeding your logic. In Nigeria it's becoming an opium. Those hailing Aregbe see a Muslim brother not an inept, clueless, empty sloganeering fool that he really is
PoliticsRe: Ex-governor Lamido's Supporters Scale Airport Fence To Welcome Him (PHOTOS) by Wildrage: 4:41pm On Jul 16, 2015
This is pure madness, the very reason corruption thrives in Nigeria. Even if the man is not yet found guilty, this show of support even with the weight of allegation dangling on his neck sends a wrong signal to our politicians that whatever their offense, they will still find support from the same victims of their crime
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Response To Dele Momodu: My Thoughts... by Wildrage: 2:36pm On Jul 16, 2015
APC must be full of thieves and dullards if it's taking the president close to 100 days (since winning the election) to find 36 credible men to run the govt with him. Ascribing any positive development in the polity to a man who largely has been a statute is fraudulent. Under him more than 600 nigerians have lost their lives to boko haram, the fall in the stock market is unprecedented, dollar now sells for 245, fuel is still selling at btw 120 to 130 even as the amount for subsidy kept increasing, cult related violence and kidnapping has returned to the south south and south east, inflation is at an all time high with prices of staple foods going beyond the reach of the poor, his party is in crisis over mundane issue of sharing positions. The tell tale signs are quite ominous and we can only pray that the president puts his act together and start the arduous task of delivering tangible dividends and bridging the widening gaps of ethnic and religious divide largely fueled by their unreasonable, vitriolic and demeaning attacks as opposition party. Trumpeting cosmetic gain that has no input of the incumbent would not cut it for long
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Response To Dele Momodu: My Thoughts... by Wildrage:
Balanced and open minded assessment of Dele's narrative of his encounter with Mr President, wish I could share in your magnanimous optimism, but knowing the major players in APC, their combative approach to national discourse, penchant for propaganda, I will urge a large dose of caution before giving this govt the benefit of doubt. Never in our checkered history have we had a govt so tardy in its approach to governance, directionless and purposeless with every steps so far taken. From the inaugural day pronouncement of relocation of command centre to Borno state, even before adequate consultation with security personnel, the flip flop on the removal of rd blocks, the acrimonious election of NASS principal officers and the recent directive that pegged dollar at N160 for religious excursion, it's been one gaffe after the other. They came in with no clear cut blueprint save some potpourri of unattainable objectives. Since taking over, all the narrative has been all about lowering our expectation rather than inspiring hope about what's achievable.

Dele momodu is a well known "alright sir" journalist so his invitation by the president and his account of what transpired should be construed from the perspective of his antecedent. He is not only a Card carrying APC member , but one of the loudest vuvuzelas in the well orchestrated campaign of calumny against the last administration. There are many objective, serious minded journalist out there if Buhari is willing to showcase his new found tolerance and reception for dissenting views. Dele has been an unapologetic "Famzer" to the likes Amaechi, Saraki and any politician willing and able to butter his bread

The alleged ultimatum to the electricity companies is also a stupid propaganda by a directionless govt. You can't give what does not exist, if the capacity to generate was not there, the ultimatum is futile. It's a known fact that generation improves during raining season when the tide at the hydro dams are usually high, if nothing is done to complement the existing capacity btw now and the dry season we would surely be back to where we were
PoliticsRe: Basketmouth Attacks PDP by Wildrage: 3:39am On Jul 16, 2015
Every idiot trying to remain relevant in Lagos takes a cheap shot at PDP. The nitwits recognize the popular fad and try to flow with the flow. Where were these airheads when APC and their goons could not hide their disdain for everything Nigeria because of their hate for Jonathan. They even celebrate our set backs in the war against terror and the success of our mitary regularly ridiculed. Basket mouth should stick with comedy and stop giving opinion about serious issues cos that's way above his ken.
PoliticsRe: I Chose Yar’adua Because Others Were Corrupt –obasanjo by Wildrage: 1:54am On Jul 16, 2015
People like Obasanjo have an inflated opinion of their own wisdom. Why not allow Nigerians decide for themselves instead of playing God and thinking you know it all. Why do we call it democracy if someone can appropriate the wisdom of a whole nation and assume he knows better than all of us. It's because of Obasanjo, Tinubu and their likes we are where we are today. People who assume they can play the role of God
PoliticsRe: Massive Shake-up: Gov. El-rufai Retires 20 Perm Secs In Kaduna by Wildrage: 8:11pm On Jul 15, 2015
Playing to gallery with people's career, perm secs are career civil servants and not political appointees that can be hired and fired at the whims of political leaders. What offense have they committed to warrant such an ignominious end to their career? There is civil service commission that handles discipline of civil servants if they are found wanting, to take over that role is nothing but obnoxious usurpation of the work of the commission. NLC should take up the matter

Caseless:
i believe you dont live in Nigeria cos if you do, you wont type this.
Under gej: court orders were 'flouted'.
The so called independent INEC was forced to postponed election.
Custom generated much and left nothing behind to show to commensurate this claim.
Opposition 'blossomed' indeed. Of course, the dss, military and police were willing tools against opposition members. They denied opposition members movement and freedom on the days of various elections held prior to the last.
What are u saying?
That you say so does not make it so, back up your assertion with facts

The election was postponed to achieve an objective, for the records no life was needlessly lost to Boko Haram because of that postponement and the places where elections would not have held because of insecurity were able to vote and they voted massively for the opposition

Give us instances where judgment of courts were flouted

The money generated by customs were shared by all the tiers of government and until there is evidence to show the one that accrued to the fed govt was mismanaged, your allegation is baseless

Five gubernatorial elections were held under Gej and PDP won just one, so what's the essence of harassing opposition if it's aimed at rigging the election in PDP's favor?

See a wailing nuisance talking about decorum. You whose whole miserable existence has been tagged 'Tinubu's fault' in your senile mind and therefore can't seem to get over the man's political relevance and sagacity, something you and your wee-brained dumbheads can only pray to achieve in several decades from now.

Tinubu remains a relevant authority in nigeria politics.

People like u, either for tribal loyalty or sheer stupidity are going to remain tools for the relevance of the thief you idolize even as you remain mentally and materially poor. Jonathan's years are the worst in Nigerian history. I know things will be tough for Buhari because of oil crisis but our institutions will work again. Have you seen Buhari hunting opposition State Governors like Jonathan? That alone is enough for me from Imo and Rivers States.
Which institutions were working that GEj destroyed?

We had the freest judiciary under Gej with govt obeying court judgment

INEC became truly independent

The highest revenue ever generated by the Nigeria Custom service were under GEJ

Opposition blossomed and became robust

The press had absolute freedom/ FOI bill was passed

The era of Ghana must go in the national assembly became a distant memory

Pls tell me which opposition state governor was hunted under Gej?
PoliticsRe: Opportunity Cost Of Corruption Under Goodluck Jonathan. by Wildrage: 3:40pm On Jul 15, 2015
A mind saturated with hate is inherently incapable of objectivity, since when has every asinine allegation become irrefutable truth?
I am all for thorough investigation of all allegations and who so ever is found to have stolen from the commonwealth, punished and the loot recovered.

It is heartwarming that those who have trumpeted these allegations are now saddled with leadership, with all the powers to "justly" right the wrongs and plug all the financial loopholes they saw when they were in opposition. With the holes plugged, we should not feel the effect of the 40% drop in oil price since its alleged that as much as was budgeted were stolen under GEJ. In a few month we expect the value of Naira to appreciate to the pre-oil crisis level, the states allocation should also increase to the pre crisis period and external reserve adequately funding our imports as it used to be. After 4yrs, we hope we'd have a hospital of the standard of John Hopkins, motorable rds all over the country and at least 40,000MW of power generation and distribution.

With the alleged massive looting under GEJ , we still saw a lot of developmental projects initiated and completed, this inspite of the contrived war in the north for the whole period he was at the helm of affairs. With the holes plugged we expect this govt to quadruple the achievements under Gej.

This man should leave history lesson to lecturers and start earning his pay and privileges. The presidency should not be an end in itself, make the right impact and leave the country better than you met it and you would have earned the right to regale us with the stories of your boring rise to power. For now stop the boko massacres, the downward slide in the value of Naira, the rising inflation, the high pump price of fuel etc
PoliticsRe: Why Rivers State Poeple Will Miss Ameachi by Wildrage: 1:09am On Jul 12, 2015
Achievement should be measured vis a vis the resources at the disposal of any administrator. Only those with mental retardation will make the dubious comparison btw Amaechi and his predecessors. A diligent inquiry would show that the money available to Amaechi in 8yrs is more than the sum total of what was available to all his predecessors. In 8yrs, Rivers state IGR and federal allocation was in excess of 2.5 trillion Naira, more than half of which the Ubima clown must have frittered away. A first time visitor to the state would shocked at how underdeveloped the state is, both in terms of infrastructure and human development, these inspite of the unprecedented huge amount that was at the disposal of the airhead who presided over the affairs of the state in the last eight years.

In his first term, to endear himself to the people, considering the controversial way he became the gov, started off with laudable projects, albeit at grossly inflated cost. Some of these projects were later discovered to be grandiose, ill conceived and conduit pipe for for the financial rape of the state resources eg the monorail, the model secondary schools (each costing more than N10b) and the biggest of all scams, The greater porthacourt project with an average annual budgetary allocation of N50b.

In 8yrs, for reasons best known to him, less than 200 certificates of occupancy were issued, thereby retarding business growth and limiting assess to funds. By his own admission, the renovation of ten classroom primary schools were awarded at the cost of N120b each. That amount could build at least 4 duplexes of 4flats each. The Karibi whyte memorial hospital was awarded at the cost of N4.5b and the money paid upfront. Till date not a block has been put on ground. His financial scams and legendary profligacy are too numerous to mention. The whole of porthacourt, from borokiri to Obigbo is not bigger than victoria lsland to Ajah in terms of land mass yet less than 30% of the rds are motorable.

There is no point rehashing his many acts of impunity, from closure of courts for more than a year, awarding contracts without due process, locking up the state house of assembly, illegally revoking the Cof O of the headquarter of the factional PDP when he was still in the party and harassing the factional members with police, declaring a public holiday to prevent the court from delivering judgment in the case filed by Nzirims against his illegal removal as LGA chairman, harboring a wanted criminal, Chidi Lyod, in the govt house even when the police had declared him wanted for the criminal assault and battery of a fellow lawmaker etc

People like Amaechi do not have the temperament, character and intellectual capacity to be a ward councilor and his court mandate to preside over the affairs of rivers state was a ghastly error. Never again should any state be saddled with an incompetent miscreant like the Ubima circus clown

Used to like this man until his pettiness supplanted every positives in his xter . The only noteworthy part of the interview are the last two paragraphs where he spoke about the wicked rumour peddled about his wife's death. It's like the wicked are never aware of the harm they cause others until they are visited with the same wickedness they do to others. I hope he's able to sleep well at night with the damage he caused GEJ, especially the unfounded and wicked allegation of a thousand snipers being trained for political assassination
PoliticsRe: Buhari, Osinbajo Cut Salary By 50% by Wildrage:
Rubbish, stupid populist posturing. First , he does not have the power to fix or review his own salary, whether upward or downward. If he believes the salary is too much, let him pledge the half he is willing to forego to any worthy cause. As seemingly noble as the gesture may be , he should note that the salaries are not the problem, the problem is the bloated and undefined pecks, privileges and allowances. For him to show he is serious, let them monetize his pecks and privileges as done in places like united states where the first family feed from their stipulated feeding allowance, and same goes for all other personal expenditure
