A month into the tenure of this new govt and the entire executive arm of govt comprise of the president, the vice president, two presidential spokesperson and a photographer. It's no surprise therefore that we are daily fed with mundane news and what in other serious climes would be considered inanities. Nigeria is a secular country so why are we being inundated about the president's preference of venue for his Jumat service? Of what concern is it to me as a Nigerian if he decides to observe the Jumat in his bedroom. All these populist posturing without substance would soon wear out even his most ardent supporters if he does not role up his sleeves and start delivering on some of his campaign promises.
