If interest banking is anti-islamic, or is an abomination to Allah as asserted by most muslims including this thread's subject, where does that put SLS, muslim board members of conventional banks, and those muslims owning accounts in conventional banks?
It's like coming out to speak against cigarette smoking when i have interests in BAT,
That to me smacks of hypocrisy, or did we just discover that page in the quran?
Please i have nothing against islam, but i'm just a bit confused with the sudden outbursts on usury being an abomination, when i can bet most of those imams have accounts in conventional banks, is this not a case of talking from both sides of the mouth, hope you get my point?@ texazpette

I'm still at a loss as to how non christians/pseudo christians came up with the farce that christianity is anti-interest,
There is the need to differentiate judaism from christianity
Judaism which actually gave precedent to christianity forbids usury as seen in Exodus 22:25, Leveticus 25:36,37, Deutoronomy 23:19,20, Nehemiah 5:7,10 et al,
Now, here is what our Lord Jesus said in the parable of talents (Matthew 25:27)
'Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming i would receive of my own its usury' (KJV)
That does not sound, to me, as the words of one who was averse to interest banking as omatseye and his ilk will have us believe OR can one be more christian than christ himself.
By the way am i the only one surprised that this same SLS, Only 2years ago served in the board of, and was the CEO of one of Nigeria's biggest interest banks,
I'm nt against non interest banking, and i dont think anybody should be, but lets stop giving it religious coloration or justification, be it christian or other wise

Hello house, i was just wondering if anyone here has pictures of Lawrence Anini and Monday Osunbor,leaders of the notorious armed robbery gang who were executed in 1986. Hello Nlers, pls i hv sumtin botherin me dat i want advice on, i recently got a call frm a leadin MNC in nigeria informin me of an interview or assessment as it was calld a day b4 d said interview, i had already written and passd d apt test, d fact's dt i liv in a diff region from lagos whr d interview ws to b conducted on ds short notice(i also hd my day mapped out too, and sincerely i didnt want 2 giv any chances as par preparatns, bt i didnt tel d caller these), i told d HR Person dt i was nt resident in lagos. which she confirmed after ,i believe lookin up my information, i den askd her if it could b rescheduled, and her answer was in d affirmative, pls my problem is i want to knw if i was rite to ask for a reschedule, pls HR persons i need ur advice, cos i need ds job,and i also need tips on handling interviews, any effort would b realy appreciated, God bless y'all
