leketon: If I Had Chosen Obi, It'd Be A Mistake, Tinubu Has Been Preparing To Be President Since 1990s - Kukah
The Bishop of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Matthew Kukah, has revealed that if he had chosen the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi as his preferred candidate, he would have made the same mistake he made in the past because Bola Tinubu is the only candidate who came prepared for the job and has been preparing since 1990s.
In an interview with Channels Television, Bishop Kukah revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari and the duo of former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo, among others who became Nigerian leaders were unprepared, but he is happy that for the first time, Nigeria is going to have a president in the Calibre of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is well prepared for the job.
The Bishop further revealed that both Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar were not prepared for the presidency, and no president or head of state in the history of Nigeria ever came prepared for the job of the number one citizen of the country except the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, who has been nursing and preparing for the task decades ago.
He said, "If I had chose Peter Obi, it would be a mistake, Tinubu has been preparing to be president since 1990s. You can go all the way down in Nigeria, you're not going to find one single person who has been President or Head of State in Nigeria that came prepared for the job. Atiku and Obi weren’t prepared for this job and that’s why I said we should not make the same mistakes in rushing to just get someone anyhow who is not prepared to be the president of Nigeria again".

naptu2: This ⬆⬆⬆ is the first article that answered the question that I asked yesterday.
This is not 1985. It was difficult to verify this kind of news item in 1985, but today all these agencies and people are online and verification is much easier. That's why I immediately went to the FBI's list of wanted terrorists when this story broke yesterday. There's no Pantami on the list. See for yourself. https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/wanted_terrorists
Now, if it was some top secret list that nobody had access to, do you think that Nigerian newspapers would have access to the information?
That's the other thing, how come the story only appeared on Nigerian news sites (most of them copied it from Daily Independent)? How come it's not on the BBC, CNN, etc?
This looks more like some kind of propaganda campaign. The news was not that he was a 'wanted terrorist' but places on 'watchlist'. He may or may not be as retracted... but my point is that they two different things and this link doesn't answer the questions on people's mind. |

Aconomist: Wasted effort. Why not employ those people to clean up sidewalks and perform maintenance instead of senseless road painting? You think it's senseless?? I personally think it's absolutely important on our roads. Most of the roads are not lit and I have experienced drivers unable to stay in their lane due to lack of the marking/demarcation (especially at night) and on several occasions, drifted into other lanes.... Unarguably, there is a very good reason for it!! |

Emulate Akeredolu Before Fulani Herders Take Over Your Land — Borno Cleric Advises Southern Governors
The Director General, Centre for Justice and Ethnicity in Nigeria, Pastor Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa, has urged governors of southern states to emulate a recent move by their Ondo counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu, to prevent Fulani herders taking over their land
Akeredolu had earlier banned night grazing and given an ultimatum to herders in the state to vacate forest reserves.
Speaking in an interview with SaharaReporters, the Borno cleric described Akeredolu's action as a step in the right direction.
He, however, urged governors from the South-East, South-West and South-South to follow suit.
He said, "The southern governors had better take charge of their lands and send the Fulani people back to the North. Must they stay in the South? I am speaking from experience because I am from Borno State and these people took all our land. They sent our fathers and mothers away from the farms. Our people are in internally displaced persons’ camps; they cannot stay in the villages for fear of being killed.
"Any Fulani you see in Borno is a settler, we accommodated them and see what we got. The target is Southern Nigeria and it is better the people speak up now, so that Fulani will not take over the land."
He also alleged that the Fulani people causing trouble in the country are from neighbouring countries with a mission to take over the economy.
According to him, the majority of the bureau de change operators in Abuja hardly speak Hausa language as they either come from Mali or Niger Republic.
He added, "In Abuja here, the bureau de change operators cannot even speak Hausa, they are not Nigerians but Nigeriens. They have come to take over the economy and once they do that, they will start controlling us."
He revealed that a northern Christian cleric who was kidnapped and later freed was told by his captors that they planned to kill all the Christians in the North and thereafter storm Southern Nigeria.
He said: "That pastor will not tell you this, they are being diplomatic with this kind of information instead of speaking out so everybody will know. The problem of insecurity has come to stay, but we need to speak out so the narrative can change. We can't keep folding our arms while our people are being killed.
"Two of the kidnappers who kidnapped the pastor here in the North are actually based in Benin City, Edo State; they are already in the South. The onus is on the governors to take charge. Federal government will not help anyone." http://saharareporters.com/2021/01/21/emulate-akeredolu-fulani-herders-take-over-your-land-%E2%80%94-borno-cleric-advises-southern
