Coldie:Thanks for this. But let me correct one impression here. Have you ever asked yourself how and where did corruption manage to come into Nigeria's system of government? Now listen, corruption came as a result of bad structure! You can never fight and win over corruption without first dismantling the present structure. That is where you missed it! The present structure created room for nepotism. It created room for looting. It created room for ethnic rivalries. It createf room for self-centeredness. It created room for quota system that has kept every one in the dark. It created room for marginalization, and all the likes. You can't fight corruption and succeed without first correcting the present structural arrangement of Nigeria. |
Friend22:Read between the lines again and see who is doing the forcing... When you attack someone for differing from your opinion, you're already trying to force him to believe what you believe... Having a strange language like Ajami in a collective heritage is tantamount to forcing a strange belief on others who have nothing to do with that belief... English is not a Christian language, so don't make reference to that. If we are truly Nigerians, why do you introduce things that can bring suspicion and division? Apart from English, the Hausa language, Igbo language and Yoruba language are there, as approved official indigenous languages. Use them to depict the unity of Nigeria. Do not forget to always use those things that will unite us rather those ones that bring division... Wisdom is profitable to direct... |
RamessesIV:God bless you dear. Don't mind these millennium children that reason from their anus! |
Coolgent:Your observations are false. What is Ajami doing in Nigeria's collective heritage? If you want a united country, use the language of the people. Is Hausa not the language of the north again? Why Ajami? That shows you have an ulterior motive... |
GOTVee:I don't believe you're truly a Christian. Your style of writing betrayed you a whole lot. Do you want to tell me that English is the language of Christians? You need to go back to school... When you impose Arabic or Ajami as you call it to a majority of people who do not have anything to do with it, what are you trying to achieve? Is Arabic language any of Nigeria's languages? English is Nigeria's official language and does not make every Nigerian a Christian. Arabic is associated with Islam and cannot be forced on anybody's throat, please. |
Sources had reported earlier that a Fulani Muslim Lady identified as Zain Ameen, took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, where she berated the North via her handle @zinadabo1 over the reaction of the region towards peoples’ personal lives amongst others. Zain Ameen, who is the founder of the Initiative for the Voice and Protection of African Women (IVPAW), and Human Rights activist, lamented that “what the North brings to the Nigerian table are Mass Killings, Insurgency, Child Marriage, Leprosy, VVF, out of School Children” among others. The Fulani Muslim Lady expressed sadness that the educated people from the North, are “using sharia courts and mob to kill people while the uneducated are using guns to execute people”, adding that “both are using their sectarian law to judge Nigerians in a country that’s is secular.” Ameen said since the North wants “Islamic government”, the “insensitive greedy hypocrites” as she calls people from the region, should ask for a separate country, adding that they are “the ones forcing this unity on the south.” On this note, she said:- “IF I, A SECULAR FULANI MUSLIM FROM THE NW IS TIRED OF Y’ALL IMAGINE HOW SOUTHERNERS FEEL? I HATE SHARING SPACE WITH Y’ALL WALLAH, IF THERE’S ANYTHING I CAN DO TO CHANGE MY SITUATION, I WILL DO IT. I FEEL SUFFOCATED & UNSAFE. I HATE IT HERE WITH ALL MY HEART, BODY & SOUL.” Shehu Sani Reacted to the post as portrayed below:

PENNSYLVANIA’s Presidential Election Result has been retracted after major ‘Election Fraud’ claims in the state by President Donald Trump. Real Clear Politics– a political outlet with a verified blue tick on Twitter has already retracted calling Pennsylvania for Mr Biden, meaning Mr Trump is now again in the running. Politicalite has amended our prediction following the news and court cases in Pensylvannia by Team Trump. On Monday President Trump’s 2020 campaign filed a lawsuit in the state’s federal court intending to block the state from certifying ‘President-elect’ Joe Biden – meaning he no longer has the 279 electoral college votes which would hand him power from January 20th 2021. The lawsuit was launched by the Trump 2020 campaign and two registered voters. They argue that Pennsylvania’s mail-in voting system “lacked all of the hallmarks of transparency and verifiability that were present for in-person voters.” The lawsuit claims Pennsylvania officials violated the U.S. Constitution by creating “an illegal two-tiered voting system” where voting in-person was subject to more oversight than voting by mail. It was filed against Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar and the boards of elections in Democratic-leaning counties that include Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Bookcvar’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Trump campaign and Republicans have brought numerous lawsuits since Election Day over alleged election irregularities. Judges have already tossed cases in Georgia and Michigan. Separately, some Republican state legislators in Pennsylvania on Monday said in a press release that they would “call for a legislative-led audit of the 2020 election and demand election results not be certified, nor electors be seated, until the audit is complete.” In the United States, a candidate becomes president by securing the most “electoral” votes rather than winning a majority of the national popular vote. Electors generally cast their vote for the winner of the popular vote in their respective states. They are due to meet on December 14th. Edward Foley, who specializes in election law at the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, said the Pennsylvania legislature couldn’t stop the certification of the vote without changing the law. “To do that, they would have to attempt to amend the state statute and that is going to be vetoed” by Pennsylvania’s Democratic governor, said Foley.. The Pennsylvania case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann, an appointee of former President Barack Obama.

deantimes:As if he's speaking for the good of all us... One thing stands clear hear... Garba Shehu sees the Nigerian state as a property of those of them in power.. Any other wish or demand by the people matters not. |
chinjo:Go no further in search of the truth... The government by this singular act has proved to be the Director-in-Chief of this Boko Haram thing. With all the funny playlets from Mohammed Yusuf to Kabiru Sokoto to repentant insurgents through to Chibok girls and the release of certain girls and withholding of Leah Sharibu, bla bla bla.... Then you should know that this thing is from the head. Try to see something and try to say something, you will be a guest to DSS dungeon. If you doubt, ask Obadiah Mailafia or Kim Masara! Is it not shameful that faraway UAE tracked and prosecuted sponsors of this terror group for a country that pride itself in military tactics... See how Odi was levelled down, see how IPOB was harrased with Operation Python Dance, see how they project themselves in Operation Crocodile Smile... The youths that voiced out to bad governance were mowed down as if nothing happened. People's lives are used to play politics. Nigerian civil service work is tilting towards the north and businesses are crumbled. All the interventions by government to alleviate suffering in Nigeria are all lip services. Nigerians are now reeling under the weight of bank loan debts in the name of empowerment while the military crocodile is still smiling and the Python dancing. When I was a child, I was told not to be greedy. When mama or papa gives me double at the expense of others, I would quickly and secretly share with others. Our northern brothers and sisters have shown us another side of greediness. Let a person from the south retire or be redeployed, the north takes over. A person from the west, the north takes over. A person from the east, the north takes over... But when problem comes, the north looks for the south, west and east to lend their hands. At this time of trial, one Nigeria is sacrosanct! It's shameful that we got ourselves this far negatively.... But it's not too late to make amend. We can overcome it only if we can see and recognize the potentials in others as we see in ourselves.... God bless all of us! |

What a week it has been for our own dear native land! Just at the beginning of the month, as the country turned 60 as an independent entity, President Muhammadu Buhari had charged us to “begin sincere process of national healing, eliminate old and outworn perceptions that are always put to test in the lie they are.” What began about a fortnight ago as “genuine concerns and agitations” by Nigerian youths against the excesses of the Special Anti-robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police (SARS), has suddenly transmogrified into expressions of hate against the land, leading to murder, mayhem and arson. My sympathy and condolence to family and loved ones of the dead, irrespective of how they came to their unfortunate ends. How can what began as peaceful protests suddenly turn to incipient anarchy as seen in killings, torching of public buildings and properties, storming of the Bastille and wanton release of hardened criminals, and many others. Hatred. Nigeria is one country passionately hated by some of those who live in it, and it had always been so. Some people call it ‘the mistake of 1914,’ in which what used to be the Northern and Southern Protectorates were forcefully cobbled together by the colonial masters, leading to the emergence of Nigeria. Since then, it has been one uneasy relationship among the people that make up the Union. Suspicion of domination, ethnic rivalry, fear of being given the shorter end of the stick, gaining unfair advantage, and the like, have characterized the relationship. And the overriding sentiment is hatred, fueled and justified by many factors and tendencies. If Nigeria dies, whether now or in the future, hatred killed her. How can a people go about, bearing giant-sized grudges against their country, its leadership, against one another, and expect that country to live in peace and prosperity? It won’t happen. “When we don’t know who to hate, we hate ourselves,” observed a writer. The EndSARS campaign began as an agitation against police brutality, in which there was unanimity of purpose. And suddenly, it became a vehicle of hate. Against leadership, against national cohesion, an opportunity to settle political scores, and equally prepare for power grab in 2023. Hatred came into the mix. The agitation by youths against injustice and oppression suddenly took on a variegated nature. Separatists came under the umbrella, and began to advance their cause, working for the dismemberment of the country. Those beaten black and blue in 2015 and 2019 elections also crept in, and asked for pound of flesh, while also plotting for a return to power in 2023. The venom, which peaceful protests eventually became, can only be summed up by one word. Hatred. How can you begin to club people to death, in different parts of the country? How can you set fire to national assets and institutions, storm prisons and release prisoners into society, all in the name of peaceful protests? No, peace had fled through the window, and hatred was fully in control. There are many factors and agencies of hatred in Nigeria, and until we learn to purge ourselves, the country may never move beyond where it has been pirouetting and gyrating for six decades. Like the macabre dance, it has been one step forward and two steps backwards. Hatred is evinced from many quarters for Nigeria, and for its government and people at any given time. It comes from churches, mosques, professional activists and agitators, interest groups, some elements in the media, so-called analysts who never see anything good, and so on and so forth. When things boil over in graphic demonstration of hatred, it is a culmination of negative sentiments and tendencies. They come in persistent negative postings on social media, which generate and stimulate hate. From hateful messages from the pulpit, as if that was the message of love Jesus Christ handed over to his followers. From unduly critical messages during jumat services. From radio and television programs, in which bile is spewed. From talkshows which become a harangue of government, newspaper articles and columns tailored to instigate and generate dissent, and the like. Eventually, all cumulate in hatred, which finds expression in genuine causes like the EndSARS campaign. When things boil over, they leave sorrow, tears and blood in their wake, as we have seen. And who suffers? The whole country. Who bleeds? Nigeria. And one day, if Nigeria ever dies, despite years of attempting to build and nurture it, hatred would have killed it. A knife in the guts. A bullet to the head. An arrow to the heart of Nigeria, is hatred. Animus against anything that does not directly lead to personal aggrandizement, that does not promote selfish narrow interests. Many times, President Buhari had said it was the right of protesters to indicate their displeasure, as long as it was done within the limits of decency and the law. Disbandment of SARS, he said was only the first step in what would be comprehensive police reforms. Talking of reform of the police, I know the mind of the President on that issue. Sometime in the early days of the first term of the administration, I had dropped into the house one night, as I do once in a while. And it was a few days to the exit of the then Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, who was going into retirement.

Self-funded, the Foundation is increasingly sharing its unique ability to identify, train, mentor and fund young entrepreneurs across Africa, with institutions such as the UNDP, the ICRC and leading European development agencies. Heirs Holdings, which serves as a corporate role model for African businesses, and the Tony Elumelu Foundation will both celebrate 10 years of impact in November. Their mission continues to be inspired by Mr Elumelu’s economic philosophy of Africapitalism, which positions the private sector, and most importantly entrepreneurs, as the catalyst for the social and economic development of the continent. I expected to hear that FG has completed and handed over Niger Bridge for use. Here is another approval and commissioning without the will power to complete. Politics will always be a tool for Nigeria's destruction. Who does that, please!!! |

The Book of Edo chapter 1 vs 1 – 34. 1. Now, it came to pass, in that period when men chose their rulers, after the reign of Lucky the son of Igbenedion. A certain man arose but a brief period for he was not a delight in the sight of the people, then arose from the mount of Auchi whose name was Adams the son of Osho. 2. It was he who was the chief of the publicans and a leader of labour. Later he had become Governor over all the province. And Adams abode as governor for eight years in the state of Edo. 3. Behold, during his reign, the man Adams had excelled in speech and utterred many fierce and lofty words. 4. And his oration was honey and wine to the hearts of the people. 5. He ruled the city with a mighty hand and prophesied with a loud voice unto the four walls of the cities; the North, the South, East and West, saying; 6. “Woe unto the godfathers and naysayers and oligarchists, to the men who have exalted themselves over this city as gods over men". 7 “Again i say woe onto them. For as the day wipeth out the night, I Adams the son of Osho, shall flush out their reigns, and seize their loincloth. 8 With a heavy rod shall i chase them out, and they shall run. I shall break their brass gates, and set their iron bars asunder". And it was so. 9. That at the end of the Eight year, wherefore Oshomole was to complete his reign, a man called Godwin the son of Obaseki had exalted himself saying ”I will rule over Edo as Governor. 10. At the same time, Iyamu the son of Ize had also exalted himself and said i will be Governor. 11. Adams had looked up the face of Obaseki and took his hand and kissed it and spake with a voice saying “Fear not, for i am with you, oh thy faithful servant, I shall bear you upon my wings, thy mouth shall speak good tidings, and in my stead thou shalt reign". 12.And it came to pass, that when the due season for contest came. Adams and Obaseki went together in one accord, to the outskirts of the cities to the highways , to the villages, and to every field. 13. Lo, Oshiomole had held his companions hand saying with a loud voice; “Oh cities of Edo hear ye my counsel, Oh land of my inheritance bear thy comrade’s witness, for this is the man whom thou shall vote for a faithful and just reign "! 14 “Begone from the man Iyamu for he is vain and double faced. 15.Cast not thy votes for him for his mouth is slack. 16 Ye! He has put on the loincloth of a saint but his heart is darker than widow’s ash. 17. Withdraw your firstborne sons, from him, for he dines in the devil’s cult. 18. Withdraw thy daughters, for he is a deformer"! 19.And it came to pass that many people had hearkened unto the voice of Adams the son of Osho. 20 And on the day of reckoning, more votes had been cast for Godwin other than for Iyamu and he had been crowned governor to reign in Osho’s stead. 21 Behold, at about the second year of the reign of Godwin, and like a dream of the night, after the feast of the old year, the new governor and old governor saw discord together. 22 The new Governor had called upon the people saying. ”He wants Your gold and Silver and I said nay!!!. No man shall be god over this land, for this is the very cause ye fought for in your reign, and i say it shall stand". 23 And when it came to the ear of Adams the son of Osho what the new governor had done. He had cried with a loud voice:. 24 “A traitor is on the throne"!!. therefore shall my eyes not be allowed to behold the ungodly stand in judgement for long. 25.For yes! He has bitten the finger that fed him bread. And his rainment must be seized!. Another four years thou will not go! 26 And Godwin the son of Obaseki had responded, “I shall go another". 27 On the fourth year on the month and on the day when a new adversary was to be chosen to travail with Obaseki, Iyamu had comeforth and said “here i am, i will go". And adams spake softly saying ” I am with you". 28 Now the people of the city had rent their clothes and thrown forth their voice in desolation saying to the Adams the son of Osho, who shall we go with?. 29 Whom shall we believe? For the Lord God is not the author of confusion, a man whom ye called a leper yesterday, how turneth he now an angel? And the one whom ye called a messiah the day before how turneth he now leper?. 30 For dignity is not like the sun that comes and goeth. Or like the leopard spots, or like the stars, or the changing seasons. Dignity is like the word of the lord that endureth forever. 31 And it came to pass after these things, that election was held throughout the province of the ancient city on the nineteenth day in the month of September in the year of corona A.D in the reign of Oba Ewuare 11, 32 That the people of Edo decided that light should defeat darkness and godfatherism casted into the bottomless pit. 33 And, Lo The Lord blessed Godwin the son of Nogheghase, the son of Obaseki with more votes over his contenders from the plain of Bini to Esan and across river Ikpoba unto Owan, Etsako and unto Akoko Edo. 34 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of David, which saith, "God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God".

A video of a Nigerian Police Officer has surfaced online doing something different from the job he was sent to do.... Watch video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lss1TejAJTI |
I personally appreciate the video making rounds about Freeze apologizing to Bishop David Oyedepo. It is good for the Christian faith and would go a long way in calming frayed nerves. This is what Christ taught us, not otherwise. Whenever one falls into a mistake, it's nice the person retraces his steps and makes amends. Christianity is the best thing that ever happened to this planet earth... Freeze tweeted: I’m passionately committed to the aphorism of the Free Nation In Christ, but I believe a lot more can be achieved through love. ~FRZ. Each video here -

BUHARImyDOG:You nailed it dear... |
Hmmm, I told Freeze earlier that what he doesn't know is greater than him. My advice for him to take down all those harsh words fell on deaf ears. No one ever kicks the pricks without getting hurt. I did well to analyze the word "bastard". It can mean a lot. Knowledge is not found among those who blow grammar. It is indigenous to homegrown folks. When the Bible says, " curse causeless shall not come" it becomes clear that those who bring ant infested firewood invited the lizards. No matter what your selfish motives are, wisdom is profitable to direct. What an adult sees sitting down will be hard for a child to see even when he climbs a tree. People in Nairaland, let no one be a partaker of what he knows nothing about. Anyone that wants to be popular, let it not be on social media platform, let it be on the value he has built for all to see. Those who build value do not spend money on lawyers.... No, not on doctors. Even architects design their buildings without money. They get free representation. Yes. Some of those who come to their defense benefited from the values they created. Do you want to be popular? Create values! A word is enough for the wise... |
The last has not been heard over the imbroglio between Pastor David Ibiyeomie and Daddy Freeze on Bishop David Oyedepo’s issue. The Founder and General Overseer of Dunamis International Gospel ministry, Dr Paul Enenche has added his voice to the ongoing saga. The fiery clergy in a new video posted on his social media cautioned Daddy Freeze to be careful because he has incurred the wrath of God and a curse is upon him for speaking against Jehovah and his anointed servants such as Bishop Oyedepo and Adeboye. focus7:I can understand how myopic and untaught you are. Must I be Oyedepo/Ibiyeomie follower before I school you in Ecclesiastical issues? Ranting and ignorant children like you are the reason your generation is bereft of true values. Why should I obey your useless command? Why should I listen to a wayward and valueless child? I advise you to run a check on my personality. If a child like you refuses to take advice there is a problem because you can never be groomed to a useful asset. It's a pity! |
Bluntguy:It's a lie... That's a joke right? I know of one Isu LGA in Imo State. Check your writing again..... |
Mikeangelo0433:It is a pity so many people have lost the reason why they became Christians... The Church exists to change people's lives and not people coming to change the Church. If any feels enslaved, the exit door is still open. For God's sake Freezer divorced his wife and anytime he hears sound Bible teaching that contradicts his stand on divorce, he resorts to insults. People of likeminds as he will always be quick to defend him. I stand for the truth.... |
desthan:Speak the truth dear... It's life! |
Elsueno:I am not your bros... Stop beating about the bush and face facts.... I don't follow after any GO, I follow Jesus Christ. I read the Bible and do the right thing. I don't misquote or insult people. |
focus7:This is what was wrong: In my opinion, Freeze is making a great mistake. Why pick on Bishop Oyedepo and posting it online? Is it not to show himself a better Bible student than Oyedepo? That's a great insult for all I care... Now he's running from pillar to post calling on people to help him out... Freeze, if you care to know, Pastor Ibiyeomie did not say anything about your biological parents if actually you are a journalist as you claim. You insulted someone's spiritual father and he replied by asking you "who is your father?" and you cannot truly in Interpret that? He's actually asking you from whom you learned the Bible from. He wanted to know who mentored you. He is not asking to know about your European mother and Yoruba father. Whether your mother is a professor of law or not is not his concern. Freeze, for you to come online to condemn the teaching of Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Ibiyeomie wants to know who your spiritual father is. Who is your pastor? Many impostors have turned themselves into Bible teachers without first knowing Jesus Christ, on what grounds are you teaching us the Bible? Are you born again/Christian or are you a teacher? Now, you talked about a noble profession - journalism which you are trying to defend with all your strength, yet you denigrate the sanctity of the Word of God... Are you approved to teach the Bible to anyone? To be an established journalist, you must be a member of one of the professional organs. Christianity approves of its leaders and Bible teachers to be part of any of its organs as well. We have CAN, PFN, etc, tell us, which of these organs supports and approves of your teachings? Are you not trying to destroy the Church by all these? Journalism is not censored and no journalist is licensed, yet they try to censor themselves through their media organs. Do you see yourself doing constructive journalism with all of these? I can see how slippery you can be, that's why you are bringing all sorts of enjambment to confuse uninformed listeners. The police you are calling has always been there, they are equally investigating your utterances. They are comparing your utterances and that of those you try to demean. And by implication these fellows are important to Nigeria and Nigerians and would not do such thing as trying to kill you. Of what use? Those men of God are above that! What you need to do is to stay away from trouble. Don't look for untimely death with your hand. God secures and fights for His servants. When you insult them you insult God that sent them. Journalism lessons should have taught you about the work of ambassadors. They not only represent a country but have the same respect and honour of a President. Any insult on him is on the country that sent him. So be very careful as you talk next time... |

winningwinner:Sowore too should watch his words... He's not far from the present predicament of Nigerians... |
In my opinion, I think Ibiyeomie was right... Those who support Freeze are truly fatherless... How could you be alive and allow someone who has nothing to offer insult your father and you keep quiet? Then you are not born well... Wait a minute, did he say Freeze came from Lebanon or what? Come to think of it, Freeze is truly an inconsequential being... He has nothing positive to offer me... I don't know about you... The guy is just playing around issues of no consequence. What is his take on the recent fuel pump hike? What is he doing about the recent electricity increase? What was his take on the Southern Kaduna killings? Where was his voice when herdsmen were running berserk? Boko Haram nko? How many of these youths he is misleading are under his study scholarship? How many thieving politicians has he helped to prosecute? How many widows, widowers and the poor has he empowered before or are in his empowerment plan? I don't take inconsequential people serious when they talk. For those saying that Ibiyeomie should be arrested should channel their energies elsewhere... They should begin to call out on those that marched against the increase in pump price during the regime of Jonathan to equally help us in occupying Nigeria again... What we have now is worse than then... No wonder Freeze is insulting someone's father... It has something to do with mental depression caused by a failed government... |
✍️Reno Omokri Dear Femi Fani-Kayode Thank you for your kind rejoinder to my response to your take on Mark Zuckerberg's comment on the Hausa language. Here is my response. That Mark Zuckerberg called Hausa a unique language is not born out of any conspiracy against the Yoruba, Igbo or any Southern Nigerian ethnic nationality. The Hausa language is not an invention of the Hausa people. The language was invented by God and so whenever anyone praises it, they are not praising the Hausa people, they are praising God. You say I am naive for accepting, as Zuckerberg does, that the Hausa language is unique. Really? Hausa language is the only indigenous African language that is officially spoken in five African nations including Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Cameroun and Sudan. If your argument is true and I am indeed naive then you would have to agree with me that BBC News, Radio France Internationale, Voice of America - VOA, Deutsche Welle, China Radio International and Voice of Russia ,to mention a few, are equally naive because, like Facebook, they all have a Hausa language service. You may be right about the British/American conspiracy. I never delved into that and I defer to your superior knowledge of history and statecraft. Your father, Remilekun Fani-Kayode, QC, was a first class statesman and the apple did not fall far from the tree. My point of departure from you was strictly and solely as touching your insinuation against Mark Zuckerberg. By including Hausa as an official Facebook language, Zuckerberg recognizes the fact that while there are literally tens of millions of Yoruba, Igbo and other Nigerian language speakers who can communicate in both their native language and English, the same cannot be said about Hausa speakers. In Benin, Togo, Brazil and other nations where you have a large concentration of Yoruba speakers, these omo oduduwas can express themselves in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese. There are literally tens of millions of Hausa speakers who can only communicate in Hausa. This does not make them illiterate. Indeed, long before we in the South could read and write, these Hausa speakers have been reading and writing Hausa in the centuries old Ajami script. It is to accommodate these particular class of Hausa speakers that, in my opinion, Facebook added Hausa as an official language, and not as part of some conspiracy of Britain and America to undermine the Southern parts of Nigeria. You may recall that Zuckerberg and his wife recently endowed Andela with a $25 million grant. That would be a most strange way to undermine the South given that all of Andela's founders and most of their fellows are from the South. Talk is cheap but money makes things happen. Zuckerberg talked about Hausa, but he put his money in a Lagos tech hub. Does that not say something to you? The mistake we in the South often make is to see ordinary Hausas as our enemies. Not true. The Hausas as a people are some of the most decent Nigerians and are to be differentiated from the feudalists who have retarded their progress as an ethnic nationality. What they need from progressive and freedom loving Nigerians is solidarity not hostility. This was the point of view that the late Aminu Kano tried to pass across to us down South. What Facebook has done deserves commendation and not condemnation. Again, having said this, I must maintain that I have a high regard for your intellect and this intervention should not be interpreted as a confrontation. God bless you. Reno Omokri

Even though I've been a born again Christian of over 25 years, I think we Christians really need to let the sleeping Dog lie. I have been to several Arab nations on tourism and Evangelism and I can attest to the fact that Arabic remains one of the unique and outstanding languages on earth. What is the big deal in having Arabic inscriptions on Naira notes and Army uniform? Nigeria is a country of Muslim majority and due to their numerical advantage I think the Muslims deserve to have the Arabic as a national symbol. I mostly prefer to read my bible in Arabic language for better understanding despite being a Christian. The Muslims in this country have never complained of the fact that the national language is English. The Christian missionaries brough English language to Nigeria and our dear Muslim brothers easily accepted it without fuss. Why are we Christians trouble some unnecessarily? We Christians really to be careful not to cause a national disaster
