Traditional rulers walk Ize-Iyamu and Oshiomhole out of palace in Edo The unexpected is beginning to happen between the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and his ‘principal sponsor’, Adams Oshiomhole, the ousted APC national chairman. Many party members were surprised to notice the two principal APC actors getting involved in early loggerhead following the shameful rejection of the APC candidate in Edo Central Senatorial District on Monday because of the ill actions and maltreatment of the zone by Oshiomhole when he was Governor of Edo State. National Daily gathered that the APC governorship candidate, Ize-Iyamu, was sent out of the palace of the Enojie of Igueben, His Royal Highness, Ehizojie Eluojierior II, when APC leaders visited the traditional ruler who had earlier invited other royal fathers in the district. A participant at the disgraceful meeting disclosed that the APC candidate accompanied by the former Edo governor, Oshiomhole, were ordered to leave Esan land by the traditional rulers. They scolded Oshiomhole who in his political fury, abandoned the Edo Central in the eight years of being governor of the state. The traditional rulers further recalled the dethronement of the Enojie of Uromi, His Royal Highness, Anselm Aidenojie 11, by Oshiomhole, who was later reinstated by Governor Godwin Obaseki. More so, Oshiomhole was accused of taking the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly away from Edo Central. Barrister Andrew Emwata had on Kakaki programme on the AIT on Tuesday monitored by National Daily from Lagos, highlighted that when Edo South takes the governor, Edo North takes the deputy governor, then, the Speaker of the State Assembly is zoned to Edo Central. He said that Oshiomhole subverted the power sharing scheme, punishing Edo Central. This, Emwata said, was reversed by Governor Obaseki who zoned the Speaker of the House to Edo Central. Emwata further said that because Oshiomhole suddenly realized that APC is going for the governorship election campaign in Edo Central, he quickly manipulated the illegal appointment of Speaker of the House from Edo Central, and attempting to dethrone the legal Speaker of the House from Edo Central installed under the leadership of Obaseki. According to Emwata, Ize-Iyamu has denied that the illegal inauguration of the renegade 14 APC lawmakers was not done at his residence. Emwata had earlier said that Oshiomhole, Ize-Iyamu and other APC members were walked out of the palace of the Enogie of Igueben. The earlier palace source who observed the humiliation of the APC candidate at the meeting revealed that Ize-Iyanu turned to blame Oshiomhole for his misdeeds that are causing them election misfortunes across the state. He added that the ousted APC national chairman responded, telling him to be courageous to take responsibility for his actions. The palace source was cited to have highlighted: “The two unwanted visitors engaged in hot exchange of unpleasant words in Igueben after they were told to leave Esan land by the monarchs who had converged on Igueben for the cold reception. “In the ensuing hot exchange of words, Ize-Iyamu blamed Oshiomhole for his woes in Esan land and other parts of Edo State where they have faced similar rejection since the party commenced campaigns. “We overheard Oshiomhole saying he couldn’t be blamed for all Ize-Iyamu’s problems. The former APC national chairman said there can be no smoke without fire and told the governorship candidate to be courageous enough to take responsibility for some of his past actions.”

A Nigerian Muslim group, MURIC, has rejected the timetable for the forthcoming WASSCE - MURIC's director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, said there are at least three clashes between the examination periods and Muslim prayers on Fridays - Akintola asked the examination council to adjust the timetable while also asking the Nigerian government to intervene. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has rejected the schedule of the 2020 West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). The Muslim group said the schedule clashed with "the designated time for Muslims’ Friday prayers, Daily Trust reports. The WASSCE examinations will begin on Monday, August 17. Reacting to the released timetable, MURIC said some of the subjects clash with the Jumua’ah (Friday) prayers, according to a statement by its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola. The statement reads: “WAEC is deliberately creating a wedge between young Muslims and the mosque. “A quick glance at the timetable recently released by WAEC shows that there are at least three clashes between examination periods and Muslim prayers on Fridays: Management-in-Living (2 pm, Friday 14th August, 2020); Literature-in-English (2 pm, Friday 21st August); Health Science (1.30 pm, Friday, 4th September)." MURIC noted that it had earlier released a press statement reminding the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to ensure that the timetable does not clash with Friday prayers. The group, however, said WAEC ignored the statement. "These are papers that Muslim candidates are also expected to take. The implications are very serious. “WAEC is deliberately creating a wedge between young Muslims and the mosque. WAEC is making it impossible for Muslim youth to worship. The examination body is encroaching upon Allah-given fundamental rights of Muslim candidates to access freedom of religion as guaranteed by Section 38 (i) & (ii) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," MURIC added. The group, therefore, called the attention of the federal government and the Ministry of Education to the issue. “WAEC is therefore invited to take notice of impending action by Muslim candidates unless it adjusts its timetable to accommodate Muslim Jumu‘ah service during the coming examinations. Muslim candidates must be given three hours every Friday. This is non-negotiable. Nigerian Muslims will liberate themselves from slavery, serfdom and religious apartheid if government is lackadaisical. The only thing MURIC opposes is violence. “Our message to WAEC is very clear and simple: ‘We warned you early enough but you decided to dare Nigerian Muslims with your satanic timetable. We are returning it ‘back to sender’. Adjust your timetable and stop provoking Muslims forthwith. Let the Muslims go," the statement concludes. However, the Association of Private School Owners of Nigeria (APSON) expressed fears that there would be ‘mass failure’ of students in the forthcoming WASSCE. APSON on Thursday, July 30, attributed its prediction to poor preparation of students due to the COVID-19 lockdown. This was contained in a statement jointly issued by Bishop Godly Opukeme and Bishop Elakhe Imoukhede, chairman and national director of administration of the association in response to the federal government’s directive that schools should resume academic activities on August 4, only for exit classes. The statement said that to avert mass failure, there should be four to six weeks of academic revision to enable students to adequately prepare for the examination. “These candidates have been out of school for over four months, during which some have abandoned their books and be engaged in economic activities to assist their parents,” APSON said. It explained that the students needed a minimum of one month to re-acclimatize to the school environment. It stressed that: “We wish to reiterate that, to avoid mass failure, the students need between four and six weeks for effective revision as our people are used to the conventional schooling and are yet to fully come to terms with e-learning.” Source: https://www.legit.ng/1352919-muric-rejects-2020-wassces-timetable-anti-muslim.html

Borno state commissioner of police, Mohammed Aliyu who confirmed the incident said one person was killed while 16 others sustained injuries. The GuardianJul 30, 2020 reveals that Senator Ali Ndume has criticised the Federal Government’s amnesty to terrorists, saying that a repentant Boko Haram member, who was recently integrated into the community, killed his father, stole his wealth and disappeared. Speaking on a BBC Hausa programme monitored in Kaduna State, Ndume, who represented Borno South in the Senate, queried government’s rationale for spending the nation’s funds to ‘reform’ the terrorists. The lawmaker alleged that many of the ‘repentant’ Boko Haram members had since gone back to their former den. He said: “They are like Kharajites. Many among those released have since run away. They will never repent. The government should know what to do about them, but not re-introducing someone who killed your parent or relations to you. “Haba, not that he even apologised to the government. His thinking is that the government has failed; hence they are being pampered.” According to him, the government’s amnesty programme is unacceptable, insisting that the right thing is to stop the banditry. “If there is sincerity of purpose in this, those in the Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps should have been trained in various trades, so that they could start life again,” he added. The BBC also featured a widow, who condemned the programme because the terrorists killed her husband. “This thing is hurting. They killed my husband and son in my presence. I am left suffering with four young orphans. Till death, I will never forget that day. “Look at the kind of care given to the Boko Haram members. We that have suffered for six years now are not taken care of. Truly, government has not done justice here,” she said. A male victim also told the BBC that Boko Haram killed his relations and chased them out of their home. “They killed four of my close relations. In what capacity are we going to live with them again? Do we see them as human beings or animals? Or do they want us to meet them and take revenge? There will be a serious problem.” “Go to Gwoza and Bama; many of the ‘repentant’ terrorists have rejoined the bandits. There is nothing you can do to change a Boko Haram member,” he added. |
myboy2111:Ask yourself which year was that? He is not the only one, at that time three credits is allowed for admission. Research it... |

Horus:Yea, you have practiced your religion for years without converts, why won't they ban all pastors for you? Even if they ban all pastors, your religion will still not grow. Yes, no one needs the worship of Satan! |
Goke7:He's trying to teach you that he's a very good researcher. Accusing him of no job is lame. History to him is the way to go. Forget history, forget your mission on earth. There are three unique people in the job of journalism: those who make news, those who write/report news and those who read the news. He has done his job, he reported the news by doing research, now you read his news. Tell me, who is the jobless one here? Be sincere... |
helinues:What delusion! What has APC as a party donated to Nigerians? |
PassingShot:Keep deceiving yourself. Bitter truth ke? Do you have Truth at all in your life? |
Remii:Just listen to that crap! Never a serious human being. Don't do something, keep blaming others for your woes. |

Thanks to the local policemen we see on the roads, our minds has been stereotyped to thinking that to be a policeman in Nigeria, you have to have a pot belly, an oversized not-so-good-looking uniform, a bicycle cap and of course, the signature police club, better known as “Kondo Olopa“. Seven out of every ten Nigerian policemen fits the above description so it’s no wonder when a narrative is being given about a Nigerian policeman, that’s the image that comes to our head, just like it is now in yours, right? Well, we’re not going to be talking about the larger ratio as mentioned above, this time, we’re focusing on the smaller ratio, which we even think is 2:1 cause the policeman we’re about to tell you about isn’t your regular Nigerian policeman. Bruno Chigozie Opara is not like your regular policeman, matter of fact, he’s the kind of policeman that when they want to make security ads for policemen, he’s the model for the job or maybe for a romantic music where a lady got arrested by an handsome cop. Bruno is quite aware of his uniqueness and it definitely has to be why he flaunts this uniqueness on social media. Photos from him hitting the gym, to taking car selfies in his uniform to having dinner with a family member et all, Bruno is sure one officer who lives the life of a social media star. Because of this, he has garnered the attraction of many Nigerians, especially the ladies who would be glad if he arrested them. What do you think? Is he the most handsome Police Officer in Nigeria?

The last regime you vilified sold it less! Tell me, why should I clap for you? |
Leave PDP alone...! Kindly tell us what you did with all the money you RECOVERED during this regime... In the face of ravaging "COVIK 1-9", people are still wondering if they have a government, there you are talking PDP! It's shameful! Oh, I forgot that the almighty Femi said the President should be left alone while Nigerians cry for help... Femi, diaris God oooh!!! |
PassingShot:Okay, that's another version of the blame game? I thought some people are wise... Imagine starting to blame others on their incapacitation... Waaoh! You can't get tired of this dumb game huh! Good leaders are those who take responsibility for their actions and not blaming them on others. Nigerian government must be very careful not to insult the sensibilities of Nigerians. Just listen to what you're saying in public without shame... Hmmmm, Nigeria is truly gone! |
NwaNimo1:As if you pray at all... Every witch and wizard that is stopping Christians from praying because they are being disturbed, I command you to catch fire in Jesus' Name! Amen. |

Happening in Bauchi Now! Traders occupying the Bauchi State Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) Shops in Bauchi metropolis are now lamenting and asking why the POWA Task Force officers should be collecting their land dues at this period of lockdown when everyones priority is just to survive. The traders who managed to open their shop expecting to have something to take care of their families were seen protesting why POWA should be locking up their shops without pity. Bauchi State is on partial lockdown which allows business activities from 8:00am to 2:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, only . These traders who opened for business this morning having observed yesterdays total lockdown were driven out of their shops while watching policemen lock their shops up. The organized traders said they wrote the POWA authorities pleading that they be given a little time, but they got a quick reply which categorically told them that anyone who refuses to pay now should have his/her shop locked up. And this is what they have come to do. POWA has shops at Yandoka Road adjacent Mobile Police and Bauchi Police Headquarters. There is another long line of shops at Ahmadu Bello Way, opposite Bauchi State Low Cost Housing Estate, and the one at Yelwa Police Barracks numbering about 220 lockup shops. What is land due? The land due is an agreed sum of money paid to POWA yearly by owners of the shops who act as landlords/ladies. When any of these people sublet, they collect the money from the occupier who later settles with the landlady/landlord. As legal these collections are, it is important for POWA who are mothers themselves to understand the period everybody finds himself/herself. This is not the best period to collect dues.! Right now, many traders are confused and do not know what else to do. Dear Nairalanders, are these POWA people right in doing this at this time?

GamalNasser:If I am shooting a film or having a road show and in the course of carrying out my assignment my camera picks you, I would go any length with all the rushes without getting anyone's permission. Those lawyers defending Saraki and co are just learning work. The judge must have intimidated them. Nothing for that woman as long as this case is concerned. |
amalab30:That's why he ranks higher than you. Stop the noise and expose those properties... |
SangoOlukosoOba:So you and your family were part of the free-for-all looting at that time? No wonder your father ran into hiding ever since... |
vanida6:Hmmm, you've bought the story wholesale already...? |
Okay, Abuja was named after the first settler called Abubakar who was fair in complexion (jaa in Hausa language). They refer to him as Abu jaa (the fair Abu). Hence the name Abuja! Same thing applied to Suleja, named after the fair Suleiman ... Op, take note. |
yyba:Okay, you did not tell us about those who were infected with diseases and died. You did not tell us about those who were used for rituals. You did not tell us about those who were beaten and battered and sent packing because of promiscuity, etc. Your assertion is that every woman should begin to misbehave and when your own brother is looking for a wife, you'll make sure you traverse land and sea to make sure he marries a virgin. Op, let me tell you that your support for this is because you girls went to various fellowships with ulterior motives just to deceive unsuspecting young men to fall for your antics. I cannot tell of anyone who served God wholeheartedly and got abandoned. You can't serve God and demons at the same time. No one can do God 419! |
StreetFight:Why are you so daft? You think because your father is a never-do well, then others will follow suit? Be careful how you address your issues. There are people's fathers here that a thousand of your Abba Kyari can never achieve what they achieved. If he is better than your father, others are far better than him... Please, be guided... |
Rubbish! Police and Civil Defence officers have been shooting and killing children playing football and drivers conveying foodstuffs... What makes this gathering different from others? Law breakers in government!!! |
Chai, this op can lie eeh! This story is made in China... If the story is true, the pictures are lies because those pictures are still in my collections since two years now. They are even in video clips. People accused Okonjo-Iweala of representing a true story with false pictures, now, another lie has emerged... |
