chemashie: @ wip, I have 1st Class in Chemistry and a current postgraduate student (MSc) at Unilag. I want to know if there is PhD programmes in Chemistry at EMU? How can i go about the admission processes, do i stand a chance of getting fellowship with the school? Thank you in anticipation. You can mail to bankolemutolib@yahoo.com
Thank you for the interest shown in EMU. We do offer PhD program in chemistry and the only specializations are organic, polymer and environmental. The admission processing is easy. kindly send me your Bachelor and Msc transcripts and certificate with your international passport within 3weeks the admission will be ready. Unfortunately we do not offer fellowship for PhD applicants in chemistry department you may be qualify to write research assistant exams and this has to do with available positions. Currently at Chemistry department there are just 4 positions for research assistant and more positions maybe be available if any of the assistant graduate. With full time research assistant, you will be exempted from paying tuition fees and you earn salary equivalent to 130k naira monthly and after your qualification the salary increases.

But if you dont have research assistant position, then you must be ready to pay full fees almost 10,000USD for the whole program and may last 3-4years and note assistant position is highly competitive.

What has religion got to do with condolence message? Its only Nigeria and related countries that religion is turning people up and down but in the west or most European countries they do not take religion like you people take it that's why you see less of hazard in there. Anyway EMU wish the affected family quick recovery.

Yeah we have some numbers of Nigerian doing perfect well academically and resourceful wise and aim to return home after their studies to impact the acquired skills to the Nigerian environment and we still have some that traveled out of Nigeria wit the aim never to return again to Nigeria. TravelRe: Is Turkey A Good Place To Hustle ? by wip7: 3:34pm On May 31, 2012
Vicjustice: Though, Turkey is more developed than 60% of the countries in the EU, it is still not a place to "hustle"; actually, no country is a place to "hustle" without the right papers nowadays
You have gotten the direct and 100% truthful answer quoted here. Turkey is a developed nation and living expenses a bit low to most EU countries unfortunately higher than African countries, due to this hustling wages is low as well although paid qualified job like academic field (Lecturer, graduate assistants, researcher)is comparable to most universities in the USA, UK and Most EU and many other qualified certificate based jobs.

As a student, you can live a moderate life of 350lira monthly including accommodation based on location in Turkey (small cities or district are cheaper compared to Bigger cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir etc)and you might find casual hustling jobs ranging 600-1500 lira monthly (construction jobs (Tedious and laborious), hotel job, car wash, grass cutting, mechanic etc). Note that, most jobs will or might require you to have basic or advance Turkish language proficiency (to live better, you need to learn Turkish). As a student, you are limited due to lectures, homework and most employers might not want get you work permit and if you work illegal, might be hazardous.

I will advise you have full finance possibly 1year or more before you embark on the journey. You should have full tuition fees , accommodation and living expenses for whole one year or more, after which you must have mastered the environment and find your way around.

Note: Turkey do not like drug paddlers, criminal act cos all these will lead you into deep hole jail which you might be forgotten for years. Most of the hustling jobs are just for sustainable living not to make you buy hummer jeep or build castle. Do try smaller cities like Izmir, Tuzla, mamara etc for your studies. wish you luck!

johnck: Hello wip, i'm a first year(1st semester) student of emu.plz i want to know: if one gets above 3.7 or 4.00 gpa in the faculty of business and economics.what kind of scholarsip will one be given. Also, what is the requirement to get 100% scholarship since(i'm already on 50% though)? Thanks in anticipation of ur kind reply.
We have top up scholarship, we collect all students above 3.5 and find Index ratio and set a standard per the highest index. After this we can top additional 10% or 25% or 35% it depends. so incase you have 50% and we top you with 15% then you are on 65% scholarship and everytime you maintain or increase the CGPA you have additional schoolarship until you reach 100%. If you drop from you CGPA then we drop our scholarship. possibly you can only be on 100% if your CGPA is 4.00.

Note you dont need to come to my office to apply, after results is out we have access to all students result and we do it and account office will inform you atleast 10days before registration of that semester ends.

guttentag: i am tired of Nigeria education system so i want to relocate to another country where i can study and i suggested china, please any advise on how to get a student visa?
You will need to be admitted first into one of the universities BUT IF YOU ARE FROM NIGERIA I STRONGLY DOUBT YOU WILL BE ADMITTED (not hearsay but i know very well). Most province in China has stopped admitting Nigerian since 2yrs now into their universities and kindly be aware that there 3 types of uni in China, those recognized by Chinese government (state or public), Private uni and some not private and not under government. The last class may admit you but when you are done with your education you might find it so hard to attest your certificates at the Chinese MED. After you are admitted, the university will required you pay either full year fees or semester fee in order to issue you JW201/202 after which you will need to apply for your student visa (X)which is a single entry visa valid for 3 months. You will need to be a regular student, non-criminal, non-drug friendly, non-fraudlike to be allow to renew your residency by the local authority. Also pls be informed that Drug-related offence in China is CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.
