My cousin just got an admission for a masters degree programme in EMU. He was also awarded with a scholarship of 50perc discount.
He was aked to go for authentification of credentials in Fed Min of Education, make a part payment of the fees and then proceed to Turkish embassy for visa.

Now, as you are an agent of the school, I need to know these procedures in details:

1. How much does it cost to authentic credentials in Min of Education?
2. How long does it take for it to be authenticated? How many working hours or days?
3. After the authentification, should he proceed straight to the Turkish embassy for visa or does he need to book and an appointment?
4. If he's to book an appointment, how long will it take for Turkish embassy to respond as school starts middle of February?
5. When is the deadline for booking for an appointment with the embassy?

I am in charge of scholarship in EMU and i can tell you only about admission and scholarships in EMU. I cant answers your questions above since i do not work with the Ministry nor the embassy. If you ask me questions about scholarship and admission process i have 100% answers.

Fernandez88: The Turkish Embassy, Abuja, is yet to give-out Appointment Dates to those of us that we've sent them our Bookings a month ago! Pls WIP! What do we do about this?

I just hope you have not WRONGED the embassy or display your character again to them. If you had wronged them, am scared you might not be given appointment date, I just Hope you did not. The embassy stated on the website to email them just ONCE in a month. Your character is to email 10000000 times, so maybe you have wronged them by this your attitude. I said this becos you kept disturbing us with multiple emails writing to rector, to me, to registrar, to vice rector, to our gate-man to our sectary just on same subject. Anytime we reply you, you kept bombarding us with your email until we got so tired of you and we stopped replying your email.

I hope you have not displayed such to the embassy anyway. If not then wait for the embassy they shall attend to your appointment. Wish you luck

Another batch of names have been sent today to the embassy, for those that have not make appointment, should do so and send us their flight details 3days before arrival. Application and payment is still on till Middle of January.

Thats the fee for nursing program at EMU but unfortunately the program is not opened for international student for now cos is taught in Turkish. Alternatives are Pharmacy or Molecular genetics and biology.

What about we that we have booked and sent our Appointment Request to the Embassy for Appointment Dates, and yet we have not even got any responds from them ever sine we have mailed them the Request. Please WIP! I do not know if EMU could come-in to this issue. Because! I have heard a situation where the Embassy eventually gives the students/applicants far dates that might even exceed the registration deadline of EMU. Thanks!!!

Check your SPAM BOX. If you do not receive their reply, kindly wait cos this is festive season and most embassies will observe holiday. Classes starts Feb at EMU so you still have enough time.

slowizy: @WIP 7.. Please what does it mean to Authenticate my O' Level? I will be submitting my original O' Level, do i still need to take it to the Ministry for Authentication? Thanks for your swift response..

To Authenticate your O' Level, means to prove the authenticity of your O' Level or confirm your result. The body that will do that for you in Nigeria is Ministry of Education. Kindly go there for procedure to do that.

Await ur swift response.

You can only provide those (CAC or TAX), if you own a company or organization which mandates you to pay TAX. If you doo not have such, then you dont need it. It may be advisable if you write a letter stating what you do to earn your money and how the money will sustain you while you are studying up here. This letter will serve like a guarantee letter showing you can handle your finances without turning to destitute or menace here.

We shall stop sending names to embassy from 20th January. So if you can make your payment before then and you receive your confirmation letter from us, then you are good to go. Yes you will need to book appointment as stated by Turkish embassy.

And paid my tuition my fees and waiting for my telex but the name in my admission letter and passport are a bit different so am asking if I need a court affidavit da name in my passport is Sunusi Baballe Ilah while my admission letter is Sanusi Baballe Ila.

In EMU, names on Admission letter are prepared based on names on your result. So kindly check the names on your result and cross check with your Acceptance letter, both must match. We do not prepare admission base on names on passport. If you bear different name then be ready to defend or explain yourself to the consular at the embassy, We dont need Affidavit, The Embassy may need that. Enquire from them.

Thanks for the interest shown to study in EMU, after you apply for admission, then you will apply for the scholarship. The scholarship committee will decide the award based on your result and you can find the corresponding fees to pay on our website. The admission is still ON.

Basically, the thesis based option has more research, while the non-thesis has more classes. However, ALL master’s students must conduct some sort of research or project.

Thesis students will conduct a research project, which will likely involve less courses and these students must write a thesis, which is likely to be published depending on the graduation requirement of the concerned school. The thesis option is for students who wish to get a background in intense research, such as students who are going to pursue a Ph. D., or students who will be conducting research.

Non-thesis option is designed to be more flexible and is tailored for students who don’t necessarily need a great deal of research training. Non-thesis students will take more hours of electives than thesis students, but they take fewer hours of research credit. Non-thesis students still must do Project. Read more on google and choose what you want!!

Thank you for the interest you have shown to study at EMU, with the mentioned results, you will be awarded 50% scholarship at EMU. Cyprus is not a country to stay back and hustle is basically for studies and leave after studies. You can only live legally in Cyprus either on student resident permit or on work permit. Cyprus is not big enough to hire foreign computer engr with Msc so it will be difficult to stay back and hustle. I advise you search for other countries. Wish you luck!

Pls wip7 do u know when EMU's 1st batch of names for the spring 2013 feb. Intake wuld be sent to Abuja? I was told by EMU that the list was gonna be sent to Nicosia by week of 19th Nov. Unfortunately, we have age limit at Eastern Mediterranean University. Currently any intending undergraduate applicants born below 1989 cannot be admitted into our University and since you are 27years it will be difficult. Also you will be required to have roughly 20,000USD yearly to study Medicine at our university and we do not offer scholarship for the medical program. Lastly, we admit students into the medical programs only during every FALL semester (Sept).

NO, the next admission period is SPRING and you can only apply for SPRING now. You can make application for FALL 2013 starting from May 2013.

I tried to reply you via my email but i guess your email is having problem, so am using this medium to reply you that Cyprus is only meant for studies and since you were deported from Malaysia, it will be difficult to come into Cyprus and level of criminality is been watched here in Cyprus and you might be deported again. In short, Cyprus is BASICALLY FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO STUDY not work.

I understand you perfectly. Just defer and reapply by January. Ensure you get new acceptance and new confirmation letters from us early enough. Ensure the names on your documents are same, no mistake with date of birth, make sure your name on your olevel result tallies with the name on your admission letter. These are some of the flimsy excuse the Turkish embassy gave us when will requested to know why genuine students are denied. At a point, we were told they have strong believe those they denied do not intend to study at TRNC but to use it as escape route.

Anyway visa is a privilege so if you are given by January that would be fine, before January hit me on email and we shall write a letter to the embassy again for you. If you are denied, you will be refunded be rest assure!

How do you know I have not attended to him nor follow up his issues? Be practical please, His case, has been answered and I have taken enough time to reply his emails. I have resolved and ensured over 25 visa denied cases have been reapproved by Turkish embassy, and those have followed the suggestions given to them. I am trained scientist that works with rules, prescriptions and procedures. I will not repeat nor attend further to patient asking same questions all the time without taking earlier given prescription. I have policy and do not misconstrue that for something else.

Fees will be refunded only if you are denied visa and is verified by EMU. EMU is located in TRNC not Canada nor UK. Each university/country plays according to a set policies by the board of directors or governmental chieftain.

profGinger: What is the refund policy of universities in TRNC.incase one his denied visa.it is important to ask.so that a prospective student money won't be trapped in island.I need comment from universities agent and staffs.

Our University (EMU), refund all genuine visa denial cases. If a student is denied and we verified from the embassy and we try to resolve the denial cases and proofed negative, within weeks we refund the concerned student. This semester, we had 27 cases from our records denied and only 4 cases as i know have not be re-issued and were asked to re-apply in 6months. From our meetings and information from the denied cases, most are due to students problems and some Nigerian factor as they would say. The remaining cases have offered to re-apply soon and 2 seek for refund and one has been refunded just 8days after her application was reviewed and one still thinking to seek for refund or re-apply.
