Bros,if or when i go for my WAEC testimonial or certificate i expect my picture taken in 1998 to be on the certificate.
This is definitely fake as the picture there is a picture of a 98 year old man on an exam taken more than 40 years
How will they get a picture of you taken in 1998? People do not take passport photos even year of their lives. The take passport photos as requested and for identification purposes.
During my own time, passport photos were not required to be affixed inside certificates, so what happens if I had not collected my WAEC certificate and I request for it today? Do I have to go back in time to take a passport photo?

It is you that is insinuating that a certificate is useless. You said Buhari has no certificate whatsoever and I only pointed out that Buhari is the most accomplished nigerian dead or alive, and if one can attain that level of attainment without a certificate, then what use is a certificate? You that have a certificate, have you attained the level of a councillor before or even a manager, not to talk of a director? Have anyone in your family attained the position of a minister before (and I am certain your people holds many certificates).
Senator adeleke has never attained anything in life before filling in for his brother about 2 years ago. He has no evidence of obtaining any certificate.

when did he write the exam, what year?
As he applied for the certificate and was issued in 2018, you want him to travel back in time to 1959, take a passport photograph and then bring it back to 2018 to be affixed in his WAEC certificate?

Do you understand what the word forgery means? How can WAEC, a body that issues a document issue a forgery? It is like saying Nigerian printing and minting is printing fake naira.

Only president? Buhari attained the office of a Governor, minister of petroleum, a GOC, a head of state, and PTF chairman and a president, all without a certificate as you said. Buhari has the highest CV in the history of Nigeria. If one can attain almost these without any certificate, a certificate is useless.

That's what these People do not understand, the constitution is the supreme law of the land, it says you cannot become a governor if you are not a Nigerian or you do not possess school certificate, and someone is quoting an electoral act. Electoral act cannot supercede the constitution. Even if he had been sworn in, the minute you discover he is a non Nigerian, he is out.

The Saudi government didn’t publicly disclose the name of the lady. For the OP to now fabricate the names of twenty phantom people just to attack a particular region is silly and condemnable. Saudi Arabia did not execute 20 Nigerians at any point in time. This thread should be closed down and the op sanctioned for deliberately posting false information.
I stopped reading immediately I saw hausa/fulani names and not a single south eastern or south south name. I knew the letter was a work of fiction with fictitious names.
Have you ever heard of hausa/Fulanis being arrested for drug smuggling anywhere in the world, not to talk on being on death row?

My annoyance is that instead of some igbos admitting that there is a problem within their society which makes productive youths take to crime in foreign countries thereby bringing shame to all of us, they rather first go on the offensive, attacking their perceived enemy tribes.

I am not from Osun, I only schooled in Osun for 7 years.
I am also of the belief that if the Good people of Osun voted for an armed robbery, then an armed robbery should be their governor. I am only wondering why a great state like Osun keep voting illiterate "armed robbers" and then still complain that things are bad.

That's even besides the issue. The issue for now is if Senator Adeleke is constitutionally qualified to run for governorship. If the supreme Court rules he is, then governor he shall be.

NOBODY CAN STOP THE WORK OF GOD, NOT EVEN TINUBU OR BUHARI

Either good or bad judgment was delivered by Abuja high court yesterday and Adeleke will definitely appeal the judgment while election petition appeal is ongoing.

I am using this medium to call on good people of Osun state and esteem supporters of PDP and Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke not to hesitate any form of fear as the judgment gave yesterday by Abuja high court as no effect on struggle to reclaim our stolen mandate from Ajele's and APC.

Note:-
● WAEC the star witness in the case have cleared Senator Ademola Adeleke
● Similar case was heard and struck out by High court of Justice in Osogbo
● Osun election petition Tribunal also cleared him on same issue

APC is only trying to distract us from the existing struggle, since they aware of their failure at appeal and supreme court. It is clear to entire world that Senator Ademola Adeleke won Osun governorship election and he possess every prerequisite to contest as governor of the state.

What happened yesterday is a clear indication that Oyetola and APC is aware they will fail at the two remaining election courts, so they are looking for more ways to blackmail the Judiciary after their failed protest.

No amount of intimidation or distraction can stop us from reclaiming our stolen mandate, let us remain focus and be prayerful.

why don't you add its equivalent to it also.
Because even based on its equivalent senator Adeleke does not qualify as he has no proof that he has any certificate equivalent to WAEC. Maybe certificates from other countries.

If the word certificate is deleted and rendered Secondary School level, it mean anyone that has ever attained secondary school level, ie drop outs, even students that can prove he or she had spent just one day in school would be eligible. No need to sit for WAEC exams.

In his ruling yesterday, the court presided over by Justice David Oladimeji noted that the claims of the plaintiffs that Adeleke does not possess school certificate cannot disqualify him from contesting the election because the constitution does not state that a candidate for the office of the governor must possess a certificate .

Justice Oladimeji stressed that the constitution only stipulated that the candidate must be educated up to secondary school level, and that with the acknowledgement of the plaintiffs that the Senator attended Ede Grammar School, the senator was deemed to be educated up to the stipulated level

I find this judgement very strange and curious. You know that the courts sometimes give highly political judgements, that's why we need to be patient and wait for the judgements of superior courts.

To me the judge lied when he said that the constitution only talked about secondary school level and not secondary school Certificate level

This is Chapter 6, part 2 of the 1999 constitution (as amended);

(a) he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth;
(b) he has attained the age of thirty-five years;

(c) he is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and

(d) he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent.
You can clearly see the word CERTIFICATE there.

Audu Abubakar was eligible for governorship and so was not disqualified. He died and the court ruled that he should be replaced.

The court did not exactly disqualified the PDP candidate in the omehia case, what it determined was the legal candidate of PDP, and it ruled that it was Amaechi and not Omehia.

In an affidavit deposed to by the Deputy Registrar/Head of School Examination Department WAEC, Henry Sunday Adewunmi Osindeinde confirmed that Adeleke sat for the May/June 1981 at Ede Muslim High School, Yidi Road, Ede...

Osideinde stated that the examination centre number was 19645 while Adeleke’s number as a candidate in the centre was 149....

WAEC attached a copy of the results of all 221 candidates that sat for the May/June 1981 in the centre at Ede Muslim High School...

Osindeinde said in the affidavit that: “By virtue of my position as Deputy Registrar/Head of School Examination Department, I have read the enrolled order of this court (specifically orders iv, v and vi) dated 11th September 2018 directing and compelling the WAEC to depose to an affidavit confirming or denying the said orders contained in the said enrolled order and referred to in this paragraph And I wish to state as follows:

“The said candidate named in this suit known as Adeleke Ademola, with Centre Number 19645 and Candidate Number 149, indeed sat for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination in May/June 1981 conducted by the council at Ede Muslim High School situate at P. O. Box 6 Yidi Road, Ede, State of Osun.

“The copy of the result listing referred to by the court order as the ledger containing the results of all the candidates (001 – 221) who sat for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination in the said school is hereby certified, attached and marked: Exhibit WA1.."
What Adeleke presented was a list of students who were registered to sit for the WAEC exams and a copy of the results of the students that sat for the exams. It is not in doubt that he sat for one subject in which he scored F9. The problem is that is he eligible for a WAEC certificate? WAEC needs to answer that question, and don't forget the issue of fake result presented to INEC and the courts. Somebody must be punished for faking the result.

Look, what Senator Adeleke is trying to prove is that he qualifies for a WAEC certificate because he sat for one of the subjects in WAEC exams, and not that he was actually presented with a WAEC certificate. Press Statement

Ademola Adeleke: Flawed Bwari Judgement Won't Stand

We receive with shock and bewilderment the judgement of a Bwari High Court on the propriety of the statement of results of Senator Ademola Adeleke as a contestant for the governorship of Osun state.The judgement delivered today subverted justice by ignoring four critical evidence to rule against validated facts and submissions.

While we are set to appeal the judgement ,we also find it compelling to put the records straight by listing out the fatal flaws in the ruling and why it cannot stand before a superior court.

It would be recalled first of all that the matter in question has been addressed by two High Courts ruling ,affirming that in the face of the constitution,Senator
Ademola Adeleke is qualified to run for the governorship. The two rulings delivered in September 2018 held that Senator Adeleke satisfied requirement of the law to contest for office.It is trite in law that once a court of coordinate jurisdiction has ruled on a matter ,court of similar jurisdiction cannot entertain it.Shockingly,the Bwari judge breached this precept to subvert justice.

Secondly ,we want to note that the judge erred in law by failing to take note of the expiration of 180 days for ruling on pre-election matters.Even when a December 2018 judgement with respect to the issue was presented, the judge ignored it. We note that the judge violated the law by adjudicating over a matter whose filing and hearing period has expired.

Thirdly,the West African Examination Council was also summoned by the court at the instance of the plaintiff to present evidence of facts.The council produced the listing of all students who sat for the May/June examination in 1981 alongside the Senator.The Council produced certified true copies of school results.

The Council produced evidence which proved that Senator Ademola Adeleke was indeed educated up to secondary school level as stipulated by law and therefore qualified to run for the governorship, the judge still went ahead to rule otherwise.The WAEC at no point denounced the secondary school qualification of Senator Adeleke.The only statutory body empowered by law to determine authenticity of a secondary results is the West African Examination Council.The Council not only witnessed in support of Senator Adeleke but also presented certified true copies of his school results.What other evidence the judge needs to rule in favour of the Senator is not clear.

Fourthly, the plaintif shocked by WAEC testimony, again filed request that the court compelled the school principal to appear in court to produce evidence of facts as well as to confirm the authenticity of the statement of results. The principal appeared and confirmed that the statement was a product of the school and that any error on the statement was that of the school ,not that of Senator Adeleke.The school did not at any point disowned the statement of results .The school owned up to the error which was not about forgery but alleged false information.

From the foregoing ,we affirm that today's judgement of the Bwari court is a travesty of justice, a purchased ruling designed to negatively affect the outcome of Osun governorship legal tussle.We declare unequivocally that the ruling being so glaringly against tested facts and the law cannot stand.It is also clear that the ruling cannot in anyway stop the reality that Ademola Adeleke fulfilled constitutional requirements to stand for the governorship as confirmed by the WAEC, the school principal and previous judgements on the matter.

We appeal to our numerous supporters and good people of Osun state to remain calm
This is another failed bid in the efforts of detractors to stop the realisation of Peoples mandate.We are marching ahead as before the law,our candidate, Ademola Adeleke is qualified to seek the governorship and before people and God ,he is the governor elect of Osun state.

Signed

Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation.
This is the constitutional requirements for governorship in Nigeria;

To be elected as Governor of a State in Nigeria, one must fulfill the following requirements:
He must be a citizen of Nigeria by birth;
He must have attained the age of thirty-five years;
He must be a member of a political party and that political party must have sponsored him; and
He must also be educated to at least the School certificate level or its equivalent.
A simple solution is for Senator Adeleke to present his WAEC certificate

The reason Africa is poor is not because it lacks natural resources, but because it lacks skilled manpower. The earlier we take education serious and invest massively in skills and education, the earlier we get out of poverty.

There's a difference between having WAEC certificate and presenting a forged certificate to INEC

The court did not rule against him for not having WAEC certificate, they ruled against him for giving INEC a forged certificate which is against the electoral laws and the constitution.

Learn how to read and comprehend.
Sorry to say, but you are missing the point. Adeleke never presented any certificate, what he presented was a statement of result from Ede Muslim High school, which the court found to be fake. Having a statement of results does not necessarily mean you have a WAEC certificate. The issue is that can WAEC issue a certificate to a candidate who only sat for one exam and got an F9?
