Have any one come late for biometrics, like an hour late. Is there any hope of getting it done today.. they are saying we should go and reshedule? Has anyone experienced this?
Of course you have to reschedule. The can be very strict on appointments. You can also use flexi for earlier dates

Hi everyone. I want to apply for my mum's visa to brink our 2 kids from Nigeria. I am working and my wife is working as well and we've got a comfortable apartment for everyone to join us. I want to know what documents my mum has to submit for her visa application and how to go about it. She has been denied US visa once and the second application didn't go through due to covid restrictions that year. No travel history. So I want to use this opportunity to let her have a travel history. She is a pensioner and also heading a school and has got some appointments in the church that she is handling as well. I am looking at them coming over by end of November. My Dad is alive and a pensioner too. Due to circumstances, I may not be able to flash statement of account but can show pay slips. She will flash her own cos he has enough funds for her stay. What advice/documents do y'all think she can submit to strengthen her application and what duration of stay do I state too. Any help will be appreciated.

Dom death sentence? Something you cant do, others can do it...as I type this, I am with someone that has done dom for over 20 years (Brit). Even most care managers that started new company are doing it themselves with few employees

Quick question house.
How does one request BRP be redirected from one place to the other.. I mean like from a city such as Bournemouth to Manchester. Going all the way there seems like a tedious task.
just walk to the post office in your town center where you want to receive it and tell them what u want. They will request for your passport and brp letter, and you will pay. It usually takes 7 working days or so. To arrive.

Yes it does. I did it during my student days. 12hrs shifts from 8 pm to 8a.m. Had a young person aged 15 in the house (a building of 4 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, garage, a conservatory attached to the house. We had 6 support worker, one team leader and one house manager working around that young person who was brought in by the social service.

Mine was to resume at 8p.m to take over from the 2 day staff who worked from 8a.m to 8p.m, one of the staff would go home while the second would stay back and sleep in the staff sleep-in room and would be paid for it. He or she would have been woken up to serve as my backup should there have been any incident that required 2 staff to handle.

As I take over, I will be in the office (converted from the master bedroom) doing the paperwork, checking the sharps (knives, scissors etc) are complete, the money in the safe, the medicine box, the first aid box etc Check the entire house is clean except going to the young person's bedroom as she is always in her room at that time on her phone with her TV on.

I then went to the kitchen and heat up and eat from the meal reserved for me by the day staff after I which I went to the lounge to watch Netflix through the night to keep me awake while intermittently I went up to listen from the door of the young person to ascertain she is sleeping, I got it recorded. I then intermittently go to the kitchen to make coffee and gooble up some snacks;provided by the company.

At about 5 a m, I do a light clean up of the house, make sure the paperwork is updated (though along the line we stopped doing physical paperwork and transited into inputing into a software)

I had my breakfast at about 7a.m and waited for the day shift to come around 7.50a.m and I hand over to them, after which I leave for home....work done!😊😊
This is detailed...One can use this to build a CV or clear an interview on this role

Hmmm, bro just like your name (wisdom), you have spoken well.. my fear is just the carejob, i have heard a lot about it and what the job entail, can you please explain what exactly the job is all about, i want to believe you are an experienced person..

Many thanks bro
I am not doing a care job
But just like every other job, its not easy.
Community caring might keep you outside for 13hrs just for u to go home with 8hr pay!
Working in a nursing home is better.
Finally Be ready to pack shit if u are in care.

Thank you so much for this, you just made me realize lot of things.. with this now, i can make the right decision.. it’s better she deliver in Nigeria here even before processing the cos, or i should just be the main applicant
There are so many things that will determine your decision. The best solution is u taking up the CoS coming over to hustle and let her give birth in Nigeria then join u when she can (safest, cheapest and easiest way). Anyone in the UK will tell u this.
Good luck
TravelRe: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by Wisdom7400(m):
Ola736:
Please explain better sir from your experience
The disadvantage and advantages of using her as the main applicant instead of myself
The employer will simply tell you that she will not be able to fulfill the requirements of the visa, she might be made redundant (low key) because she cant work. Some employers might decide not to give her contract letter or reference you for your rent. They will feel she deceived them by not disclosing the pregnancy and when they dont reference you for accommodation, u will be up for some serious issues. Just make sure u have a lot of money for Airbnb and get ready for whatever the outcome might be. They might not withdraw the COS but the ripples effect might be unbearable especially when she is near her due date, going to hospital etc post delivery wahala with health visitors and im sure you wouldn't want to give them the impression that u are in an Airbnb with the baby. Its better you are the COS bearer than your pregnant wife. If your wife is the CoS bearer, remember u must dance to her tone of work FIRST before u pick up ur own job. But there is a trick, if she comes in, and the employer luckily gives her contract and reference her for rent which they will be reluctant to do if they didn't give her contract, she can take a leave immediately while u work ur ass off but. Some will even sence that u will take a leave and wont give u contract yet, some might give u contract and during tenancy referencing they might disclose that you haven't worked yet and disclose you are on leave for so so so months which may give a negative impression to the referencing company. Someone said most London employers dont have work, how sure are you? U cant assume that, if you are the CoS bearer and your employer doesn't have work, u find another supplementary job afterall the 20hr limit has been temporarily lifted. If your wife is pregnant and CoS bearer, u MUST dance to the tone of her employer before taking up ur own job and the employer might low key decide to frustrate you because of non disclosure of the pregnancy and getting another employer for CoS immediately is near impossible with her belle. While ur waiting for the employer to act positive towards ur pregnant wife, U will be laced with so many uncertainties.

National express will help but u have to take a train transfer to T2 or T3 before u will get national express to Torquay. Almost 5hr trip, also consider the time u will get there too.

Thank you so much for your response. I am very very grateful. I thought about a taxi too but it is expensive. That is why I'm considering a coach. We checked the distance from our destination to the station and its just about 3mins distance. Our arrival terminal is Heathrow terminal 4, is it far from where we can board the coach? We are a family of 4, with 7 lugages, so I was unsure if a coach can take passengers with that much luggage. It seemed to be the cheapest option so far .What do u suggest?
Sorry the underground Is T4 not T2. At T4 i think u will have to take a train transfer to t5 where u will see the coaches
TravelRe: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by Wisdom7400(m):
Prizee1:
Please help!!! Can one take a coach with kids from heathrow airport on a 3hours trip to destination? Especially with lugages
Yes but wahala. Ur arival terminal might even be underground(T2) and u will need to take a train to get u to the station (T5) then the coach will also drop u off to another station definitely and u will need to start booking a taxi at this point to ur final destination. So the best is Taxi strt up since its just a one off kind of movement. Its not sth u will do everyday. So just keep money for taxi. U can even liase with the taxi to take u to post office to pick up ur brp at once before heading to ur final destination but make sure u have given at least 3 weeks for HO to get ur cards ready from the date ur entry clearance was issued. Final tips: Check the mileage from Heathrow to ur destination, multiply by £2/mile and consider ur luggage too. That will give u an idea for the cost of taxi. But wait a min! Did u say 3hrs trip? By bus or by taxi? If its a 3hr trip by taxi then that will be almost 200 miles. Why dont you fly to this destination because taxi will be very expensive. Its not cheap to fly too because of ur luggages and u will still book a taxi again to ur final destination las las. So you have to weigh the options.

Now I have COS with full sponsorship. Do I need to show POF? Knowing fully well that my sponsor has ticked financial maintenance.
Because of my prior refusal, do I still need to show proof of funds? Thanks while I await your responses.

Central London to be precise but I’m actually flexible in my search.

Do you have any room available, if yes.. what neighborhood?

Thanks
If its Central London then u will need two drops for both train and bus. If it was around Heathrow or Uxbridge then its just one drop from my location.

And please how long do I need to wait to get it?
Someone should kindly respond, I need that result urgently
When the rider gets to the address he will call you. If na village, he might call you when he gets to an accessible landmark

Peerielass:
The hospital will give you some documents which you will use for the registration. You will need to register the baby at your local authority within a specified time. In Scotland, the registration needs to be done within 21 days of birth. If you are in England/Wales, it’s 42 days. The LA will issue two birth certificates for your baby - a long and short version.

You can then apply for baby’s first Nigeria passport using the birth certificate. I’d probably wait till baby is about 6 months old before embarking on that journey. Baby will need their own NIN before passport application.

I don’t know anything about the process for baby Visa and ILR so can’t help you with that bit.

Congratulations and hope everything goes well.
Its now long version. No more short version as its no longer useful

Do you have any documents to prove your marriage? If yes, then he will request for the documents and wait patiently for you to get them lol. (Dis question will always come up if u are a guy and you look so young to be married)
What about your kids? Whom did you leave them with? (If you didn't come with them)
Takes ur finger print and stamps you in chikina
Questions might be different tho

I'm not so new on this page. Been following and learning quietly. I'll also share my visa and brp testimony so people can learn a thing or 2 (I've been too 'excited' to put all my words together) but please share your sincere thoughts about Egypt Air. É dakun
Egypt? From abuja I guess? Be ready for long layover at Cairo. They will lodge u guys at a hotel in cairo maybe Le passage or any other. You might be paired in the rooms or not. Shine ur eyes to collect evidence to prove they are holding ur passport. You might miss ur flight if ur not smart enough to identify people u flew with and walk with them. Its not worth it. Their inflight meal is something else lol. They will give u guys one Aba earphone like that and you will definitely throw it away when disembarking. Abeg find another airline jare.

If one paid for COS, is it a must for such person to be interviewed cos I believed the COS is supposed to be offered without any form of interview for the job
You must be interviewed! It is mandatory by home office for employers to do it and keep the records for as long as u are employed. They can request the records from them at anytime and failure to provide that will be catastrophic. So if you are in the forum and ur employer just gave u CoS while you are overseas without interview, let me stop here for now.
