OkijaAmaka:
The major problem with Nigeria is constant siting on the fence by the yolobas, throughtout the history of Nigeria am yet to see an issue yolobas supported wholeheartedly without sitting on the fence or waiting to see what others said.

During indirect rule, its was a success in the North, a failure in the East but when it came to West it was neither success nor failure, nobody really understood what happened.

Aba women fed up with colonial laws and brought the government down, people were expecting the Western region to do similar thing so that the British will learn their lessons, some were chanting move others were drawing back some refused to even move or drawback.

Ojukwu made it clear at Aburi Accord what he want, Awolowo noded in agreement, he didn't say anything during the meeting only to come back to Nigeria and said if the Eastern region go that Western region will also.

Southern Nigeria went to NC with resource control as one of the agenda, others were singing resource control, yoloba delegates said everybody will control their resources expect oil, lool

Lagos delegates even rejected regionalism.

If you want to protest with them, some will go others won't. While some will be sitting between going and not going.

When Islam was sweeping Africa, Igboland took Christianity completely with little remnants of traditional believe but when Islam came yolobas follow them, they follow christianity and they still follow traditional grin grin grin

Our problem is their fencesitting
Lolz. Yorubas, causing OkijaAmaka serious headache since 1960. Nne, have you tried Panadol Xtra? grin

Very useless thread. I suspect the poster may not even be Igbo, but is intent on stirring tribal animosity between Yorubas & Igbos by opening such a provocative thread. OP, you are very very foolish and stewpid.
Politics › Re: Ekiti Woes Causing Fayose Sleepless Nights by WisdomFlakes: 4:54pm On Feb 12, 2015
Whenever I think of Fayose, I shake my head in pity for the man. Instead of him to have learned from his past tumultuous stint as governor and calmly settle into a more focused and purposeful term as governor, he rather chose to offend the God that offered him a second chance by stirring more trouble and pursuing a vindictive and volatile course that is bound to cut short his second-coming.

He needs to face the real business of governance and quit distracting himself with the coming presidential elections, wasting Ekiti people's money on useless newspaper adverts while blaming his predecessor for his woes. Fayose, ile'nyo. Aboro la'nso f'omoluabi.

Politics › Re: Which Way My Yoruba Friends? by WisdomFlakes: 4:30pm On Feb 12, 2015
The truth people like Gani Adams fail to understand is that the last National Conference was no more than another jamboree, and that GEJ organized it for the purpose of bribing some southern leaders to support his re-election bid. And it has worked coz the result is what we are hearing from Gani Adams and his co-GEJ praise-singers.

GEJ alone does not even have the powers to restructure Nigeria by fiat so he practically sold them a dummy coz even the conference itself was practically deadlocked (forget that they submitted a dummy report) as those delegates just went there to sleep, fight and share money. If it was that easy Obasanjo's own organized conference would have achieved what this last conference was ostensibly purposed for. But GEJ scammed them and added a condition that he would effect the recommendations of the conference if he's re-elected -- which he knows he DEFINITELY can't deliver.

But Gani Adams has collected his share (probably more money than he has ever seen/made in his whole life) and is now singing Jonathan's gospel. Am sorry but he lacks credibility.
Politics › Re: Gani Adams Reveals That 85% Of Lagosians Want Jonathan by WisdomFlakes: 3:31pm On Feb 12, 2015
This same Gani Adams was amongst those attacking GEJ for marginalizing Yorubas from political appointments in his administration, until he got invited to the GEJ initiated National Conference. He, Yinka OdumAkin, and the old Afenifere and the rest have become "born again" GEJ supporters since that national conference -- after getting paid hefty sums.

But the real question is, how much influence does he actually wield amongst the Yorubas. I'd say little to nothing. I bet you he can't even deliver his ward to GEJ, nor campaign for him openly/publicly in Lagos

Bayswater:
Spot on! Tinubu is the real Nebuchadnezzar. APC shall be taught a bitter lesson in April. May God forbid another Tinubu stooge in Lagos.

The Ambode man can't even speak English fluently. He talks like a rat-poison seller.

It's Jimi Agbaje all the way, it is time to tell Tinubu that lagos does not belong to him and his late adopted matter.
You and your U.K-based hatchet man author of the article don't seem to get it. Jimmy may be a nice guy, but for as long as he's with the PDP, he will not smell Alausa. Go and write that down. This is beyond Tinubu influence. How can you even begin to compare a chemist with an experienced accountant and public administrator??

No amount of PDP packaging will save Jimmy. We can't afford to put a whole Lagos in the hands of a neophyte who will spend his whole first term learning the ropes. Running Lagos ain't like running a pharmacy. Na Yam?

It is clear even to the blind that GEJ's desperation to hang onto power at all costs will be his undoing. Whether he likes it or not, he will not be re-elected. His brand has been damaged irretrievably.

Dead on arrival. This U.K-based man must be high on weed. Lagos is APC and APC is Lagos. Anyone on ground in Lagos knows that. Even if Jonathan manages to steal and rig himself back to Aso rock, Lagos is a no-go area for PDP. The writer can take that to the bank. Q.E.D.

Logos state treasury, rivers state treasury and imo state treasury is empty as we write, all projects in the state has stopped due to lack of funds and contractors have been starved of funds since october 2014. Lagos light rail and other projects abandoned. all cash channeled to Pa Buharis campaign.

Same with rivers state, Monorail abandoned , all road projects stalled since 2014. imo state is not fairing any better, all the road projects abandoned the only parts of the road in Imo state that was built is the roundabout, so as we write the all projects in the state has been abandoned including all the town gates that are okorocha's signature projects.
Are you also from Otueke? If yes, then I urge you to begin renovating GEJ's compound there coz come May he's relocating home o. Don't take Panadol for APC's headache. Trust me, we the masses that truly have the best interest of this country at heart will fund the campaign. Tell your oga Jona to start packing.

Politics › South East Women March For Buhari by WisdomFlakes(op): 1:17pm On Feb 07, 2015
Several of thousands of women on Friday, trooped out in Owerri, Imo State capital, as part of a programme organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) South East Women Mobilisation, to drum up support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the February 14 general elections, General Muhhamadu Buhari.

In her address to the women, wife of the presidential candidate of the APC, Hajia Aisha Buhari, has called on Nigerian women to work for the unity of the country.

Hajia Buhari, supported by the wife of the vice presidential candidate of the APC, Oludolapo Osinbanjo, spoke yesterday in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during the South East APC zonal rally, held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

In her speech, she enjoined the crowd of APC women to support the change that will midwife a new Nigeria, where she said the Nigerian women will have a feel of what governance is all about.

She stated that for a new Nigeria to be actualized, the people should vote for the APC, assuring that once this is done, they would know that they have played a prominent part in the salvation of Nigeria.

Mrs.Buhari, who was given the Ibo name Ogechi, meaning God’s time, harped on the need for the unity of the country at all time, adding that, “we are one in this country and we should work together irrespective of religion or ethnic differences.”

Urging support for the reelection of Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, and other APC candidates, she charged the women to return to their communities and mobilize for the party.

Also addressing the women, the Imo State First Lady and Zonal Leader South East Campaign Initiative, Nneoma Okorocha, described women as agents of change, noting that change revolves around them as home builders.

She urged the women in South East to give massive support for the APC presidential candidate, adding that the change has started in Imo State and will spread to other parts of the zone.

According to her, the emergence of Buhari as the nation’s president will restore the economy and security of the country.

In his remarks, Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, described Buhari as a great and disciplined Nigerian who is poised to end corruption. He added that, “when Buhari takes over as president, criminals will flee the country.”

But APC can deface same lagos. Look, fayose didnt tell them to kill anybody. He only said they should arrest...he said he believed tinubu and co are about out rigging them. It was left for the soldier to use his discretion to arrest whoever is breaching peace. The fact that you dont see anything wrong in fashola using lasaa to campaign for apc and stopping pdp from using same shows you already biased. And by the way, you call certificate meaningless thing. Our president to be is being accused of perjury and you call that meaningless. Whaoh huh
At least you admit that was Fayose's voice in the audio. Wish you could get him to do same. Before anyone can justify or defend Fayose and Obanikoro 's actions, they have to first of all admit that truly it is them on that audio.

It was established both parties tried to rig,it is only fair the election should be held again. The Governor Fayose won through the barrel of a gun with the help of the army.
Wishful thinking. Watch as they will soon try and sweep the whole matter under the rug. PDP is trying desperately to contain the storm that this revelation has generated so far without much success -- especially with the silly denials by Koro and Fayose -- but they will go to any length to get away with murder. If, God forbid, GEJ wins re-election, be rest assured that nothing will come out of it.
