..you like a man that tells his people he cannot secure their lives.. that they should secure your lives by themselves..but during the 2023 election the same governor promised his people that he will secure their lives and properties
You and your co-travellers are always full of lies and mischief to use against those you dislike. I am sure that is why you conveniently 'missed' the pledge of the Governor below that is a direct solution response to the problem.

Describing as “embarrassing and unacceptable” the frequent invasions of communities and the displacement of residents, Bago announced plans by his administration to recruit and train 10,000 members into the Joint Task Force, JTF, to help restore security across the state.

Jesus christ! Kanu message was never against bandit bro.

Do you want me to upload some of Kanu reckless radio and vidoe outburst here where he charged the SE to go and burn down Lagos, asking them to kill any police and army, calling SW animals? Pls is Lagos bandit land? Are Yoruba bandits?

Kanu was preaching hate, sessionion not mainly defensive against bandit bro. Pls don't mixed it up its two different scenario.

However, why inducing Kanu into this now? Can't you allow Kanu head to rest?
Don't mind these lawless people. Every national issue they wish to warp in desperation to proclaim Kanu innocent.

Same Kanu who was dishing out hate speech against other Nigerins daily on radio Biafra and inciting death murder, violence, chaos etal everywhere.

Is it a surprise the SE is in the state it is today given the unreasobable, anarchic, lawless and irresponsible reasoning of the average Igbo?

Becaus Kanu is their Kinsmen they want him freed when he has committed far more atrocities than Ekpa serving 5 years jail term in Finland.

They are not even begging for clemency for Kanu. Instesd they are arrogantly insisting he is innocent.

Walahi, regional autonomy cannot come soon enough because 'one Nigeria' is hiding how completely unhinged and all shades of wrong some people are.

Akpabio allowed her to speak but when she referred to a matter already concluded, he overruled her.

When Oshiomole stood up to caution Natasha on the rules, Akpabio said he allowed her to speak because he did not know what she wanted to say and when she was ranting on a concluded matter he overruled her.

Natasha is the one to blame here.
Simple.

Handed over by who? Not by senators like her? If inputs of senators are not important, why was it brought there at the first place. They should have just dropped it with the committee, at the first place.

Committees are set up when solutions are difficult.
HOW ARE YOU SURE THAT WHAT SHE WAS ABOUT TO SAY WAS NOT EVEN THE SOLUTION THAT THE COMMITTEE WILL GO MONTHS WASTING OUR RESOURCES,LOOKING FOR?

you think you are intelligent. They way you guys pass judgement and write people off in this country now , is quite alarming.
What do you mean "handed over by who"? The Senate is not lawless.

They have taken a majority decision the matter under discussion, for the sake of gaining clarity that can allow the house move forward correctly, be handed over to a speciallst committee to report it's findings and recommendations within two weeks.

How is this simple issue difficult for you to grasp? Should one vendetta-driven undividual be allowed to arbitrarily and senselessly rebel against rulings endorsed by the majority? Read the bolded below and stop this show of idiocy abeg.

The lawmakers themselves unanimously decided to suspend further debate on the matter till findings of a spwcialist committee becomes available. End of story.

The exchange began when Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan sought to comment further on the abortion clause in the Criminal Code Amendment Bill, 2025, even after the issue had allegedly already been referred to a committee.

According to our gathering, The bill under discussion seeks to introduce tougher penalties for sexual offenses, including life imprisonment for offenders found guilty of defiling minors. However, during deliberations, lawmakers decided to suspend further debate on sections relating to abortion and pregnancy termination. The decision came amid concerns that unclear wording could endanger women’s lives in medical emergencies or expose doctors to possible legal risks.

Does she really know the rules of the Senate?
She is just a vendetta-driven and over-emotional troublemaker who will never stop till she makes her own position in the Senate untenable.

The clowns backing her to be lawless will then begin crying Crocodile tears when Natasha has fully destroyed herself after being given a "go and sin no more" reprieve, after gross misconduct, that would not even have been made available to most legistlators.

Oga, I know that there is what looks like prejudice and "pass judgement before reasoning" syndrome, prevalent in our country now, including Nairaland.

However, did you care to know if Akpabio gave her the opportunity to make an input before the garvel dropped? The subject under discuss, has a lot to do with women and how many women do we have in that senate that she wouldn't be let to lend her voice?

Let us be very careful the kind of culture we have embraced because of politicians that don't even care about us.
Lend her voice to what? The matter was formally stepped down and handed over to a specialist committee of the house expert at human rights and legal matters to deliberate upon, over two eeeks, and then advise the Senate on a legally ratified way forward.

To a reasonable person, it is clear the matter has ended for two weeks, without need for further contribution from any legislator, till the specialist committee presents it's finding and recommendations.

It is after that point Natasha or any other should seek to speak.

God bless you my brother
She's so dumb
Indeed. Any experienced and wise man will also appreciate that there is no force more destructive and vindictive in nature, ready to cut it's nose to spite it's own face, than a woman.

The matter is crystal clear. To avoid confusion over clauses viewed as controversial, with unclear wording that could endanger women’s lives in medical emergencies or expose doctors to possible legal risks, matters were referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters for a detailed review, with a report expected within two weeks.

What on Earth does lawless Natasha want to say to add to a discussions that had ended because, for sake of gaining clarity with contentious clauses, matters has been handed over to a specialist committee on human rights and legal matters that, after two weeks of delberation, will advise the Senate how to proceed in the correct and legally approved manner?

How is this even a subject of discusssion if not that some Nigerians, because of emotions and hatred of others, have lost it completely?

11doubledee:
Well like I said earlier your grievances has nothing to do with natasha's unruly behaviour or probably out of ignorance of the senate rules just to be fair to her.
Mind you,do you realise Akpabio had to bend the rules to favour her?
It was even oshiomole that objected to the circumventing of the senate rules.
You are talking to someone too emotional and sentimental to ever appreciate there is a need, always, for every reasonable and law-abiding person, especially in a place of work, to respect set rules.

What exactly is difficult for an educated person, even if Natasha's family member, to comprehend from what is shown below to then note Senator Akpoti-Udaughan has lost it completely and is now determined to be a problematic and vendetta-driven loose cannon no longer interested in doing her job properly?

The decision came amid concerns that unclear wording could endanger women’s lives in medical emergencies or expose doctors to possible legal risks.

Consequently, the controversial clauses were referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters for a detailed review, with a report expected within two weeks. Though that part was not captured in the video

The clash:
After the matter had been formally stepped down, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan attempted to revisit the abortion clause, insisting she should be allowed to speak since the issue directly affects women. However, Senator Adams Oshiomhole quickly objected, raising a point of order. He argued that parliamentary rules forbid reopening discussions on a matter that has already been concluded, stressing that allowing one senator to speak would mean reopening the floor for everyone.

In his ruling, Senate President Godswill Akpabio upheld Oshiomhole’s objection, referencing Senate Rule 52(6). He maintained that since the Senate had already taken a position to step down the matter, it would be out of order to revisit it.

They should allow this lady to do her job.
It is called Nigerias Senate and NOT Akpabios Senate..
Everyone of them was elected as a Senator. They are equals. That Akpabio was made the Senate President, is not enough reason for him to be acting like a School Principal.

Free that woman and allow her do the work her constituency elected her to do..
This level of ruthlessness under Akpabio and Tinubu has never been seen in Nigerias democratic history..
The Senate and this very executive are acting more tyrannical than Abacha and his Provincial Ruling Council..

Akpabio and Tinubu; Lay off this lady...
Why are some of you, especially men, so emotional to the extent your reasoning, plus appreciation of right and wrong, is grossly compromised? Firstly, what concerns Tinubu, head of our executive arm, with an issue related to the judicial arm of governance and their affairs?

Secondly, how can anyone read what is clear and self-explanatory below and still say "Free that woman and allow her do the work her constituency elected her to do" ?

Is it not clear, to a reasonable person who can comprehend what is written below, she is more interested in being a lawless rebel than doing her "work"?

The decision came amid concerns that unclear wording could endanger women’s lives in medical emergencies or expose doctors to possible legal risks.

Consequently, the controversial clauses were referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters for a detailed review, with a report expected within two weeks. Though that part was not captured in the video

If actually she committed the crime, the consequence hasn't changed but the innocent baby should be taken care of. Those who banished her should accept her again because of the baby.
She should not have been banished and the punishment is wrong. It should be outlawed.
Anyone backing this punishment is a Neanderthals and cavemen because it is inhuman to tell someone to leave their home area because of theft. It is 1910 Garbage that does not belong in today's society.

Hence the reason no competent court of law will issue such a punishment that is a clear violation of fundamental human right.

Where is she to go after the banishment? Even ridiculous you suggest they should now accept her back because of the child when she should not have been sent away to begin with.

I really don't understand them and their megalomaniac arrogance.

The SE and core North are the agents of terror, insecurity and socio-economic instability responsible for many nations of the world issuing monthly or even weekly travel advisory notifications to their citizens

Somehow, in their warped mind, it is possible to sideline political leaders from the regions giving life and glory to Nigeria currently, so that the Presidency can be dominated by Fulanis and Igbos the world understands, based on cold facts available, are the most problematic and destructive ethnic groups of Nigeria today.

These 'projector' people are just a joke. They simply dream up fantasies and project it as reality with no respect at all for facts and reality on ground.

The USA, UK and co will not hesitate to enter Nigeria if the sane regions like the SW and SS, seen as the good people out of a very bad nation, begin to be disruptive like you lot and Northerners.

You are both essentially socio-economically disruptive minuses to Nigeria right now while the globally treasured and valued regions of Nigeria are the SW, SS and NC.

Think about your real worth today to Nigeria, which is more or less zero, before you start fantasizing childishly about ostracizing the region, along with the SS and Middle Belt, that happens to be the only positive and uplifting thing about Nigeria today and for the foreseeable future.

Did we have Boko Haram, lakuwara, ISWAP, militant Fulani herdsmen and bandit plus IPOB, UGM, Autopilot etal, that you people and Northerners alone are responsible for, in the days of Azikiwe and Balewa?

You people just never think before you start projecting your malevolent fantasies as reality

Today their delusional claim is that Tinubu is the last Yoruba President of Nigeria. Meanwhile Atiku is busy telling the world Yorubas will form the majority of his cabinet if he becomes President.

You have a point, but note, this malaise is a problem basically with the three major tribes of NIGERIA
If you are Nigerian, then you are simply suffering from small ethnic group syndrome. Similar to short man syndrome.

Otherwise why would you validate the many and ludicrously ignorant submissions of the uninformed and bigoted OP?

Is it Yoruba or Igbos, as the bigoted OP postulated, who "prefer to wear Arabic traditional cloth than African attires"?

Is it all Nigerians who bleach as the deluded South African postulates?

He claims we follow European football league and not our own. Has a self-hater like you reasoned that this is because many Nigerian players, for decades now, are big time ballers in Europe making Nigerians to follow European clubs and soccer?

Whereas, because their footballers are far less talented, South African have no option but to follow their own league as that is the highest level many of their players can reach whereas Nigerian players have gone global.

The worst has to be his claim "Nigerians worship whites". In the entire Africa, non more stubbornly independent and indifferent to whites than Nigerians. We no send them.

It is South Africans who worship white. If the major ethnic group have left you feeling subjugated then man up an find ways to deal with that instead of this silly and traitor-like strategy of abetting enemies to come for your own.

This is a Nigerian forum and the South African OP should keep his antic to his SA forum or be told off when he post this sort of drivel against Nigerians on a Nigerian forum.
