gidgiddy:Mr.Broken Record, we are tired of you repeating the same senseless statement here 24/7. Do the needful and stay away from Yoruba land as Yorubas stay away from your land. If you cannot advocate Igbos do that then do not expect anyone to see you as anything other than greedy, materialistic and covetous hypocrites who love reminding the world daily that Yorubas and Igbos are enemies. Yet you Igbos cannot stay away from your "greatest enemies in the world" because of material and financial benefits you derive from their land and people. That is nauseating lack of principles and hypocrisy guy. |
Goosethetruth:Well-said and thanks for the link that is a reminder of what these people are about and will always be about. 'Woke' Yorubas, a ko ti ile ta in reality, led by the Falz, Macaroni and Iyabo Ojo of the world need to open their eyes. |
These are the sort of statements that confirms directly these folks are all shades of wrong. They are living and thriving in a geographical space they are not indigenous to courtesy of gracious and supportive hosts Yet that is not enough for them. They alone, of over 200 non-indigenes in the geographical space, must seek to take over control of everything others have. Well, I am glad they are an emotional people who lack impulse control and therefore talk before they think so that even the most liberal Yorubas can now see these people, in their soul, only crave vindictive and malevolent take-over against Yorubas in their land as Azikiwe and their other forefathers tried their entire lives to achieve yet failed. Good they are using their own mouth to destroy the liberalism of Yorubas that allowed Igbos get to this level, in the first place, where they can even be thinking of this agenda let alone mouthing it publicly. Where else can they try this in Nigeria but Yoruba land where indigenes are over-liberal to their own detriment? We have to thank God for the thoughtless talk of this delusional Pastor and his ilk that means some of us no longer need to warn any Yoruba to Ronu. Especially those who were previously ignorant of Nigerian history showing what Igbos attempted to achieve in Yoruba land against Yorubas yet failed. I.e complete land grab that would include full control of political and public administration leadership in the SW. |
DaddyJapan:Lol. Oga, find something to do with your time. I know your sort. 'Ka ri mi' (notice me type) fond of playing to the gallery trying to be all things to all men without understanding, fundamentally, a man must sink anchor somewhere. Ironic you cite Bob Marley. He is talking to you below. Hypocrites who stand for nothing especially when neutrality is not an option. Dip, for diplomatic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOoRqQCxiuQ?si=Mz9e5ACI9uudUlQt |
DaddyJapan:Lol. The offer of handkerchief still stands. Yes I am paid. Well paid for that matter. It is even APC chairman that transfer directly to my account every Friday. Colour me bad. I accept. What I am not is a sanctimonious, insincere and hollow individual like you who sits on the fence playing to the gallery, indicting all politicians and all political Parties, in childish, irresponsible and total disregard of our reality as a Nation. Idealist and insincere folks like you can never be part of the solution. The battle for the leadership of Nigeria, for now, is a fight between 'monsters'. Meaning sensible and critical-thinking Nigerians, interested in solutions for today, will choose and support the best of all the monsters available till the beautiful ones are born. I.e till evolution of Nigerian minds means we can host a better class of political leaders and followers. Your sort are far from that state of consciousness so carry on with with your self-delusion. Have a fab Sunday. 😎 |
pyyxxaro:Why comment at all if "E nor concern you"? Should you not be unbothered and silent if "E nor concern you"? |
DaddyJapan:Shall I send you a handkerchief so you wipe those profuse tears before you step outside your house? Yes they are an "ideologically-deficient and morally-depraved political class" today because, as allowed and as is entirely their choice, they have chosen to join APC. As if we don't know your talk is because your candidate is losing out and incapable of keeping up. Show me the President/s and political Party you have supported since 1999, aside from Tinubu and APC you dislike primordially, and I will show you how they too are guilty of utilising an "ideologically-deficient and morally-depraved political class" to their own benefit. Nothing worse, for example, than an olosho preaching the virtues of sex abstinence. That is what some of you do when you talk ignorantly of the reality of Nigeria that long existed before PBAT, you had no issues with in the past, yet are sanctimoniously hyperventilating over today. |
Shawarmagirl:This is what Yorubas call O lo fa i.e it's gone far. You lot have truly gone far, farther than all other Nigerians, per warped thinking. You are calling Yorubas cowards, based on incredibly naive acceptance of obvious fake news put in the public domain to massage your fragile and insecure egos? You guys behaviour only continues to show you generally lack moderation as an ethnic group because your ability to think critically and effectively is alway compromised by emotions and sentiments of hate/bitterness toward others. Tragic . |
Another display explaining why no sensible person can respect Igbos today. Look at what a prominent Igbo is sharing. I.e ridiculously obvious fake news my well-educated and IT-literate 12 year old child can call out easily in 60 seconds. Yet an icon of Igbo 'enterprise', who is 75 years of age, lacks the emotional intelligence to understand his thoughtless action only shames Igbos. |
kettykin:Sad that at your age you do not know Igbo is not a race but an ethnic group. Bigotry can create huge gaps in knowledge and even delusions of grandeur that would make individuals elevate an ethnic group, within the black race, to be a race on it's own. Don't take my word for it. See below . @Post. Congrats to the lady. Talent is always elevated in society where it is appreciated.

tpain121:I am not absolving Tinubu of responsibility. Of course he must do his best and I personally believe that is the case as improvement in security is being recorded. Yet, with sabotage from Northern leaders at all levels, rather than sincere support, only a fool will think Tinubu can secure the North enduringly. Nigerians not working with the reality of Nigeria, or are prejudiced against Mr.President and his ethnic group, as many from a region of Nigeria are, remain free to blame Tinubu for insecurity in the North. Sadly, those who do not appreciate the problem can never discern what will be effective and lasting solutions. |
Sonofgod1990:You guys make me laugh the way you make everything about Tinubu. Was Tinubu President when SW leaders unitedly rose to fight Buhari and Malami, to birth Amotekun, when Fulani militant herdsmen menace became a serious problem for the South in General? You are from the ethnic group, of all in the South, most supportive of Atiku's presidential ambition to include bigots like Kenneth Okonkwo etal. Ask yourself why Atiku felt comfortable sitting in Dubai for years while the North was going down the drain with zero solution input from him. You are fooling yourself and other simpletons if you want to deny the reality of Nigeria to claim that power to stop banditry and terrorism is solely in the hands of Tinubu and not the Northern leader at all levels (political, religious and cultural) who can bring an end to all this in months if the will and sincerity truly exist to do so. You can keep fooling yourself talking as if Nigeria is like the UK, USA, Germany, France plus even Ghana and South Africa, in Africa, where a President will order a solution and all are obligated to deliver that solution unlike Nigeria that is nation divided against itself where some want peace, security and progress while others welcome chaos, death, poverty, abolition of western education and misery for all. Some of us know and work with the reality of Nigeria even as you and your ilk are patently incapable of such. |
PlayerMeji:Precisely. You see a non-offensive topic that does not interest you, then why not stay away instead of entering thread to lecture others over what they should/should not discuss? So we should discuss nothing else other than security because Nigeria is grappling with insecurity? The sad thing is that many come online to make others as miserable as they are. |
Tenrack:https://www.nairaland.com/8542035/officers-shot-dead-inside-kaduna#137163423 Two of these thread exist addressing the same topic. See below to note I have made it clear those who are responsible for delivering solutions. Now, show me any post from those who are engaged in tackling other posters, and the Yoruba ethnic group, that is similar to what is shown below. Just a single one would be nice if such exist. There is no "shalaye" at all. The way forward is clear. Yet we know those obsessed with hijacking every issue, however serious and even existentialist such is, to use as blame-game and vindictive clap back against Yorubas, PBAT and the SW. Proper adults seek solution, rather than deploy mischief and whataboutism, when faced with serious problems. Yorubas, whatever their fault, always do that. As I said in the thread below, and whatever some haters think of Yorubas, the SW was at the forefront of delivering solutions at the heights of Fulani herdsmen menace across Nigeria via the creation of Amotekun even though Malami did everything to frustrate them. When serious and existentialist issues are in consideration, most adults are able to put pettiness and childishness aside bar one ethnic group and I believe all Nigerians know that particular ethnic group who are never about solutions. https://www.nairaland.com/8542035/officers-shot-dead-inside-kaduna#137163423 WizardOfNG: |
ZombieTAMER:I've never encountered a people as petty, irresponsible, unreasonable and vindictively unfocused as you lot . A problem is highlighted. You don't talk about the problem let alone suggest solutions. Yet your only input is to deploy whataboutism to attack and gaslight others. Look at the contribution of you and your co-travellers on this thread. Not one of you spoke exclusively about the problem. Instead you attacked other posters or other ethnic groups. You guys don't appreciate how 'gone' you are meaning you are of no use to anyone or to your society. It is why your region is so troubled and why Kanu, Ekpa etal got away with what they did against a people who lack emotional intelligence, ability to think critically and are incapable of focusing on what matters. |
Igirigimercenar:Always talking immature and petty nonsense. Grow up for eff sake and learn to think like an adult who can reason properly. |
slimfit1:What do you want OP and others to do about bolded aside petition leaders who command our security parastatals? Can't you just waka pass and let people discuss what they want in peace as long as such is not offensive ? @OP. Interesting thread. Nigerians do have fascinating names. With Ijaw names, I think you'll find it's the retention of names in literal English form that is fascinating. Others have similar names but in their native tongue For example Goodluck would roughly translate to something like orire in Yoruba language prompting Yorubas who wish to associate good luck with their children to name them Bibire or Rire. A name of GodsPromise would be IleriOluwa in Yoruba |
This is why the North is finished. Tragic news of mass killings everyday in the region to include murder of police and Army staff. Yet their prominent leader like Atiku, El Rufai, Sule Lamido, Bala Mohammed, Tambuwal etal are only concerned about the presidency returning to the North. When will all these guys, because they know the dynamics of issues and players involved, convene a security conference where Northern leaders will brainstorm an immediate way forward towards securing the North and thus Nigeria? Never is the answer because they prefer their people dying if that can be used cynically to gaslight the current President out of office so a Fulani can be President. Do leaders like Atkku need the Presidency before they move to find solutions to improve security in the North? Did Yorubas have the Presidency when their Governors, along with their cultural leaders and elite, stood together to form Amotekun? Did Yorubas wait on Buhari or even waste time blaming him before seeking solutions for their people and region? Why is the North incapable of doing similar and only interested in gaslighting a Southern President whereas Yorubas under Buhari, acted rather than deflect and indict alone? Yet the North wonders why many Southerners now want nothing to do with them? This is a region with leaders who revel in doing evil and treating the lives of their people as worthless same way no one cares when exterminators fumigate their residence to kill Cockroaches etal. Yet they never give Southern President (from OBJ to GEJ and now Tinubu) peace in office. Really tragic and Southerners really need to open their eyes and think because it is obvious political, cultural and religious leaders in the North know their region is gone. Obvious too, with how they are not seeking solutions, they have now embraced the idea of taking the South down with them. This is why their house is burning and they are doing everything else aside searching for the extinguisher to put out the fire. |
Saturnalia:Bro, Nigeria, like all other countries, has quality control organisations to include those that will grant this guy a licence to produce and market his electric vehicles. Not fair or objective to say this Roxette Motors vehicles will endanger lives because that would be an indictment of our quality control board that should ensure unfit vehicles are not approved for use in Nigeria.
|
Exciting development. If reliability is good and pricing competitive then Nigerians will patronise electric Vehicles more simply because of increased fuel cost that's unlikely to ever go below 700 Naira per litre. Fuel cost for fill-up of a 60 litre capacity vehicle currently will be circa 56k Naira. EV will likely cost a fraction of that with more efficient batteries and specialised charging points able to deliver full charge in 1 to 2 hours. This is a good time for bold entrepreneur like this guy, assuming he has done his homework comprehensively, to enter the EV market and cash out with reliable and fairly durable vehicles able to do 250 km upwards on full charge. One to watch. |
zoedew:Bro, I am a progressive and optimistic person who likes development, peace and happiness for all human beings, poor or wealthy , underprivileged or privileged, everywhere. I am.happy for everybody and anybody plus any geographical space on Earth making progress. To that end, I am always interested in good news so I keep abreast of positive development reading and watching news for at least an hour a day and much more when free. The bolded in your post I know of and started a thread about a while back. See link below and check it out. I made the point you did stating it would extend to Lekki and essentially the entire Island. See screenshot of my comment, image 2 below, that aligns with yours. Smart folks will get involved now while haters will hate into depression, misery and an early grave. To show some of them are incorrible and born with it, See the screenshot below , image 1, to note one of those on that previous thread of mine, peddling negatively and misery needlessly , is on this same thread doing exactly the same thing needlessly. https://www.nairaland.com/8432581/finnish-firm-bags-deal-build

zoedew:100% correct regardless of what the naysayers and lying enemies of progress are saying. In my residence in Lekki, almost 24 hours of uninterrupted electricity since around Saturday. This, with some variations allowing for national grid collapse and local infrastructure issues, has been the norm throughout 2025. It can only get better. I tell people Nigeria is the next big thing. Dull yourself and there will be nothing left for Nigerians in 10 years. It is like how Dubai and Singapore opened up to the world, under good leadership, to the extent both are now some of the best destinations for investors who actually even move to those places to enjoy the superior lifestyle on offer there also. God bless Nigeria. |
PDPdestroyer:Lol. The news has ruined The remainder of October for them. Plus November and the pain will treble in December when a bigger and better detty December will roll into town than that of last year that saw Lagos acclaimed as one of the best Party destination in the world. Idris Elba "Lagos is an amazing city". Didier Drogba "I love wonderful Lagos". Yet to them Lagos is "dirty" while Sanwo Olu is "worst Governor ever". All this because they envy the success of others and, as you noted, wish evil on their nation and even fellow citizens. Non will show face here because no avenue to attack this news and no way they will ever praise good news related to Lagos, the SW or any Yoruba politician. Must really suck to be them. |
DomPerignon:Lol. You know them well. Empty barrels. |
OkonkwoOkoro:Complete finishing !! Shaming Obi and his "selective amnesia" publicly with his past actions that 100% confirms the guy is an unrepentant hypocrite and charlatan. Uppercut TKO!!! |
chiagozien:No need calling people names. Vote with your feet and return to your region to remain there. You'll be safe there from those you call "subhuman'. That's what proud and principled people would. Not venting online daily and impotently while moving to the region of those "subhuman" people in droves daily to hawk and feed. |
gidgiddy:Lol. You said it. Not me. |
