Kalulu44:Lol. I've made my point intelligent Nairalanders can appreciate even if such flies above your head. |
Tareq1105:Sir, you should never take a liar seriously. A shameless one to boot. Confirm yourself using the link below. No long thing. It speaks about his character that he told a deliberate lie over a list he read/did not read with issues being even much worse if he read the list and still came here to lie. Grown adult for that matter. https://statehouse.gov.ng/details-of-the-presidential-pardon-and-clemency/ |
Kalulu44:Who exactly has received the list negatively bar ignorant folks who already had an Axe to grind against Tinubu? Meaning they would never actually read the list to understand that it had categories (pardons, Clemency and reduced sentenced) and classification of drugs offenders were jailed for. You should speak for yourself and your co-travellers in ignorance because you cannot speak for reasonable, balanced and dispassionately objective Nigerians who do not see anything wrong in the President signing off on recommendation of a list of names of convicted offenders for Pardons, clemency and reduced offences. |
givedemwotowoto:You're a shameless liar who wants to deceive gullible Nairanders using the thinking "if you want to hide something from a black man keep it in a book". Your desperation to use anything, including korokoro lies, to demarket Tinubu is evil. Forumers can use the link below to see the beneficiaries. Also important to state that beneficiary fall into different Categories like pardon, clemency and reduced sentences.of what is Presidential pardons, Important too, for clarity, to note the list of beneficiaries was drafted by the Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy and presented to the President by the chairman of the committee i.e the Attorney-General and Justice Minister, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi. https://statehouse.gov.ng/details-of-the-presidential-pardon-and-clemency/ In the 70 cases of drugs, where specific drug is mentioned , figures are approximately 9 for Cocaine offences , 4 for Heroine, 4 Tramadol related and 26 for Cannabis offences. Your claim with Heroine is a shameless and barefaced lie. Relevant also is the fact NDLEA has recommended Cannabis oil commercial sale showing a more lenient outlook towards cannabis although use of it is still illegal Meaning, per the current sentiment towards the drug, it makes perfect sense for the committee that forwarded the list of names to Tinubu to recommend freeing those who had served lengthy time already for Cannabis offence or commuting the sentences of many languishing in jail for Cannabis. Especially in the case of those jailed years for small amounts like 6 grams clearly indicating personal use. The view is likely that rehab may be better than damaging young lives with 5 year sentence etal for Cannabis consumption. Keep pretending you and your co-travellers are about the good governance of Nigeria rather than Igbo Presidency, with desperate lies, fake news and propaganda you believe blackens the image of Tinubu and will deliver said Igbo Presidency for you. No one is fooled yet it is to your personal shame a grown adult can be so perversely dishonest and lacking conscience or integrity as you show here. I can't blame you for trying though since you believe "Buhari is dead and replaced by Jubrin" type propaganda will fly with Nairalanders as most never bother checking anything they are told. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2025/10/why-ndlea-approves-regulated-cannabis-oil-export-opposes-local-use-marwa/amp/

Goodlady:How will a President intervene in a case ongoing in court? It isn't done (at least never publicly) because of the principle of separation of power between the executive, legislative and judicial arm. |
This Sowore is definitely a fifth columnist working a Sinister angle because I don't want to believe he is daft enough to demand our President show the Universe he can arbitrarily wade into a matter in court and abrogate proceeding to tell everyone to go home. Additionally you must have been convicted of an offence to be eligible for a Presidential Pardon. Kanu's case is in Court and not concluded yet. Honestly, Sowore is trying too hard towards any hidden agenda he is working for because I can't see how he cannot understand he is sounding desperately lawless, a supporter of illegality and open undermining of the judicial system by our number one citizen to sane adult Nigerians minus the lawless IPOB whataboutism lot. This is why he got 33k votes in 2019 and 14k votes, less than half his previous tally, in 2023. Sowore is simply same as Kanu. Dictatorial, fundamentalist and totally lawless. If Yorubas were like Igbos we too would be hosting Yoruba IPOB today, sitting at home once a week while 12 year old with gun are lashing 80 year old granddads with koboko. |
@OP. Men don't need those sort of appreciation. Women do and most men don't begrudge them those public appreciation. |
Kobojunkie:Lol. I believe you live in the USA and know the reality there. Don't come on a Nigerian forum thinking it's full of simpletons you can browbeat You can argue with the good Doctor below since ,if we get down into it, we know what the materialism culture of blacks is really an indicator of and saying about mindset. https://youtube.com/shorts/Db_ctiuTAHE?si=u190DBWPjg2xmJdR |
helinues:You can't indict Umahi here. Yes he is fiery by nature but we all know these attacks over cost per KM is mischievous and the work of political opposition that knows the Lagos-Calabar coastal road is one hugely impressive project, even by global standards that will gain the Tinubu Government massive plaudits. They therefore identify it as a big and major target they can continue to use to gaslight the PBAT government in the effort to discredit it. Of course it is for this same reason Umahi and Tinubu will know it is crucial to not give their enemies anything to work with. Umahi has explained himself well over cost per KM which he gave as around 2 billion Naira averagely but subject to adhoc changes accounting for terrain and topography problems etal. Makinde and co are just being mischievous and I can understand Umahi's anger and irritation with them all. |
CoronaVirusPro:Mediocre at best in my opinion. Certainly not commendable as Sanwo Olu for example. Umahi acquited himself well as Governor and he is doing a good Job as works Minister. Dead PDP just trying to shake small yansh to remind they are still existing lol. |
I back Umahi here. While the element of corruption cannot be removed entirely from the processes involved in delivering public infrastructure in Nigeria, I believe the Lagos-Calabar highway is a pivotally crucial infrastructure project, like Third Mainland Bridge for example, for the Tinubu Government. Important and definitive to the extent there will be good accountability and transparency over it's costing to tackle noise sure to come from many opportunist detractors plenty in Nigerian politics. Like Obi, Atiku, El Rufai etal Umahi has challenged Makinde to a debate. Let him accept if sure of himself. |
GloriousGbola:I know that. They are all conning the public. I.e the participants and the creators of the syndicated shows and series. Point is most participants have some some sort of name and visibility. Producers recognise their potentials and draft them in to create fake and exaggerated versions of reality they know ordinary men and women will love as aspirational lives of the rich and successful they desire. They are peddling desires and hope while participants and show creators get rich. My point is that the participants, if sensible, should at least make the arrangement financially beneficial to them. Instead many end up broke and desperate. |
Ishilove:Lol. For the 'packaging fraud to overwhelm they must appear to be better than others by claiming educational titles, posing with leased luxury cars, luxury homes they rent yet are pretending to own etc. Black people, wherever they are in the world, have a huge capacity for deceit. That's not to say they are criminal in action. It Just means many of us go to great lenght faking lives to gain validation because we care about what others think about us more than we should. 'Swag' is good but self-destructive when fake ot borrowed. |
@Topic. I am sure every Nairander knows at least one person who is never happy with what he/she has and is alway seeking what others own to join to his/she own. That is Igbos. When they cannot join yours to their own to gain bigger, then that is the definition of "marginalisation" according to their dictionary. |
Toruibestate:In reality, Igbos are not marginalised.they just want everything ,from everyone else, including the Kitchen soup. Cook a pot of soup for ten. If Igbo man cannot claim the whole pot for himself alone, he is "marginalised". Wake Azikiwe from the grave today and he will be complaining Awolowo "marginalised" Igbos by not allowing them add Yoruba land as an annex of Igbo land under Igbo full control and leadership. Lol. |
ednut1:Precisely. |
aribisala0:It's not true. It is an unverified myth people peddle ignorantly. Hydropower accounts for a small amount of our power supply mix with the South of Nigeria in particular being reliant mainly on gas-fueled electricity. |
Tochi3:Lol. You no serious . That Burna image cracked me up 😅😅😁😁 |
Ishilove:Lol. They are Americans. American values, especially crass materialism in the black community, defines both of them. There are many reality shows in the USA today featuring empty and vapid black folks who are about nothing other than bling, luxury spa visit, beauty-enhancing surgeries, fine dining, lounging on Yatches etc. Whereas most are even too dumb to keep control of their spending meaning they quickly slide into debt and bankruptcy while continuing to fool the world they are balling. These two became broke spending to keep up appearances. |
Anyone who knows the West well will know the actions of the couple can't be tied to Nigeria or even any ethnic group of our country in particular. There is now a generations of black folks, wherever they are, who cherish luxury living and want to do anything to gain it. This lady, on the face of it was 'wealthy' as she was in "Real Housewives of Potomac" . A globally -syndicated TV series she would have been earning from, along with other engagements. Her husband too I am sure makes some money as a "successful entrepreneur". Luxury-addicted couples often have income streams. The problem is when the debt, trying to live fake and packaged lives, grows far beyond the income. It's been revealed they owed a lot. 450k USD insurance fraud claim, from a staged burglary of their home while away on holiday, brought them down. This is a lady claiming 2025 net worth of $1.5million USD while her husband is a "successful entrepreneur". Truth is they may even be totally broke. Sad because they'd both likely have considerable social media followers looking up to them.

Tochi3:Lol. I know e dey pepper you for body sey una people, in the biggest numbers by far, leave Nigeria to commit crime worldwide but don't talk about the UK you know nothing about. This lad was born and raised in the UK. Even at that, he is not typical of Yorubas born and raised in the diaspora, like all my kids, who are excelling, defining new ground and breaking records/boundaries. Like the young lady below. Opeyemi Bright who is the youngest female UK mayor in history. You people should not see development like this as opportunities to get back at Yorubas because all Nigerians, rightly , call you out for the criminality your Nigerian-based compatriot export globally. Face your problems, as Yorubas do, and conquer them to become better. When you respond to news like this, in efforts to shade Yorubas, it shows you are incorrigible by nature and proud of that without recognising you need to change so others cannot continue mocking you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEJ1tP1BvgI?si=VDE0cUL2atBPSJKf |
Beremx:Lol. They do. The issue is that they are in gang/criminal life. Meaning, once arrested, they can never lead police back to where they live as there may be all sorts there from drugs, weapons, credit cards, fake documents, stolen good etc. They use the NFA (no fixed address) excuse to evade bigger problems for themselves and their crew. |
Smartcitizen:Lol. After all this rigmarole, Obi will still lose in 2027 and be retired from Nigerian politics for good. Well, Nnamdi Kanu may be free then. So you can make him your political messiah from that point on. |
Smartcitizen:"Shortcomings" you ascribe to others that have no factual basis and are nothing but opinions of a prejudiced mind? A Yoruba woman left the Obidient movement you claim it is because Yorubas are 'betrayers' whereas her fellow Diasporan who also left the Obidient along with the Yoruba lady, citing same reasons for leaving, you make no mention of . Perhaps because he is not Yoruba. Your deceitful conduct here shows how you have repeatedly made false allegations against Yorubas from time immemorial, so many times, some have actually begun viewing them as the truth. I only blame Yorubas who gullibly and naively used their own two legs to walk into the camp of their sworn enemy and most envious haters in the dubious and completely misplaced belief Obi is the President Nigeria needs. |
Smartcitizen:Because you are the only one distractively and shamelessly making it about the SW. Was it the Yoruba lady alone who left the Obidient movement and penned a statement explaining why? |
Smartcitizen:I am an educated and accomplished individual. You can read what I write and, so far it makes logical and factual sense, learn from it, to be better educated, more refined and a better solutions-provider for yourself and community, or you can tag it "epistle". No wahala. |
BATified2023:Bro, challenge him to comment about Dr.David Ogula who co-signed with the Yoruba lady to leave the Obidient movement stating the same reasons as her. See Dr.Ogula's info in my thread above to understand these people, trying to make this solely about "Yoruba betrayal" , as they always do, have nothing upstairs. Once confronted with situations that shows they are failings, such as how Obidient movement was always destined to implode and lose people of integrity who genuinely seek the good governance of Nigeria, they resort to cheap ethnic baiting and gaslighting. What have they, in the past 70 year history of Nigeria, failed to blame Yorubas for? Civil war they misguidedly caused, they will tell you "Yoruba betrayal" prevented them winning. Azikiwe's failure to annex Yoruba land and install Igbos as our leaders, in our land and at every level, they blame on "Yoruba betrayal" of Igbos by Awolowo who would not allow such happen. We don't want GRV who makes it clear he despises Yorubas, then it is Yoruba "tribalism and betrayal". Etc, etc. Is is just fascinating how a people's undesirable core character can defy evolution in remaining same for several decades since evolution is about becoming better, more informed and greater solutions-providers than our forebears . |
Smartcitizen:Lol. Whipping up ethnic sentiments and tribalistic gaslighting is always the default behaviour of those not intelligent enough to define their argument with issue-based sagacity and gravitas . Let us remove the Yoruba lady then. The other signatory to the announcement of withdrawal from the Obidient movement is the diasporan Dr.David Ogula To the best of my knowledge, he is not Yoruba and you can glean some information about him below. Note the critically acclaimed book he has written as well which shows he is a Kwame-Nkrumah type thinker who believes Africa must make the conscious effort to take charge of and solve her own problems. In the book, he muses over the tragic reality of how sub-Saharan African host around 12% of the world's population yet has 25% of illiterates globally. If you are losing people like that, because they are disenchanted with the Obidient movement, is that something you should try to deny, simply to fool others, by stoking the fire of ethnic sentiments against the Yoruba lady who signed alongside David Ogula, and cited same reason as him, for leaving the Obidient movement? Crystal clear you people are so unprepared for what is coming in 2O27 because you cannot accept many who saw Obi as "change" that moves Nigeria away from "the ruinous old hands" now realize he is anything but change. Perhaps even worse. Obidients, additionally, have then doing more damage convincing the world, beyond doubt, they are solely about Igbo Presidency rather than the good governance of Nigeria that is the biggest black nation in the world, a major player in sub-Saharan Africa, as Ogula and many like him wish to see.
|
Mindlog:Absolutely. If a reasonable person, to begin with, you accept and work with reality ,even if such appears unfair, to get where you must. It usually works out well in the end for pragmatists and realists who don't sit around obsessing about the problem when they should be seeking solutions to overcome it. |
Real2088:Indeed. Cutting corners is now default behaviour of Nigerians in Nigeria that some, not the majority, then export abroad. We can't and won't escape the consequences and negative reputation of our actions, though unfair to upright and honest Nigerians, which often comes at high cost to Nigeria and all Nigerians. There are several global trading platforms where you can sell literally anything, like eBay, that boycott Nigerian direct selling participation ( emphasis on selling because we can buy from the world directly but can't sell to it directly) for many reasons tied to our dubious practices , potentials to abuse credit facilitation etc. Who loses other than Nigerian manufacturers, artisans, retailers etal who are cut off from what could be a muilt-billion dollars global market considering what we can offer the world at very competitive prices? We refuse to do the right things individually, expecting others to take responsibility for that on our behalf, and we wonder why Nigeria is the way she is with everyone pointing fingers at others. |
