CoronaVirusPro:Absolutely. Most wealthy Nigerians could not live outside Nigeria permanently because there is no other nation where they would be treated as royalty as is done to them every single minute of every day in Nigeria. The foreign wedding and Parties thing is just for social media effizy. All |
Amumaigwe:Lobby your legislators, instead of sponsoring bills to remove state of Origin from our identity, to move for Constitutional amendment so that secession can be allowed. Till then, your Biafra noise cannot be taken seriously by anyone. |
SpatialKing:GEj came to your house to tell you he is running? Or he called you? |
Fynx:😳😲 which President, since I999, had the courage to insist fuel subsidy is gone literally first day in office? I only need a name please. |
Bwala is right na. Every quality of Tinubu he listed is factually verified. |
Of course Igbo presence in Lagos is lawful. They are Nigerians and allowed to live in any State of Nigeria. The bone of contention is their sense of entitlement wherever they go. |
iwaeda:I frown at number 5 but your other points are commonsensical . Not bad. Seems you are 'clear headed' today. Keep it up. 😎 |
WickedAfonja:Foe sure 2027 will be a desperate battle. Tinubu will surely win. There will be nothing at all for Obi because 2027 will be for gangsters and not his kind. |
StaffofOrayan:Bro, she you remember Ijelespeak , as a prominent Nairaland member, and the despicable treatment they gave him here, years ago, when the guys risked life and limbs to expose the atrocitiesIPOB were committing and blaming on Fulanis? Today many Igbos, after the SE is in pain thanks to Kanu and co, now realise they need more of that chap rather than hate preachers who will lead their children astray and give them guns at 12, Like the Liberia child soldier horror, to be executing Chike Akunyili and other elderly pillars of Igbo society. He was just released from jail recent after a lengthy period of incarceration. Poor guy is now silent. I believe he has learnt it is best to leave Igbos to their own devices as he too now "doubt if there is any saneeee person in the east!". https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSSCcrptc/ |
EvilMerodack:The problem with them is that they believe not even a single Igbo can be supportive of Tinubu's Presidency because majority of them have been indoctrination to think Igbo hatred of Yorubas must be automatic and include every Igbo living. Please check out the guy below and his many posts to note sensible Igbos exist even if in small numbers. He even even spoke about the persecution of our fellow Igbo Nalralander Ijelespeak they ostracised, demonized and bullied for trying to warn about the evil that IPOB would visit on Igbo land that would not easy to vanquish. Ijeleaspeak was even jailed because of a defamation case. Poor guy was made virtually stateless because, in ala Igbo, you will become an object of hate if you try to prevent Igbos from indulging in their favourite hobby of hating outsiders and blaming them for everything. While some of us engaged with him here directly and supported his brave stance of putting himself in the way of physical harm to open the eyes of his fellow men, thy gave this guy hell on Nairaland. When h showed exclusive of IPOB horror they will accuse him of working with "Fulanis DSS" who where the one, according to them, committing the crimes IjeleSpeak was exposing and never Igbos. Who is crying today while Igbos have lost someone, I.e Ijelespeak, who was an objective voice that warned them they would land where they are today if they do no reject hate preachers like Kanu, ekpa etal? Same venom they aytack Soludo, Umahi etal with. They appear beyond redemption. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSSCcrptc/ https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSSC7EHxs/ https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSSCvXAKn/ |
casualobserver:You are 100% correct about the bolded. |
nedu666:Lol. I am flattered you read that and consequently even responded to my "rubbish essay". Anyone totally anonymous in life is not living as that means you have no impact, positive or otherwise, on others. 😎 |
tinsel:This is why I asked him to confirm the name of those he is referring to as "a Know political rascal and thugs" so we can ask demand he show what he bases those conclusions on. Ethno-religious hatred of Nigerians, against other Nigerians, is destroying our nation whereby, under this forced 'one Nigeria' lunacy, a leader doing well is even hated toxically because of his religious or ethnic background. It is a pressure cooker situation that may lead to a Rwanda-style genocidial ethnic face-off if wise heads don't prevail to give us a release valve option, shown below, to the 'One Nigeria' pressure cooker situation that is getting beyond boiling point and about to explode. When the worst happens, courtesy of those who can never be reasonable, Yorubas will remind all others we suggested what is shown below. https://punchng.com/swest-govs-propose-six-regions-demand-lg-autonomy-resource-control/#google_vignette

SeeWahala:Lol will you guys ever be able to rise above a primordial predisposition for responding to everything emotionally and based on traditional prejudice you have against others? Is Vanguard also part of the "Lagos Ibadan Expressway media lies"? https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/08/2027-if-obi-cant-become-president-support-tinubu-rev-onuagha-tells-ndigbo/ Do you think all Igbos are like you and hate Yorubas and Tinubu to the extent they cannot be true to the God they serve and even their fellow men to then offer factual testimony of Yoruba's goodness towards Igbos as Rev Onuagha does below? “Do you know why am saying this, Igbo’s have never gotten the type of favour from Federal Government, like we have this time aroundUmahi, Kalu and many of your reasonable leaders have confirmed the above. Yet you reject it to insist Yorubas and Tinubu are your enemies to the extent you now embrace Atiku, Malami, El Rufai etal as your new Gods. The hatred of you lot for Yorubas, who have never harmed or threatened your interests, let alone carry out a pogrom against you as the North did, na die. This is why Yoruba and Igbo relationship is strained today. You never put yourself in the shoes of Yorubas to note how you insist on demonizing a people who ,in reality and factually, are your greatest allies globally yet you proclaim them your "worst enemies" simply because we won't allow you turn our accommodating SW into an annex of your SE that Igbos control politically and administratively. Good luck to you lot. I will only ask you to observe Yorubas have always been historically okay , because they tend to make dispassionately correct decisions, and have therefore avoided traumatic damages to their psyche as you Igbos forced upon yourself making sentimental decisions that led you into the Igbo Coup, Civil War and IPOB madness that has now left you a confused people suffering from mass PTSD today. The talk of most of you confirm that, again, you are about to self-destruct. |
helinues:I am surprised you can even respond to what appears gobbledygook. I can see why Seun introduced the feature encouraging Nairalanders to write more intelligently to encourage stimulating and educative discussions here. |
Educationalserv:Bro, you are all over the place. Your writing style is terrible. Highly personalised toxicity and discussion of several disjointed issues and individuals at the same time. Clearly obvious you assume others understand you. Yet how does that make sense when you mention a "polotixal rascal and thug" you do not name and an LGA chairman you don't identify etc. Finally, what on earth is that below? Now the LGA chairman from a dead LGA in Kano didn't know he need Senate clearance resume with 50 thugs to take over .What the hell are you talking about? Senate clearance? 50 thugs to take over? Can't you try to be calm and write coherently without assuming others are your clones who know what is in your head? |
Wickedlywicked:We have told them this countless times yet they fail to see how hate compromises their thinking and talk to leave them appearing as enemies of Nigeria's progress their fraudulent arguments confirm they are. They will tell tell you power supply cannot improve without increased generation since Nigeria needs 300 million megawatts while she produces only 1.5 Megawatts. Yet what they ignorantly miss, because demarketing Nigeria and the government in power is their primary agenda, is that power generation is not the only consideration in getting power into residential and business properties . There is distribution and transmission of power also which were very inefficient and ensuring, before PBAT came on board, that what we generated was not reaching end users efficiently. It is mainly at the distribution end Adelabu, Minister of power, has recorded good success. For example, distribution companies were sold to private firms under GEJ. Meaning those DISCOs must operate profitably. They could not do that under the hands-off and welfarist outlook of GEJ and Buhari whereby most Nigerians want power they do not wish to pay an adequate amount for given how expensive the entire chain of power supply is. Adelabu simply realised DISCOs had to be incentivised to perform better by allowing them make more profit. This is why we had tariffs hike that means DISCOs received more money to run their operation and increase efficiency/profit. Naturally, they are performing better. Not rocket science. There are other technical issues Adelabu has done well to improve upon leading to the improved power Nigerians are enjoying now. Suffice to say anyone making the lame argument that Nigeria needs to generate this or than amount to experience improved power is grossly ignorant because what we were generating was not been distributed efficiently to begin. Meaning that is an area of gain a competent power Minister can improve to provide better power supply for Nigeria while other policies and measures, such as full deregulation of power sector etal, pick up the slack on the generation end onwards to securing reliable 24/7 power supply for most States of Nigeria. |
Smartcitizen:Lol. "Karma is real" indeed. Sir, keep doing yourself thinking you are doing Yorubas. The Yorubas just want to make progress. That is why they are called progressives. "Demonization" of GEJ, that even GEJ and his family are not complaining to you about, is in your head only because of how you are indoctrinated to resent Yorubas. GEJ was a weak and ineffective leader who did not address even one out of the many fundamental problems that needs to be tackled if Nigeria is to develop optimally. Yoruba leaders rightly called him out for this so how is that "demonization"? Even GEJ himself will admit he was too weak and did not do what has to be done, on behalf of Nigerians, due to bullying from the North and not Yorubas. Listen to the host in the video, from time stamp 5:20, to hear him say GEJ himself today, haven been President to experience the real issues keeping Nigeria down, confesses to visitors that Nigeria cannot be saved . To anyone sane, does it appear it is Yorubas GEJ has need with? Proof Tinubu and Yorubas criticised GEJ correctly, rather than "demonized" him, can be confirmed by how Tinubu is doing all that GEJ himself will regret he did not have the balls to do. Fuel subsidy removal, development commission for all regions, local Government autonomy, Naira floatation, concrete steps towards realisation of State policing GEJ claimed Nigeria was not "ripe" for, Lagos-Calabar coastal road massively bringing the SS into the development loop (that all Southern President including GEJ would be too scared to touch) , tax reforms encouraging those doing the right thing to be rewarded for their endeavours, etc, etc, etc. Even Amaechi has come out to denounce GEJ for doing nothing for the SS but the only thing Amaechi left out, since he needs Northerners for his ambition, is that GEJ was too weak and scared of Northerners to ever go where they have told him not to go even if doing so would have saved thousands of Nigerian lives. Ultimately, those who are honest will confess Yorubas are decent, peaceful and progress-seeking. If we harm anyone in the process of chasing our interest, it is not intentional or evil as, for example, deliberate use of terrorism by others (core North and SE) is. Stop being cheap. Watch the video in my post. Listen in particular to the blogger host, from time stamp 5:20. I think he is Igbo. Interestingly, he spoke about GEJ you only wish to define per what you believe Yorubas did to him with no recognition whatsoever for how GEJ, by letting Northern supremacists and hawks control him 100%, let all Nigerians down in ways Tinubu is not doing. Afterwards come back to confess the blogger is a sensible, pragmatically intelligent and progressive Igbo man whereas most of you are emotional and more interested in cutting your nose to spite your faces thinking you are doing "ndi Yoruba". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEczxfZ1s7Q?si=_JBkwznqRWaHjHJa |
Smartcitizen:If you guys can rise above ethno-religious hatred of others for even one hour of your life you'd actually realize the cold and pragmatic reality of Nigeria which is that, for many reasons I can't be bothered to list, the North is the Elephant in the room that must always be pacified and not other regions. If you understand this then you'd support a President trying to free all Nigerian regions of the compromise the North has bogged us down with through his attempt to decentralise Power/processes and restructure the fundamental underpinnings of Nigerian governance. Cry all you want but IPOB will not be rehabilitated neither will Oduduwa fighters because the excuses will be that they are secessionist while terrorist in the North are under religious ideological radicalisation. I really don't know when you guys will begin to rise above emotions to see and join the effort, not for Yorubas but for yourselves and your generation unborn, for Nigerians to gain near complete complete control over how they wish to live via significantly defeating 'one Nigeria' menacing effects on all our lives through regional independence. One key concept you people will never get is that if we cannot totally separate from the North then the next best option is to manage that reality well so that their menace affects us less. If we had regional autonomy and regional policing, for example, IPOB would never have happened to the SE because, hopefully, the SE police would do a good job repelling Fulani herdsmen criminality in the SE meaning Kanu would have no reason to form IPOB to then turn a thriving region into a sit-at'home ghost lland full of teenage killers with Assault rifles. Emotions and sentiments is what, to our own detriment, leads many Nigerians to put Horse before the cart always. It why so many fundamental problems that have dogged Nigeria for decades, yet have simple solutions, remain unresolved. Keep shouting "fumbling" Tinubu because hate has blocked you seeing he is actually an ally. Perhaps the only Southern leader capable of delivering what the South needs to gain more control over pivotal aspects of decision-making and processes. If not that you are blinded by inordinate and ethnocentric love of your kinsmen, you'd accept it is actually weaklings like GEJ or Obi who are the "fumblers' that will allow the North to continue getting away with murder against the rest of us. Literally. Tinubu and most Yorubas are not against the North. In fact we wish them well because if they are well then Nigeria is well. Yet we want a Nigeria that is fair to all. This means a Nigeria where some people's problems, they are not working sincerely to curb, is not allowed to continue ruining the lives and future of others forever. That is what the Hausa man below is saying precisely. It is irritating you people just keep shouting Tinubu and Yorubas up and down. We are not the problem of Nigeria. Neither is Tinubu’s Presidency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEczxfZ1s7Q?si=kNErkFBL4q5YzYK9 |
SalamRushdie:Lol. We beg you lot to think before you talk rather than speak to then remove all doubt you are enemies of Nigeria's progress who will never be happy to acknowledge any progress she makes as long as such is not under your own kinsman. It has always been so with you guys. How much of Nigeria's electricity supply do you think comes from hydropower? 90%? And how much of that hydropower do you believe supplies the Southern region of Nigeria that most giving testimony here are from? 100%? Hope you are educated enough to understand what is shown below discredits your "rainy season" garbage. Abi you wish to argue with facts? This is not the nineties , when access to the net and information was poor, and you can tell preposterous lies you then get away with to assist your mission of warping the narrative.
|
ceejay80s:The information age rubbishes your "raining season" talk as an ignorant and thoroughly discredited lie. The power supply improvement is permanent. I can verify this from using Lagos Island where power was steady last year in October throughout very dry December and then January to February. How many, going by the thousands confirming improvement in power on Nairaland and different online blogs, are they bribing with XP laptop to come and "say rubbish online"? Saying that alone reveals what you are. It is even a show of ignorance , from you and some making same "rainy season" excuse, to suggest dam electrification is the mainstay of Nigerian power supply whereas it is actually 12-17% while gas-powered plants account for 86%. Sew below. See also confirmation that gas-powered electrification accounts for majority of power supply in the South , meaning hydropower is "not the primary source of power supply for the region". How does it then make sense , even if you are completely uneducated, "rainy season" is pivotally impactful over signoficantly improved power supply in the south many are confirming here? Your talk reveals you are, for whatever reason/s, an enemy of Nigeria's progress.

DMerciful:While Biafran haters of |
Lol. Loose-mouthed Amaechi has thrown the treacherous, dithering and cowardly Fayemi under the bus. These are early signs ADC is a self-destructive joke. Many are speaking in ADC favour, from Sule Lamido to Fayemi etal but not willing to leave their Party that gave them political life and status to go and join Atiku's doomed ambition and exercise in futility. Fayemi now denying ADC to insist he remains a member of APC where he is finished and essentially viewed a traitor and dead man walking. Nigerian politics is crazier than Nollywood walahi |
seunmsg:Lol. That guy is a certified sadist. Totally beyond rehabilitation. |
bixton:Amaechi can't help himself because, deconstructed to basics, he stands for nothing as a political leader. Like at least 90% of Nigerian politicians. |
cucumbar:Lol. Having lived abroad or holding dual nationality, is nothing to be proud of these days other than for Nigwrians who are unexposed, with poor man's mentality, and thinks everything overseas is better. Succesful African businessmen can even get a tier 1 investment visa to the UK and then gain full citizenship after a qualifying period of five years. It is no big deal today becoming a dual citizen of a developed nation if wealthy. This fact should motivate many Africans, in an age of increasing protectionism and trade wars, to stay home and make it there onwards to conquering the world. Check my past post to see I defend Nigeria as a good place to live if you have what would be a level of income to elevate you above most problems. I even try to advise Nigerians with large savings to consider investing such in a well-researched business in Nigeria that can grow and multiply instead of going the 'Japa' route. It is because I know the rest of the world well that I prefer life in Nigeria based around good business income that most salaried job cannot provide. Many who have conventional success in the West , to include African Americans who have never lived in Africa, are even moving to African nations to enjoy better work, life and leisure balance with no restrictive ceiling of potential opportunities and/or achievements. What I however do always is give credit where due. In that regard, Brits and Europeans are not the mates of Nigerians per political sophistication of the electorates. It is like comparing day and night. Even as some African nations are catching up and exemplary, like Seychelles etal, virtually all nations in the West host electorates far more political sophisticated than Nigeria. Fact. Europeans, for example, are literally millions years ahead of Nigerians in terms of political sophistication. Point is that Atiku, Obi etal would be misfits, for example, in the eyes of the British or Canadian electorate. You can't Iive as Atiku does to then get support from Brits who'd view him as "uppity" i.e self-important and arrogant. You cannot be Obi and have a political CV of mediocrity and even gross failings, like Ezu river floating bodies, to then remain in politics let alone be attempting to be UK Prime Minister. This is the truth even if you cannot see it. |
seunmsg:This was conceived in 2016 under Ganduje as a PPP project. Tinubu has merely agreed to release the funds, perhaps government's own counterpart sum, for it construction. The right thing to do IMO. https://youtube.com/shorts/ZFTOkXfhr3M?si=qi_u665W-Y7S6Osk |
seunmsg:Simple as that. Name your State, Local Government and Street. All this vague 'dem say dem say' is tiring. What are we all educated for if we wish to sit here for hours indulging in conjectures when citizens of developed nations will simply use precise info others supply to validate the precise situation of things? Is it just to make nebulous claim of "my area" without precise identification to back a narrative the government is succeeding or failing in the power sector? Honestly, Nigerian human resources can frustrate immensely because the way they are wired makes them the greatest enemies of one another. |
Max24:God bless you. Precisely same thing I stated to another poster above . Some are determined to ensure, even if with lies, Nigerians hate everything about the PBAT government and reject everything about it to include never-before-seen success all progressive Nigerians , even if they hate Tinubu, should admit. Demand he should name his precise State, Street and LGA. We are living in an information age and some of us can quickly establish if he is lying or not by finding out the problem, that may be peculiar to his area, preventing the constant power many are now experiencing. The problem is that many prejudiced, hateful and bitter Nigerian,, with an axe to grind against the current government that has nothing to do with performance, like to drag us all into the mud of insult and conjecture so that the true picture is blurred and the narrative they wish to sell then wins to skew popular opinion. Let's stick to fact and investigative research as learned men and women. You have a power issue? Then name your state, street name and even LGA so we can investigate up to the level of emailing your legislator and LGA Chairman. Nigeria is not developing because followers spend ages on redundant gossip and conjectures instead of subjecting most issues to the test of scientific and factual validations Many citizens, in civilised clime, would even assign members of blogs and online discussion forums to contact authoritative leaders in politics and public administration so that those genuinely interest in societal progress have definitive answers that defeats the agenda of compromised saboteurs seeking to lie and prop up the image of underperforming government and also discredit those who wish to evilly deny the good the government in power is factually delivering. |
Firebox123:Bro, you are wrong and will remain in darkness if you think the testimony of many Nigerians can somehow be a conspiracy "to promote tinubu reelection in 2027". kindly petition your local DISCO office to find out if there may be a generation issue related to infrastructure. OP is entirely correct because majority can testify to the work of Adelabu, Minister of power, per vastly improved and never before seen (at least in my lifetime) constant power supply mainly aided by much improved efficiency in the distribution end that higher tariffs introduced have more than justified. I live in Lekki phase 1 and dabble in property development across the Island up to Ajah and Sangotedo which are tending towards Epe. We have had steady power supply in my residence for like three to four months now with stretches of even four to five days of constant power. Same extends to areas across the Island I have property development interests in. I don't have to reveal the above but do so to challenge others to fact check and discredit me if I lie and your sort are correct trying to insinuate the situation in your area is general across Nigeria. It is by being real we can change Nigeria for better and not with lies or pursuit of hidden agendas. Many ordinary Nigerians have no interest interest in fooling anyone because of any 2027 political agenda. Residential and business power users are just happy to confirm they are getting constant power supply that is aiding them to make progress. Politicians come and go whereas progress is what upright Nigerians should seek always and should be duty-bound to confirm when they experience it. Again, if you really want steady power others are enjoying, then get in touch with your power DISCO to understand if there is an issue you can lobby your LGA chairman or legislature to look into. That is their job. Your situation, assuming you are even telling the truth, is abnormal for the much improved current state of affairs many Nigerians are now enjoying. Begin by doing something about it rather than think all others are in your shoes or working for Tinubu's re-election. |

. You are very right, Power supply seems to improve since it hasn’t rained in Nigeria in the last 18 year and because rain started falling in Nigeria in 2025. Nigeria discovered a huge deposit of rain in February 2025 and that’s why their power generation and distribution seems to improve significantly in some areas compared to how it used to be. Arindin
